Overall great company to work with. They do need to work on there communication and timing . You can tell they rushed to get the job done

Home should have been inspected for issues prior to my walk thru. There was a obvious electrical issue with the fireplace ( live wires laying inside the fireplace) that was a safety hazard. Was not fixed until we were in the home for 3 weeks.

the foam outside is terrible and the plants were not very well taken care of, but overall the house is fantastic.

If your picky about a few things let it be known before the construction begins. That way it’s done to your standards.

Great price but some of their material aren’t the best with their comercial home building over all I’m happy

We have had an issue with mail box. It was mislabeled and have gone back and forth between post office and sales office with blame being put on the other. The problem is still not resolved and I haven’t gotten any mail since I moved in 6 weeks ago.

They paint over the cracks on tub to cover up.

Pretty much a basic home buying experience. Home designs are good, but the design center has limited choices. Main problem was with KB's lender if choice. They were VERY pushy and cockt, assuming that we would use them and not shop around. They requested unnecessary information for pre-qualification, and were unwilling to provide a secure channel for sending information - the initial loan officer suggested we send confidential financial information to her personal email account. Highly unprofessional. Many other lenders out there with MUCH better customer service.

We enjoy our home; it is comfortable and suits our needs.

The hoa is a mess. The fee mentioned when buying the house is completely different from the hoa fee that needs to be paid now. It has been processed for two weeks, and there is still no result. Some workers such as the hoa property manager are playing football to shirk responsibility! If you buy a house again, you probably won’t choose KB！

It looks like they rushed, when building (Trades). Overall nice home location. Great staff. From sales to on site workers.

Quality of home could & should be better for price paid.

my overall experience was good. the team from sales to the the building team always very responsive. The time fame for the entire build was delayed and closing and completion was delayed. Any problems were addressed by Sara and Robert quickly. I surmise some delays were due to Covid. The quality of the building material was builder grade and all upgrades are out of pocket. Kitchen design and panty layout can be improved. Wall installation does not provide noise reduction throughout the home, Lot sizes and spaces of the homes are great. Overall this was a very easy experience.

Because of labor and material shortages, the build deadline was extended; however, once the labor/materials were available there seemed to be a hastiness in getting the home built within KB's timeframe. After the move-in date, several issues were found within the home that had to be addressed. This created inconveniences for the homeowner (me). Although the road to purchase was smooth and the customer support was exemplary it was after the move-in where things are still getting done. Our community still has "substitute" garage doors whereas the new homes under construction already have the garage doors that are part of the home purchase. Perhaps KB should make sure everything in the home build is how it should be and making meeting their build deadline should not be the priority. ... More

KB Home has a great reputation name but at the Mockingbird home the sales staff, and Office staff, we had a horrible experience. I would never buy another home from KB.

I got my keys to my house on October 22, 2021. My escrow was delayed for two months because KB could not finish building my home on time. I had to get two extensions from my lenders. Once I got my keys two months later, I started doing improvements to my house. I found out that there was a lot of things that was wronged with my new home. For example: 1) I got shocked from the electricity up in the attic because the light switch was not inside of the electricity box. 2) the tiles on my roof was broken and not correctly aligned with the house. 3) the fire sprinklers wasn't correctly secure, the fire sprinklers' caps was lose and falling off the ceiling. 4) My rain gutter keeps leaking from the joints. 5) Master bedroom shower wasn't caulk properly, lots of missing caulk. 6) cabinets trim was coming off because it was loose. 7) my ceiling drywall has cracked in it. 8) light fixtures on my garage wasn't level or center. 9) electricity outlet in one of my room doesn't work. 10) My master bedroom bathroom had a hairline crack. 11) my windows sill paint was coming off. That's some of the problems I'm having Kb builder. However; Brian (area construction manager) did come out to my house to discuss and address all my problems and concerns. Home shopping is a long process, but once you find a place and are committed to a home, and then watch it be build up from the ground up, it’s an amazing feeling knowing you and yours will have a place call HOME, but issues do arise when you move in into a new home, you start to notice appliances are not what you expected, minor paint issues, I now somethings got over looked but once you create a list and got a hold of those in charge of making corrections, that’s the part I dislike…it’s been 2 months and some of my concerns HAVE NOT been met…

The design studio sessions were of great importance and help.

You have to expect delays, along the way. Kb does not rush or cut corners, they make sure every step is done correctly and by the book.

Couldve done better in building most especially being a big company.
