After nightmare stories of new builds from my friends, I was very nervous... but KB homes finished our home EARLY and has responded to all of the minor home repairs or any questions we have quickly and professionally. We don't have to fight or beg to get things done- once they showed up within 30 minutes of me texting!

Overall experience was very great.

I was very disappointed with the build quality and with Brian the superintendent who was unprofessional and intentionally delayed and messed up the build, I am very surprised that the Sales team (Tim) who knew of the price reduction forced me to sign the contract for the unfinished, very poor quality deliverable 2 days before the price reduction.

Very poor customer service, no flexibility. Would no refer anyone to KB homes, they cut corners everywhere they can.

Apart from the date delay, It has been a good experience for us all the staff has been good and helpful .I love our kbhomes!

Really need to make homeowner more involved in process

We were able to watch the progress of our home being built from dirt to to move in! We felt welcome to visit on Sundays (so as not to get in the way of the workers). We were emailed progress reports with pictures and updates about the next work to be done. We have been in our home now for two and a half months and have had minimal issues. But, when we have come across any problem, it was corrected very quickly. Highly recommended!

I had some follow up items after the initial hand over which is typical with a new home build. Doug, the construction supervisor and Martin Coday have been superb. They have been very receptive and have taken care of all of the outstanding items. I really appreciate them going above and beyond.

KB homes sales staff and customer service were very helpful in getting the home we wanted.

Overall, my home buying experience was good (said with mixed feelings). I think having been in my house for a bit, I was able to think about things, the process, what I was happy and unhappy with, etc. As of this writing, interest rates are almost 6% and I was able to get a pre-spec'd home before rates got out of control. I think I left this experience feeling, only okay. Here is why: Sales was great. KBHS (in-house lender) was great. But buying such an expensive home, I was thinking I would be able to modify somethings to give it a more personalized touch. Nope - things were really set in stone. I was given some closing costs credits (so long as I went with KBHS) and there was a lot discount. I jokingly asked for more as rates were on the rise and I couldn't lock for 30 or 60 days out but I was made to feel ungrateful that I got what I got cause no one else got extra incentive (it was only $5k more). The crazy thing is anyone buying a home now as of late June - you hear people getting $15-40K or builders buying down rates for buyers since no one is buying homes now. I actually had to use my credits to buy down the rate. So while people are getting bought down rates ( by Lennar, TriPoint, Seeno, etc - I don't know what or IF KB is offering anything since they don't advertise it). Albeit, while I should in theory have a lower rate than what is offered now, I think its a minimal difference and buyers today can get a home spec'd to their liking. So I question if I should of waited? cause I don't LOVE my home as you should. I like it, I am appreciative to own a home. But I'm having to spend MORE money now to fix things I don't like about it doesn't feel right. Quality of workmanship, Value for price paid: having bought a pre-spec'd home, I was essentially paying for what someone at the design center chose, and I so wish I could redo what they did because the style is just not modern at all (Think Grandma's house). Quality? I've had a few contractors come by for bids to fix things and builders like KB contract a lot of these jobs so people come in, do a job, next home. Guest bath - was called out that they should of caulked the shower. A exterior house painter said my down drain pipe was twisted and took me to similar homes saying theirs was fine. My AC unit is crooked and missing brackets for the cable. The list goes on but it doesn't make me feel great knowing my house wasn't to par. Responsiveness to issues. So far, its been good. Whenever I catch something, the warranty guy will get something on the books for something to be fixed. So now I just feel bad to call them up to fix things the contractors have called out. But they have been great to deal with. Basically, value for price paid...I feel like my home should of been less. Also, random side discovery, I always assumed all homes had 8 feet ceilings on 2nd floors (my parents home of the 80's did)...BUT with colleagues buying now, Lennar, Senno, TriPoint-Point, etc offer 9' ceilings both up and downstairs (And lets be honest, some offer smart door bells, Wifi mesh systems, Better more modern looking cabinets in colors) for around the same price of what I paid. I wish I had taken more time to look to be honest. The Value isn't there as I reflect. I know its trivial to some but 9' ceilings feel more grand (I am also a tall individual). Overall, I feel very mixed about this home buying experience. Should I have waited? Builders are giving you more NOW with higher rates BUT are also offering lower rate incentives they must be paying for. Honestly, do your due diligence and really look for a home you love. Buying a home, it's an emotional experience. It's an expensive one. Make sure you LOVE your home. Emotions and rising rates got the best of me. Was service great with KB? Yea. no one has a crystal ball on how rates would be or what builders would be scrambling to do now to keep buyers from pulling out of contract. Read reviews, watch review videos. Buying your first home can be a stressful process but grateful to have the team at KB Homes guide us through it. Eric and Veronica were both always there to help and super responsive. We never felt like we were alone or confused during the process.

Craftsmanship is horrible. Cheaply build house for a lot of money

While we are overall happy with our home we are tired of hearing ‘that’s an issue with trades’, sorry the manufacturer is not helping you with that. 3 months into our home and the wrong size blinds, the broken cabinet and the dishwasher that will not dry remain a problem that the builder can’t/won’t fix. The builder hired the blinds company, the cabinet company and selected the manufacture of the dishwasher. Time for the builder to take responsibility for getting things fixed.

Everybody in K homes are very kind, accomodating and helpful for us as nee home buyer.

Everybody was very friendly and professional.

Home is delivered in time and Sales team co-ordinated very well through out the process. Kudos to the team. Move in was smooth and the same quality of service continue through customer service team. Thank you for the team for prompt responses and timely fixing things.

Since we moved in we had issues that needed attention but it is such a reassuring experience to know that Customer Service was always there quick to respond to our concerns then always does a follow up. Customer Service has gone above and beyond our expectations!

So happy to have moved in! Martin has been so helpful and we are grateful for all the coordinating he’s done to help us fix our house to be in tip top shape. Any errors or malfunctions we find, he is there to help us find a solution! Thank you!

good job, they do what they promised

The staff at KB Homes has been kind, knowledgeable and extremely helpful throughout our entire home building process. We loved having the opportunity to create and customize our home's interior at the KB Home Design Studio. And it was easy, seamless and comfortable to work with and obtain our home loan through KB Homes. In addition, the Construction Staff has been amazing at building and delivering us a home that we could fall in love with. Thank you KB Homes for our beautiful new home!

Walk in inspection and warranty representative were great.
