Vanessa, Penna and Robert we’re absolutely awesome in every way. They were very responsive to all inquiries, and made the home buying process as simple as possible.

KB homes was very helpful in our home buying process making it possible to go through the process without an agent. There have been very few issues with our house overall though. Minor things have been: door to master bedroom offset, vents are a bit not smooth causing them to be louder than necessary for the air conditioning. And some other minor things that were fixed.

Communication with the sales team was great, and it was great to see each step of the process. Communication with the build team did fall off towards the end, but overall the entire process was relatively easy and there weren't any major issues or concerns.

Build quality needs to be improved.

The sales Bill and builder supervisor Carlos have been responsive in helping settle the issue however the works man-ship and customer service need to step up the effort. I have a window with defect was installed and I asked customer service to fix the issue, however, two months later, I do not have any one come and service the work order. On the other hand, the customer service did respond to clogged toilet. It was found that worker did not remove the pipe caps of the toilet and shower drains after tile installation(Works man ship issue). On works man ship, I have seen floor anchors and nails not driven onto the supporting beam. There are other issues which will be dealt with customer service later. ... More

I had a wonderful experience with the home buying experience. The biggest downfall is whoever painted the house left many paint marks on my tiled floors.

The purchasing process was wonderful, the sales office is great, the workmanship was a bit sloppy but they corrected upon requests. Loving our new home!

KB Home is a good builder. Easy to work with and stands behind their product. I am a repeat home buyer and was always satisfied with their service.

Good sales process & hard working engineers, but unfortunately the finish quality did suffer! :( Just thankful they are fixing most of it...but certain issues should NOT have existed in the first place!

Great experience with all the people of KB home. very responsive and easy to contact. if only the quality of the finishes and details of the home were up to par with the people. There was a handful of damaged materials used in my unit which was fixed and replaced to the best of the staff's ability. But things like the patio door frame which has a hole at the botom right that was patched up with caulk, or the master bathroom shower drain which was also roughly finished with caulking instead of a neat metal ring fails to meet the quality expected for the price I paid for the unit. Everything is perfect except the workmanship of the whole house (Like outlets, switches and paint) is a bit rough

While there were some issues, that needed major attention I would like to take a moment to highlight two people that in our opinion, went above and beyond to not only ensure that the many situations was addressed but personally ensured that we were informed every step of the way. First I would like to highlight Raul Garcia, Raul was not only personally involved in every aspect of the home buying experience, even once the home was handed over Raul, would stop to visit, call , text and answers all questions that we might have. Raul not just listened to our concerns he heard what we were saying and took the necessary steps to remedy the issue as best he would. He connected us with the right people and stayed engaged the entire process. The second person I would like to is Robert (Bob) Dinsmore from the moment that Bob got involved with the issues revolving the broken and none functioning appliances, Bob did everything that he could to make sure that we were taken care of, like Raul, Bob would ask detail questions about the situation and understood that at times the situation caused by faulty appliances placed the entire household in danger of coming in contact with COVID-19. Good overall. A little slow in response. The standard is low, have to add more options and the option costs are higher than expected.

I think KB would do much better on the craftsmanship and the material without the pandemic.

The home buying process was great - I just wish there were more options like more solar panels. However, after moving in, I found numerous issues, especially with my windows. After 2 months, almost all my issues were fixed except for one that is difficult to resolve. The customer support was great - I just wish they didn't need to provide so much support. KB Home should've done a better job in the beginning.

Overall I'm satisfied. The big problem was that It took very long time to finished the house, so I couldn't do my 1031 exchange.

We are pleased to move in to our new home in Elderberry, Portola Springs Irvine. We thank KB Home customer service of their responsiveness to our request of any touch up works that are needed once we move in. They know our concerns and schedule appointments quickly and have people come over to do touch up works. Thank you for the attention and courtesy that KB Home customer service has shown to us.

good builder but could have used a thicker carpet. I got the free option, carpet feels really thin. It looks good but some areas you can feel the staples or screws, especially on the corners.

I would have expected the builder to give option to buyers to do some upgrades after building the house being they are the builder.

Overall, we love the property. However, due to delayed timelines, it seems that construction process was rushed. The interior of the property did not go through a deep inspection before releasing it to us. We have several issues that should have been caught through internal inspection prior to releasing the home. The construction team particularly Danny has been extremely helpful. In addition, third-party company working with KB to resolve issue particularly Richard is very helpful. Sales experience needs to improve. They should over communicate and keep in close contact with the customers throughout the home buying journey. This way customers have an overall improved experience of buying future homes. ... More
