Good for the most part there are things that should have been included that just made common sense

There is a lot to say but I will summarize. The construction staff are great. Attentive to fixits. The lender process was stressful due to a lack of communication and difficulty initially getting responses and requested information. The last portion of the process went well. The garage has a large crack in the floor already due to the water heater pole being initially placed in the wrong corner and the concrete poured appropriately in that wrong corner, then the heater pole was moved to the opposite corner and placed after the concrete was already poured, so now there is a crack. Other than that, the construction staff has repaired anything necessary, T he builder offered a survey at the end of the process, saying if I rated them with all 10s, the would include an incentive where the construction staff did a small home improvement such as install ceiling fans or paint an accent wall. To me it seemed more like a bribe. They did not get all 10s from me. Also, the construction superintendent is apparently a 23-year-old according to the office staff, of whom they are all proud due to his huge success at his young age. He drove his extremely loud red Dodge Charger down the residential street at a high rate of speed, then screeched his tires as he drove recklessly onto the main road. He did this more than once and after residents had already moved in. Very immature and unprofessional, and a terrible image for the company. I've been in the house for a little over a month now and everything seems to be well-insulated and put together after the little repairs were done. Overall I’m happy with my purchase. KB did a great job communicating throughout the home purchase. There were some minor concerns that I had where improvement could be made by KB.

I was so disappointed. I closed on March 25, 2022. No screen windows, no screen door, no hardware in the kitchen and bathrooms. No Aircondition. I set up the ecobee but it doesn’t connect to the A/C. There s no update when they will get the screens and the hardwares or kitchen pulls It is now May 17. And it is so hot.

What an adventure getting into our new home. There were a few bumps but we manage to get through it. Just wish we could of locked in our interest rate sooner. Sebrina and Nora were great to work with. Sebrina sent picture updates as things were getting done. Nora, resolved every lending issue and communicated with us often. Looking at our home from the outside was everything we expected. But during our walkthrough there were many flaws I noticed and some after getting settled in. With the time KB took to build our home these issues should have been seen and fixed. We've reached out to KB warranty the issues will be looked and hopefully resolve. Overall KB Home Marshall Estates offered the big lot size we looked for and peaceful neighborhood. ... More

Things do not get fixed. Beautiful house love my home but no follow through

Everything during the home buying experience was great in the beginning I didn’t have any issues with the selling agent at all she was very responsive to any questions or concerns I had, I can’t say the same thing for my loan officer and I have tried my best to put myself in her position as far as having the amount of buyers to deal with at once towards the end of the process I wasn’t getting a response like I was initially many times my text would go for a day or two before receiving a response phone calls sometimes would go straight to voicemail, my number one concern around this time was the interest rate was starting to go up and there was no discussion on locking in or a plan to talk when we will long story short I ended up locking in on a random phone call at the height of the interest rates, I felt ignored at times. I know my experience will be different than others but having to settle for an interest rates at its height really bothered me and made my experience very poor. The home build itself is wonderful and what we asked for. The process of buying the home was the hassle. There was major communication issues with every aspect, KB reps, finance personnel, approval office, etc. There needs to be better communication to make the home buying experience with KB Home a wonderful process and experience.

The experience was good but not great. The sales rep Petra was really responsive and was answering questions great until the sale was finalizing. Toward the closing of the property, only information given was delays after delays with no explanation. Had to get construction supervisor involved to get information that was supposedly passed on to the rep. On closing day, sales rep was no where to be found and we had to ask another rep for a sign and take our own picture. It’s been almost 2 months since closing and not a single follow up other than automated emails. For a huge multi million builder, please do better in the sales department and have people who actually care about people. ... More

The date of closing was pushed almost 3 months. The response for the delayed closing date could have been handled better. Other than that issue the overall buying experience was fair.

KB Homes has great selection of features for the home. However, everything costs money: you want lights in a room? It is going to cost you. You want lights in the kitchen and living room? It is going to cost you. It does NOT come with lights, only outlets for "lamps". Be aware of the great variety of options available, as they can be costly and increase the home purchase price significantly higher. Overall, so far, great quality home (2 months in). Also, plan for significant delays. If they expect the home to be "finished" by a certain month, plan at least 1-2 months more of delays. That way, you'll have somewhere to stay. ... More

On your final walk through make sure everything works. So, there is no hassle for any maintenance issue.

You need to just follow up with them to be able to know the status on where you at.

KB Homes in Madera is a nice community but I have been in my home almost 2 months and i still have several issues with my home. Workmanship is not the greatest and communication is also lacking. KB is determined to correct all the issues however it is liking pulling teeth trying to get the repairs scheduled.

The overall process was not too great. The KB team was not always communicating with me about what the next steps were. Because of the back orders they were not able to tell me when I would be able to get my microwave vent.

On your final walk through make sure everything is working & upgraded that you pay for But Kb homes Construction manager not take care of my driveway its not contructed well to hight to park car i am really not satisfied with my driveway

Responsiveness could’ve been better at Laurel Grove.

As far as the sales team goes, everyone is great. However, when it comes down to the wire and we look at the quality of home you are getting, I definitely feel that I was shorted. I have had multiple issues since purchasing the home and most of them are from poor workmanship and/or carelessness of the building team. I have had some of the issues handled however, it has been about 2 months since I moved in and I am still waiting for some resolution. I ended up hiring my own electrician to fix the wiring but there are many issues left untouched. I might be the one in a million bad egg home but, given the information on the quality of home, had I known this before, I may have chosen to take my money elsewhere. ... More

There are promised items still waiting on after 2 months. The simple little issues were corrected.

After the key turn over I inspect the house and hvac drip line was not completed, water over filled up on hvac over flow tray. contractors left bottle waters and a mess in the attic(unprofessional workmanship). Sprinkler have a trouble short circuit(took over 2 months for contractors to come out for repair. Flooring have multiple damages in multiple places. Chips, on cabinet/walls, loose trimmings, hood system duct work installation is poor, tub have a crack. No sealant around the sink which caused water to leak down to the bottom emanating the skin, gutter is damaged, windows have a scratch, sliding door to the back yard handle is loose, receptacle and switch does not work as well as electrical Miss wiring and multiple roof tiles are chipped. Contractors unreliable and can not meet on promising dates to come for repairs or no response. ... More

Seems like they finished home in rush and had some issues with home. Took them forever to fix the problems and there are still some that I had to fix it my self. Never had frame walk when they were building the home. Had few concerns during building process that we aren't sure if they were fixed or not because no one got back to us.

Do not close till ALL issues are resolve. They will do bare minimum once you are in home.

They were not truthful about the move in date and kept pushing back the date. The quality of the home is not worth the price I paid. There are a lot of defects in the home that needs to be repaired.

My buying experience was horrible. Getting accurate and truthful information was like pulling eye-teeth. Things did not start getting better until the PR guy stepped in. Many of the upgrades were overpriced and some of the trades were very careless with their work. But so far, the PR/Warranty person I've been in contact with is outstanding. I am very thankful for that, and the home is nice. But the buying process was one of the most stressful things I have encountered in quite a few years.
