Construction team lead by the superintendent was awesome I would give them 10/10. Sales team I would not recommend. One of the workers were not knowledgeable on the models and seemed to just say what we wanted to hear. The Mortgage lending process could have been a lot more efficient. One of the staff would never answer her phone and seemed to be unorganized.

We bought another new home and their customer service wasnt nearly as good as KB but their home was built better. wasnt all upgrades. Disappointed in landscape although i know some of it is controlled by the area and water shortage but more trees and color would be nice especially with a corner lot and premium lot

We have lived in our new KB home for 2 months. We have noticed and continue to notice things that weren’t done correctly or were/are damaged during the construction process. What we do appreciate is the responsiveness of Jodi over at KB. He makes sure that whatever issues arise get resolve in a timely manner.

Recently purchased home. The low voltage thermostat controls for the HVAC were mis-wired. As a result the upstairs zone controller worked the baffle for the downstairs and the downstairs zone controller worked the upstairs. Easy enough mistake for an installer to make, but 100% should have been caught immediately when the installer tested to make sure both units were working correctly, which clearly was not done. Lots of scratches and had patched on most cabinets. Tile floor has a lot of inconsistency of grout and chips on tiles ( poor workmanship). Customer services after close is great.

There were small details what needed to be improved, I’ve seen homes being built around my home and most seem to have the same issue, back yard it’s all uneven and hard to work on, quality in the materials could be improved too.

The quality of our new KB Home this go around was mediocre. Our final walk through was a mess and I have called KB several times to fix minor issues inside the home such as holes in the concrete foundation, bad wall patching jobs, and the door trim was not up to par either. Our first KB home we bought 7 years ago was superb but unfortunately this time around it felt like the construction was rushed and messy.

Its not so bad experience with KB. The sales, mortgage teams could be better with communication and providing more options on home loans. The design center experience is good. Most of the options we choose are basic and which can be included with the home by default thereby adding more value to the purchase

The home buying experience

The experience that I have had has been in the middle of decent and terrible. Being that I have a construction background I know what to look for. I have had to go back and forth with to fix issues that KB deemed as there standers. Apparently rocks under the carpet is normal. Then KB has tried to sell me on the fact that they can just fix everything damaged without a replacement. All KB is doing is getting themselves through the warranty process of a year and moving on and leaving people with the issues. They have also tried to sell me on things like my house fan that wasn’t even working ...

Overall KB has a great process of getting you to commit to buying a home. The sales team in our case Lizette was wonderful to work with, she routinely provided meaningful updates and progress reports for the home. Most importantly, you could tell that she enjoyed being the point of contact for the project. Design Center - Jennifer did a great job of listening and providing solutions for what could be done given the timing of the project. The construction workers are very responsive and helpful. My issue is with the administrative offices. Often times confusion, especially with the HOA. I've been here 2 months with no access to the pool area. Finally received the key entry fobs after about 6 weeks and come to find out the DO NOT WORK AT ALL. Contacted Prime HOA offices and haven't heard back with an answer to my question nor a solution to the problem. Just send me new fobs, please!

KB failed in my view in handling customer service in view of the pandemic and builder problems that ensued and affected the buyers. Employees in the field were left to handle questions/problems without support from management.

I was really excited with the completion of my home but upon moving in, I feel the house was cheaply built. You can hear water going through the pipes when the bathroom and toilet is used. Some of the phone and cable wiring wasn't completed they just left it out. I have only one phone and internet port which was in the bedroom kind of ridiculous. The design studio should do a better job explaining upgrades.
