KB Home - After the key turn over I inspect the house and hvac drip line

After the key turn over I inspect the house and hvac drip line was not completed, water over filled up on hvac over flow tray. contractors left bottle waters and a mess in the attic(unprofessional workmanship). Sprinkler have a trouble short circuit(took over 2 months for contractors to come out for repair. Flooring have multiple damages in multiple places. Chips, on cabinet/walls, loose trimmings, hood system duct work installation is poor, tub have a crack. No sealant around the sink which caused water to leak down to the bottom emanating the skin, gutter is damaged, windows have a ...

Had multiple problems with home when moved in

Seems like they finished home in rush and had some issues with home. Took them forever to fix the problems and there are still some that I had to fix it my self. Never had frame walk when they were building the home. Had few concerns during building process that we aren't sure if they were fixed or not because no one got back to us.

They were not truthful about the move in date and kept pushing back the date. The quality of the home is not worth the price I paid. There are a lot of defects in the home that needs to be repaired.

Little communication but many lies from sales counselors

My buying experience was horrible. Getting accurate and truthful information was like pulling eye-teeth. Things did not start getting better until the PR guy stepped in. Many of the upgrades were overpriced and some of the trades were very careless with their work. But so far, the PR/Warranty person I've been in contact with is outstanding. I am very thankful for that, and the home is nice. But the buying process was one of the most stressful things I have encountered in quite a few years.

Hurried and half hearted effort

Back office loan folks were rude and disrespectful. Many projects were rushed as the longer we are there the more we can see uneven title, cement not completely used underneath tile which led to cracking. Show doors/door way unevenly done. Dish washer was immediately broken day one of move in (heating element), appliances are cheap and not well made, will have to repaint as flat white paint used, list goes on. It’s a house that was affordable in today’s market but you get what you paid for. Also despite promises of community is not lived in it will be delayed. Past three communities locally ...

Nearly two months in and I still have a broken garage. Not all my knobs for my cabinets are installed. It took over a month to provide a missing air filter.

Robbed me of the joy in buying my first home

The entire experience was/is horrible. From the start a salesperson giving wrong information about home options & solar programs, sales/customer service people not showing up to home walk through appointments, to multiple building delays. After a 11 month wait l moved in & it took five weeks to gain access to my mailbox. Not to mention, after two appraisals the house still came in almost $30k under the purchase price. Highly recommend using another builder.

We were provided unsatisfactory experience throughout the entire process, from initial purchase to final move-in. The quality of the workmanship and customer service were horrible! There is value of our new home because of the lot size and location I’m hesitant to trust the home itself has the value of what we paid due to lack of workmanship/customer service. I am unhappy with my KB Home. The home was quickly built and it shows. My walls are not straight and the interior paint is horrible. I will not buy another KB Home in the future and can’t wait to sell this one soon.

We were very excited when we made an offer for our first home with KB home in Tesoro Viejo, Madera, CA but our excitement got ruined when the bulider doesn’t meet the expectations. First of all, it started with the sales management. Through our whole home buying process, their sales agents were keep on changing so we had to work with 3 different sales agents in 6-7 months and there was lack of communication and transparency. I regret buying home from KBhome my kitchen cabinet fall off and they haven’t fix for 2months. My garage door is broken and I message and call No response. I wish I have done my research before going with KBHOMES. Very bad experience

We had high hopes in the very beginning, but after KB got our non refundable $5000 things changed. We were treated rudely and couldn’t get straight answers for anything. After moving in we’ve had one problem after another. It doesn’t seem like anything can go smoothly. We’ve had someone out about our flooring 4 times and are still having major issues. KB told us in the buying process that they stand behind their build and products, but we’re feeling very letdown. We’ve had many issues with many !! Things some have been resolved and some haven’t.

Bad workmanship and a lot of missing and damaged selected appraised items

I would stay clear from KB Home in Madera County CA because it doesn’t make sense to buy a new home that have so many damaged and missing items. I bought the top model and paid a lot for a lot of upgrades items, but a lot of it are damaged and are still missing. It’s a very aggravating new home buying experience. In light of this, maybe KB Home is different in different counties/states, but it’s very bad in Madera County CA thats for sure.
