Vanessa and George have been/are great, very attentive and professional. We are very happy with the customer service they provide. This review is mostly for them. Aside from George and Vanessa, we have had to be very proactive throughout the process to ensure things are getting done, from loans to post closing.

From sales and throughout the entire experience, I have had one of the best buying experiences with KB and their team of professionals. I was well informed from beginning to end and there hasn't been any significant issues with the construction.. This has been my first new home purchase and I look forward to perhaps more KB future opportunities...

KB Homes throughout the sales and construction process is a good partner, however, once our home was delivered with a number of issues we have been unable to get any resolution from KB. They sold us the home in a manner inconsistent with how it was sold and then disappeared. Quality is fine, though there are major oversights and issues with the home.

Overall the workmanship of the home is top notch The tile floors are truly awesome, as are the cabinets, vinyl plank flooring, etc. The contractors are practically superhuman, talented, responsive and compassionate but spread way too thin! KB would be wise to hire more with the frenetic pace of building.

Happy with KB homes. Quality of homes being built now have been improved matching those builders at the top level may be even higher. Pricing is more affordable which also included those necessary upgrades. Customer service is fast and effective compare with other builders in the same community. For future investment in housing I would look and recommend KB.

This review appears to be after receiving my home and living here, so this will solely be based on that. When moving in, we were too excited to see what was actually wrong with the place. Furthermore, when meeting to have things fixed, this was impossible to get a hold of people. Some were great and apologize to have to include them in this, but others were terrible and lost my trust in them. We found many things wrong with the walls, paint missed, windows messed up/cracked, the outside exterior cracking, and most importantly, the floor are uneven! Deadlines aren't being met, responsiveness to our requests are ignored. It's like they finished and done with us not following through. We ordered things and they aren't in our home and no information is being provided to us. It's extremely frustrating and find it very unprofessional. Very professional and kind when it come to the paperwork/money (that department rocked), but now that it's off their hands, they forgot about us completely. There is no trust in KB. We started our journey with someone who is no longer at KB. He left us high and dry. Indicated he would handle things and did not. It took a year to take delivery of our home. And during that time our appliances were discontinued and no one told us. Things we selected for our home were left out and now KB is not completing. We paid for certain upgrades that were not fulfilled and they aren’t wanting to fix it. We did a final walk thru prior to closing and we’ve been in our home for a month with nothing is being addressed or fixed. There is one customer service person who cannot do it all. And the KB reps want to just say no to everything you ask. There is no feeling of trust, support or responsiveness. Had I known that this was the KB experience I would have run the other way. ... The overall experience (deposit through key delivery) had its ups and downs. The initial loan approval process was confusing and required multiple engagements to clear up what we wanted in terms of mortgage product options and terms. The build ran over planned time by several months. The initial walk through (approximately one week prior to closing) was unsatisfactory. We had multiple items that required repair, missing items, or general workmanship issues. After multiple re-inspections we did receive a quality product.

Paint workmanship inside of the home is 2 out of 5 ratings. We've repainted many walls ourselves already. A few repair requests made in mid-May 2022 are still pending as of June 28, 2022. Responsiveness to issues is horrible.

Love my house, love my community, do not love the experience

This experience was our first time building from the ground up but not our first time buying a home, thus we were very excited in the beginning. However, lack of communication, delays, stuff not working upon move in, things still not working months later, and noticing finishes in were haphazardly put together does not push us to want to purchase another KB home.

The Construction Supervisor, Chris, was exceptional. During the build, he conducted multiple FaceTimes with us as well as emails and texts. He was extremely responsive to all questions, etc. Once we moved in, he was with us “every step of the way” to ensure a smooth and happy move-in.

The KB team makes the home buying experience very comfortable, especially as a first time home buyer. We had a lot of anxiety going into the buying process, especially in today's market. The KB team provided us with the information for all our questions. They were great partners to work with.

Overall the process was a little rocky and communication was not always the strong suit of KB Homes. Solar Panels were a requirement but initial signing of documents and discussion with sales office indicated they were optional (our realtor confirmed they were optional for us), and was only later revealed as required very offhandedly during a random drop-in at the model homes. This was a very expensive thing to suddenly have to consider and seeing as this law was passed before we even visited the site and considered purchasing, seemed like a big oversight on the sales office. We also met some other homebuyers and they talked about how they were hit with the solar panels after, so we know it was our visit that caused the sales office to realize their very big error on that front and reach out to other buyers in our phase. Our home design session was also somewhat stressful; we scheduled an in-person appointment because there was no deadline, and then found out that the deadline had been set, our appointment was after it, and all in-person appointments were booked leading up to our deadline. Luckily accommodations were made but seemed like another oversight that added undue stress. We were also told we would receive updates on the progress of the house but never did. There were three site visits we were supposed to have, two optional and then the final walkthrough which was mandatory. For the first optional one we weren't contacted for it until well after the foundation had been laid. We were never contacted for our second optional walkthrough. Also after moving in we were supposed to have 10 and 30-day follow-ups and had to reach out ourselves to get the 10 day follow-up. Overall seems like we keep falling through the cracks in the communication tree. Probably the biggest error was escrow: we were called and given a very firm close date about 6 weeks ahead of time. This caused us to lock our interest rate with our lender and set about opening up an insurance policy and lining everything up. A few weeks later we learned that the close was pushed, which with supply chain issues is understandable but seemed like a pretty big oversight on the sellers side to move us along into escrow when there seemed like a high chance it wouldn't be done on time. When told about the delay no info, no explanation was supplied. Ended up being delayed over 2 months, luckily we had a place to live while waiting but overall this whole process was not handled well by anyone on the KB Homes side. But we are in the home and we do love it. We are comfortable and happy and overall do not regret all the trials and errors we went through to get here. I will say whenever we talk with our construction liaison they are very friendly, helpful, and responsive. Usually we hear back relatively quickly on any concerns we have, and any little things in the house that needed repairing has been addressed very quickly. So at the end of the day we are happy, but the process to get here was marred by poor communication by the sales office along the way. ... More

Lack of attention to detail in workmanship. The poles and shelving I paid extra for is now collapsing in one room. The paint job is horrible!

It was such an amazing experience and a blessing to have Katrina and the team there . Everyone made the experience an unforgettable one and I will forever be greatful

They continue to work with us after our move in to address small things, such as touch up paint after movers knocked the walls; answer questions, etc.

Sub standard material and selections were offered based on the price of the house. As an example the primary bathroom vanity cabinets have no drawers for storage, unlike earlier phases and model homes, closet door selection was sub standard as well, they had no real options for stair railing options. I could go on and on these are just a few items I had to start a list because it got that bad. When comparing the KB homes in this community to the KB homes in Irvine (which are priced comparable) the selections and quality are night and day.
