Still do not have mail box key after over 2 months living in the house. Late for closing day after paying for weeks All mails including bills kept at U S P O all this time, had to pay late fees Flooring upstairs and down stair were not installed properly had to strip out and reinstall after almost a month moving in, toilet clogged when first move in. Ants were all over the house. However, Robert who is KB customer care representative helped solved most problems after closing

I did not expect a big name like KB Home to contract workers who were very careless and sloppy with their performance. The caulking and painting job was horrible; we had several missed spots, water-based paint instead of glossy paint was used to disguise missed spots on doors and door frame. Several cracks observed inside and outside the home, and bulging lines observed on the ceiling. The side gate was missing a pole/stud, which left the side yard exposed to the outside. Also, the newly installed HVAC system was retaining condensation in the attic. Another annoying design/workmanship issue ...

The communication needs to be better. There will be contractors knocking at your door, they'll be scheduled with the builder, but not the homeowner. Things were forgotten on the build, the manpower and materials aren't there to accommodate issues that pop up.

While we are overall happy with our home we are tired of hearing ‘that’s an issue with trades’, sorry the manufacturer is not helping you with that. 3 months into our home and the wrong size blinds, the broken cabinet and the dishwasher that will not dry remain a problem that the builder can’t/won’t fix. The builder hired the blinds company, the cabinet company and selected the manufacture of the dishwasher. Time for the builder to take responsibility for getting things fixed.

The builder was great. The sub contractors work was rushed and not well done. Had to have workers come back multiple times to fix things that should have never been an issue. We are still waiting on things to be fixed after almost two months. We were told items would be fixed before we moved it and they were not. Now that contractors are busier it’s taking 2-3 weeks to get anyone to come back and do repairs. Even the guys sent for repairs aren’t completing the job. Materials like the upgraded paint and the standard countertops are poor quality

I would rate this whole process 3 star, during the process of gathering paperwork was difficult due to a lot of miscommunication and some area during the process can improve. But overall I’m satisfied with my home, I do want to say that sale person and responsive to issues team is awesome.

The sales person was very helpful. I was disappointed with the fencing. The ground was not level so the fencing between neighbors is not even. They made the fence gates between neighbors higher then the other. The heights of the fences between the houses is high and low. Like the ground is uneven. There are gaps below the fence. I can’t even let the dog out for fear he will slip under the gate and get out. And the space on one side of the house is average and the other side is very narrow. The KB homes at Ventana on Lincoln CA, are nice. We where one of tge first families to move in, and everyone we've met have been nice. The office staff, and the kb homes construction supervisors have been great as well, even through this covid 19 challenged time. Now the excitement of taking possession of the home, and finalizing mounds of paper work, and contracts, time for the details. If you buy a home, take your time, inspect every inch, dont be rushed, bring a trained eye. The house is adequate. It is a cookie cutter house in a development. All the houses look the same and feel the same. I am satisfied that they did the job expected of them. Employees of KB are competent. Since I've never dealt with another new home builder, I don't know if the are better or worse than other.

Overall, my home buying experience was good (said with mixed feelings). I think having been in my house for a bit, I was able to think about things, the process, what I was happy and unhappy with, etc. As of this writing, interest rates are almost 6% and I was able to get a pre-spec'd home before rates got out of control. I think I left this experience feeling, only okay. Here is why: Sales was great. KBHS (in-house lender) was great. customer service manager Rob is an excellent manager giving him 10 stars really concern with buyers and constructor supervisor Steven is the same thing 10 stars rate but the materials are cheap a lot of things to fix for a brand new house

Quality of the homes isn’t the best and checks are not properly completed prior to submitting the homes to the buyers. When issues arise, you won’t get a response. Emergency hotline is terrible as well.

GIF in laundry room pop whenever you do laundry. Lawn sprinklers don’t work and my lawn looks dead. Large hole on side of house that we were told would be fixed but still hasn’t. Worker came to fix garage door opener and proceeded to hit the exterior of our house with a ladder and put two holes in the stucco. We caught the worker trying to paint over the holes instead of fixing that stucco. There is no power to our doorbell. Furnace just stopped working tonight. Very frustrated and disappointed.
