Be careful when buying one of these houses. The KB reps will do everything in their power to let you know that issues discovered during a house inspection is typical and not something they can fix. There warranty phone number and email is also not reliable and they say they will respond in 24 hours but that has not happened on multiple occasions. In fact, it requires multiple time to call and follow-up with them. Buyers beware.

They have done a great job at working with my husband and I and our schedules.

A pleasant experience was ruined by the closing company. I don't understand why we had to drive to tucson with funds when there are soo many title companies nearby. It took 24 hours after the check was delivered to actual closing. I was not told the closing date until it was too late to do electronic transfer of funds.

Heidi our customer service rep has been great. She lends an attentive ear to the issues and has been able to get things corrected. Some examples were the hammer valve under the kitchen sink started leaking when we used the dishwasher, then the cabinets needed re-skinned due to water damage from leaking water, had the missing clothes bar installed in the bedroom closet...... Contractors are a little slow to respond. Construction Managers Cleaning crew, if they showed up did a very poor job cleaning. I have spent several hours so far cleaning floors and carpets mostly paint spatters. during the initial walk through we tagged many areas for paint touch up, areas where molding, door casings and trim had been damaged or poorly repaired, doors with noticeable runs, shelving in closets that looked like they were painted with over spray rather than smoothly painted. Very few of these items were corrected and some of those paint touch ups were done with the wrong paint ( flat on semi gloss or semi gloss on flat paint ). Door bottoms on many of the interior doors are chipped or splintered, front door whistles when the wind blows, ( this is scheduled for repair ). I asked for plans regarding the drainage in the back yard more than once and this request was ignored. I wanted to know how it was designed and works. The half hot outlets in the two smaller bedrooms were not identified. This list could go on and on. Buying a KB home was easy. The only problem we ran into was the Losn office.

Had an issue with the oven. After only a few uses, the starter switch broke. Didn’t have an oven for a week.The shower leaked onto the baseboard due to poor workmanship. The refrigerator was scratched and had to be replaced. Seems as if the trades people are lacking an attention to detail. Too many major or minor repairs. It’s frustrating.

I had a very good experience from the builder’s to the top people in KB. They were all ready and did help me. I really believe they all wanted me to have my house. And we’re willing to go the extra mile for me. Thank you all I appreciate you.

Our first NEW home and we couldn’t be happier. The people at KB have been so helpful, friendly and welcoming. We love our new home and community!

Everything has been really great from all members of the team, the only real complaint I’ve had is with the hoa. Some members of the community have left their broken down cars on the side of the road and left the yards with lots of weeds despite the neighborhood not being that old. It’s a bit disappointing for how much we are paying but the overall home buying and designing has been great

A lot of issues were overlooked due to lack of craftsmanship and quality of workers. Simple things that could have been adressed in the matter of a few moments left to be ignored.

Moved to Tucson in March. Discovered after months of searching new & pre-owned homes with top realtor Peter that KB offered a sound value, contemporary design, quality location for a commuter to downtown as well as to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, competent build, and hired outstanding can-do staff (including but not limited to Elaine (who introduced me to KB) in sales, Eddie in sales, Rose in walk-through, and Jack the construction supervisor). No regrets!

I enjoyed working with the finance Raul Cunes. He was the best part of the buying experience. We had a good time with the design center. They really were helpful in getting all of what we wanted. We also liked Melena our sales agent. We had some miss communication but in the end she came through.

Shoddy construction and materials issues

We were both amazed at the professionalism and attention we received from everyone we encountered. From the buying experience to move-in to quality of the home to follow-up…all has been great.

Initially customer service is very responsive, but about a month out I am still waiting for a hole in the driveway to be fixed and for my towel racks in my bathrooms to be fixed so that they don’t keep falling off. Also I’ve noticed that after a heavy rain the backyard floods and the drainage is slow, so I’ve been waiting for someone to respond concerning that issue.

Everyone at KB are great. They have great customer service. They were very responsive to all our questions and concerns.

The sales side and the site managers who you actually speak with are great. My only downside is now that I’m moved in, the rest of neighborhood still needs to be built and the guys building the houses don’t seem to care about blocking your driveway or a whole street so you can’t even get to your house. Situational awareness is not one of their strongest traits. They’ll sit in their car on their phones blocking a street and won’t notice you patiently waiting for them to move until you honk but then you get stared down for having the audacity of interrupting them blocking the street. everyone was pleasant to me. the quality of work for the tile and flooring was poor

Love the house but had to wait 7 months for the build. Other houses in the neighborhood have gone up much faster. Like KB Home better than other builders in the area.

I purchased this home as to be our last home. We have had nothing but issues with loud Mexican music played by construction workers. Fire alarms that come on randomly for no reason. Door seels that are improperly installed. Expensive filters for the home, four different types. Carpet is standard in the dining area, in other words you're eating on carpeted floors; so 70's. Poor home construction, walls feel like paint on cardboard. Do not buy a home here! I'm looking to sell and only been here two months, yes, it's that bad!
