Too short time to consider buying this house!

We love our home, especially the upgrades we made! We had two issues, one was with the finance side and not being as upfront as we would hope (apparently that person has been let go since then), second was that we had to wait two weeks past our final inspection to move into the home due to Edison not installing our meter on time. Other than those issues our overall experience with KB was great!

I was informed and guided every step through the process. Everyone was very patient with me if I didn’t understand something and would explain it until I got it. The superintendents and KB representatives were great. They were always available for my questions and if not, they would always get right back me in a timely manner. On one occasion, something small needed to be repaired. The Superintendent actually came over and repaired it himself! I’m very impressed and pleased with my choice of purchasing a KBHome.

We had a great experience with Tonja. The home designer could have been more accurate with the details. Cabinet lighting was missed. Also the over hang light over the island was issued. The overall experience was good.

Good sales agent, but HOA or solar system contacts are poor to we have to keep asking who what and how

The staff at KB is first rate. They have been helpful and very responsive to any needs we have had. The floor plan was perfect for our needs.

I love my new home. However, it seems that in an effort to complete construction by deadlines (if there are any), corners were cut. There wasn't much attention to detail. Specifically, there were, and still are, MANY carpet staples/tacks sticking out resulting in numerous minor injuries. One light fixture was missing. A few spring door stops were also missing. There were small paint spots on the flooring. Irrigation in the front yard leaked. Most of these issues were remedied after notifying customer service. There may be other issues that are yet to be discovered (hopefully not). All in all, nice. I'm just worried about how the recent heat wave will affect the workers and in turn the quality of construction on current builds. ... More

I email a few fixes around the house and heard back from the the next working day. Someone came out to fix the items needing to be fixed. One of them had to have an electrician come out and it was all taken care of pretty quick. I'd like to thank them for their quick response.

Disappointed how they left concrete in my backyard even though I asked to make sure they didn’t after they poured my patio before escrow closed and they’ve never cleaned it up. Home overall seems okay

Starting from the beginning of the process, everyone has been great, kept us up to date on each phase of the home buying and building process. we were allowed to come visit the site and building of our home as often as we wanted too. the home was built right and I thank all involved.

Be prepared on new communities and delays on mailboxes, internet cable phone

Nice neighborhood and good sized lots

Very friendly service. We closed by our projected date with mostly everything fixed as requested by that date. Customer service was great.

The sales team was the best part of buying my KB home. Thanks to LaVon! Always kept us updated with the build. From start to finish.

VERY NICE TO WORK WITH

Generally a positive experience. They will try to get you to bundle your mortgage and insurance with their in-house products/services but you can go with your own. Extremely hard to get any customized features on newer technologies, such as internet and solar systems. Such as structured wiring (ethernet, cable, etc) cabinet HAD to be in the master bedroom closet, and no option to go with larger solar system. However, ironically, super easy to customize "old tech" such as paint, fixtures and appliances. I got a good value for a good home, but I think if there's ever a next time, I'd go with a home builder who's much smaller and hence, responsive to what I am wanting in my home. ... More

The KB team has been great to work with. The part that hasn’t been the best experience is the quality of craftsmanship that went into the building and finishing of the home but I guess that’s part of the difficulty of todays straining times of workers and who’s available to work. The KB team has been great at trying to make up for the issues that have occurred and that’s awesome!
