Very Good

We moved into our new home about 2 months ago. The overall experience with KB has been pleasant. Their staff has been amazing getting all the little odds and ends fixed and wrapped up. With that being said I feel there was a handful of things that were missed that could have been corrected before we moved in. Little odds and ends of holes being left in walls where a railing was moved, a few cracked roof tiles, bathroom fan not even being wired up, and issues with windows not closing and opening right. I also feel as if some of the sub contractors cut some corners to save some money, for example no weed barrier under landscaping. It's hard having to deal with the constant scheduling to have sub contractors out fixing small things that could have been caught before it got to us, but the customer service reps go so far above and beyond to make sure every little detail is corrected in a timely manor. If something comes up they are only a phone call away and get the ball rolling as soon as they hang up the phone. They have never once made me feel like my requests were absurd or unreasonable. ... Buying a home was a good experience overall. Although there was some confusion at the beginning—especially around the sale process—the team eventually handled things well. The loan department and customer service other departments were helpful, and they worked to clear up the issues. In the end, they made the overall experience pretty smooth and positive.

There were a number of issues with the home and most of them were addressed quickly.

After one year, KB finally handed over the house to me! The house is large and the backyard is moderate in size. The overall price of the house is 5% lower than the contract signed a year ago, reducing my financial burden. The new house is equipped with solar energy, which is very environmentally friendly, with various household equipment, and the overall price of the house is relatively high. The minus point is that the quality of the doors and windows is average, and a few switches are broken, which have been reported to KB and are waiting for repairs!

Home is delivered in time and Sales team co-ordinated very well through out the process. Kudos to the team. Move in was smooth and the same quality of service continue through customer service team. Thank you for the team for prompt responses and timely fixing things.

KB has excellent customer service

Our interactions with the sales office and construction superintendent has been great/off the charts. However, the quality of construction has left something to be desired.

Everything was great until I found a crack down the middle of my front por ch. I was concerned about the comet made after that that I should just wait cuz I'll get cracks all over the place as the house settles. Before that everything have been wonderful. now I'm concerned about the cracks in the drywall and everything else that's going to happen.

Stay in contact with your the manager at all stages of the building.

Could have used better quality fixtures. Also there is lots of overspray on the flooring. It very good at details.

The loan experience was somewhat rough. I felt like I could not get straight answer from the KB Home loan department. My date kept being pushed out which was a pain. The customer service from the sales, design customer care was fantastic and Chad still keeps in touch.

Overall it was a okay buying process. The beginning with the sales rep, was very hectic, and unprofessional. After the home was purchased Scott has been great with reaching out to me and making sure everything is good in the home. The only negative part was during the actual buying process. Everything else is great.

The initial shock of what the home doesnt come with was difficult to accept after visiting the design center. By that time they have your deposit, so theres no going back of you dont want to give away money. The sales people at the actual neighborhood site are amazing and bend over backwards for you. That is for sure! But the KB Home finance was a true horror show. Every conversation, every interaction was like pulling teeth and nothing was conducted the way it usually is with a finance group. Oh the nightmare. What a bunch of newbs. The title office, on the other hand, was amazing! So what is NOT included with the house, (that we think should be without being charged extra) is: cabinets in the laundry room, nickel plumbing fixtures, nickel shower enclosure in master, luxury vinyl in the living room (instead of carpet), hardware on kitchen cabinets, elongated toilets, pendant lights at kitchen island, fans in living and master. I will say that we are super impressed with the home insulation. Its by far the best insulation we've had...and we've lived in a lot of homes. The person who was supposed to check in on us after 30 days from movein asked my husband how things were after 5 or 6 days. I havent met the guy and wish I had cuz we need him now...nowhere to be seen and its been almost 2 months. Wish i had his number. You cant check on people's houses when theyre not even unpacked or moved in yet. Not great customer service after the fact. ... More

Valerie and Norm were very helpful

The sales staff was great, but the KH financing could use a tune up. The home is in good shape overall but it definitely shows the rush to complete in the loss of quality in craftsmanship. The issue is obvious, built fast and too many for proper oversight on the work done. But no major issues, so that's a big plus. Response to warranty repairs is also good.

Apart from the date delay, It has been a good experience for us all the staff has been good and helpful .I love our kbhomes!

Excellent customer service however, noticed that workmanship and quality of materials are not really good.

Great experience working with KB!

Pleads for ratings of 10 for perfection is predominant but be careful AFTER their surveys. Verbal promises are forgotten and you end up looking dumb for making requests based on non written commitments. A definite shift of attitude begins. I'm hoping I'm wrong. And your follow up appts are always during your working hours-which means lost wages each time you have issues. Make sure to test flush toilets for longtime running water.

Not the best quality materials overall. A few dings and marks already after only 1 month.

Home buying process was easy and went smooth. With that said, KB Home Loans are not even competitive with their rates. We were given a $15k closing cost credit to assist with buying down the rate and the entire $15k had to be used to get anywhere near other loan companies with no buy down. Materials on the house were also decent but it seems as if the house was made in a rush. Attention to detail was not given on a good amount of items in the house. During the first 30 days we had an individual in the community to assist with anything that was wrong before we had to use the actual warranty process and that individual was over almost everyday to fix small things in the house. ...
