Process was good. Diana was amazing. Once constriction started, it was ok. Learned that they will be fast and sloppy. We went every week to experience the "new built" saw issues even tho we are not builders. Told them so our closing date was not effective. The issue was accent lights. They missed that and many small things. If they want to earn credit for the amount they toon to build, still not impressed. The quality was disappointing. Now I have to sit here and get with people to come correct the job at my concinicence having to cancel my appointments to accommodate them. Live my home but won't ever buy from KB ... More

Great experience buying a home

We had the best experience in this process. Building your home from the ground up can be stressful but not with KB homes. They invest in you and guide you the whole way through. We now have our perfect dream home.

Overall, a very seamless home buying experience with KB. The mortgage process was by far the smoothest I have ever experienced. Weekly updates related to home build were nice personal touches. KB "upgrades" I personally wouldn't consider upgrades and recommend buyers to go with only the basics as it's cheaper to replace door handles, faucets, etc. than to mortgage it for 30 years. The cabinet company used by KB is average at best. Our cabinets slope 1/2 inch from left to right, which you cannot see or notice, but discovered when adding backsplash. Cabinets have splits or open seams. KB is super at responding to claims. I've made 6 or 7 minor claims in the first 30 days and KB has accepted all claims. KB offers free paint touch ups 30 days after move-in. Overall, good to above average home. No serious complaints. Will sell in about 36 months and move to TN. ... More

The quality is really really bad!!!!!!!!!

Overall our new home experience has been great! We are first time home buyers so for us we were always weary about the home buying process from my sister-in-law's bad experience with her home and from the experience we have heard from other home buyers, so we weren't sure what to expect. It seems like you can always find a negative review but never a good one, however KB has changed our mind to the negative responses. From the very beginning Pam from the sales office made sure we were comfortable asking questions, very knowledgeable and she was always quick with her responses since we wanted to make sure we had everything on time so we didn't delay our buying process. Hope from KB home loans was great to work with and kept us up to date on what was going on since our new home was plagued with delay after delay but with every new build this was expected and she made sure we were taken care of. With all of this said and done I have been extremely impressed by the construction manager Robert. He was always accommodating when I had to reschedule our home walk throughs and he was definitely hands on when it came to the home building process. He was always timely and kept giving us updates on the progress of the home while it was being built. This was great for us since there were times where we wondered what was going on. If there was anything that needed to be fixed before we moved in he made sure it was completed and he definitely cares about customers since they are spending a large amount of money on a new home. ... KBHome's team is responsive to all issues we brought them.

This is my third new home purchase and without a doubt the worst experience! From communication, false information, poor quality and workmanship to extra expenses due to extensions on completion dates. We have been in the house now for a month and a half and are still waiting on fix it issues to be completed! We have been very disappointed with our KB experience. It's such a shame to purchase a brand new home and have so many issues due to no quality control. I shouldn't have to come into a new home and have to examine literally every little detail to make sure it's done right and acceptable! KB has a wonderful staff all around who tend to every question and have great responses to any issues that may arise with quick return. Amazing homes and process overall.

Sales and Superintendent were communicative and genuinely cared about our experience. Closing felt rushed but we wanted to get in the house as well. Would recommend.

They respond right away and are very helpful when help is needed.

Do your research before buying a new built from KB Homes. The quality of materials used to build these homes is cheap. So many issues with our new built, what a disappointment.
