Administration is not so great

The construction workers are very responsive and helpful. My issue is with the administrative offices. Often times confusion, especially with the HOA. I've been here 2 months with no access to the pool area. Finally received the key entry fobs after about 6 weeks and come to find out the DO NOT WORK AT ALL. Contacted Prime HOA offices and haven't heard back with an answer to my question nor a solution to the problem. Just send me new fobs, please!

KB failed in my view in handling customer service in view of the pandemic and builder problems that ensued and affected the buyers. Employees in the field were left to handle questions/problems without support from management.

I was really excited with the completion of my home but upon moving in, I feel the house was cheaply built. You can hear water going through the pipes when the bathroom and toilet is used. Some of the phone and cable wiring wasn't completed they just left it out. I have only one phone and internet port which was in the bedroom kind of ridiculous. The design studio should do a better job explaining upgrades. I would have loved to have higher ceilings and a bigger entry way rather than the standard to make moving furniture and appliances easier. Also main office team do not want to engage you ...

The red no parking zones in the streets were not disclosed to us. Nor was the parking on only one side of the street. Didn't know we were getting a small kid size toilet for one of the restrooms. My heater was not working on move in. After move in there is way too much construction going on and I'm in the middle of all that noise.

We gave you an excellent review when we first moved in, but since then we have had a bad experience with Sunpower. We had solar in our previous home and wanted to use our previous contractor, but KB required us to use Sunpower. We closed escrow on Dec. 2, 2020, and we still do not have solar activation as of Feb.17, 2021. Sunpower can give us no good reason for the delay. They said the City had the wrong address on the permit. (sounds like an excuse from Sunpower) When we called Sunpower, we talked to someone in the Philippines and then someone in Texas. Sarah in the sales office was amazing. Roger superintentent of construction was awesome as well. Lots of flaws in the KB designs ithat they didnt care to fix for me. Received crappy counter top design that they didnt care to make right. Will have to fix myself.

New construction house still can find several things need to be reworked/ repaired. Ex. ceiling LED lights falling, missing cabinet shelf, drill holes, uneven wall, leaking sprinkler, and crack driveway due to the Community concrete work.

I dont feel like they genuinely care about their costumers. They will ignore most of your concerns during the construction. You will not be compensated for the money and time lost because of their faults. They only care how much profit they can make without using high quality workmanship.

Do your research before buying a new built from KB Homes. The quality of materials used to build these homes is cheap. So many issues with our new built, what a disappointment.

The quality of the build and finishing work on the home was well below the standards I would expect especially for a half a million dollar house. Multiple issues with the home, some that have taken multiple attempts to fix, and many more smaller issues that at this point I’m just tired of submitting claims. A hinge on the cabinet door in the laundry room keeps coming off, a lot of the door handle throughout the home were placed inside out, the medicine cabinet is crooked and doesn’t stay closed. We had great experiences with the sellers in this KB Home neighborhood. They explained things well and were attentive to what we were looking for in a home. They were patient with us as first-time home buyers and they celebrated with us when we were able to pick up our keys. When we did our walk-through, the contractor was very thorough in explaining how things worked, who to call when, and the best practices for the plumbing and electrical. Been here a little over a month and have had a bunch of issues with the house from electrical to plumbing to paint. Thought I was buying a quality home from a quality builder. Sense of urgency is just not where it should be to get issues resolved. Not too happy.

Superintendent is just talked and no action. He just talked nice and ask us to give good review. He gave us temporary garage door and the one we suppose to get need to be wait for 14-16months. We are paying mortgage and we don't get what we pay for.
