Honest quality home. Wonderful experience.

Here's my experience, I never had a issue with the contractors. They were probably the shinning star of this company. Everything we talked to them about was done promptly and handled accordingly. We had issues come up with framing and they were promptly handled with the proper care I would expect from a company bidding for my business. The design studio gets a A+ also. I forget the name of the woman who helped us, but she was also a rockstar. She helped us explaining the cost differences and what to expect down the road. Now the face of the company was horrible and will make me never buy from this company again. Becky was rude at times, short and was never very sympathetic for issues that came up. Some of the issues: I had questions about the contract and she talked over me instead of discussing it with me, we had issues with our first Lender and had to start the whole process over again, Becky continued to hound my wife and I about our lender, eventually cc'ing us in a very rude and unprofessional email, which was sent to our lender. This letter was so rude my lender vowed that his company will never work with KB Homes again. At the very end of it Becky threatened us with our lender, saying that if our lender couldn't come up with a loan agreement that our contract would be voided out, unless we went with KB Homes lenders. When it came down to my family doing our final walkthrough, my wife and I had scheduled a trip to Texas for my work conference. We made it very well known in the beginning to middle of the project these dates were a no go for us to close due to that (my wife had paid 600ish for the conference and plus plane tickets, rental cars, hotel rooms etc.). Becky insisted that we need to be there on this date which was a few days before we were due back, couldn't even work with us about pushing it out a few days. After numerous days of arguing about it Becky, asked us to have our father-in-law who just had a heart attack (which Becky knew), who couldn't even drive and was not mentally capable at that moment (due to his health) to come to get the keys and do the final walkthrough. After a long time arguing, complete frustration, and Hopelessness that this would never get resolved we finally were able to get our date pushed out. I am beyond frustrated with the whole process besides the three (1 design studio, 2 contractors) people I spoke about above. As for the pricing, I have remodeled my home before and I have a good idea how much labor and materials cost. You guys would of raked me over the coals, with flooring if I had not done the flooring in my old home.. The up charge on the materials alone made me reconsider adding anything extra through you guys. It would of been nice to have a home ready to move into at the end of the process instead of having to do construction for the first two weeks of living there. I much rather have the thousands of dollars in my pocket that were the difference in the prices quoted by you guys instead of the actual cost. The home Is beautiful and was well made. That's why I gave the for stars.... everything else would of been a 1 due to becky, except for the people I mentioned above. ... More

Smooth process. Love our new kB home!

Not the best quality materials overall. A few dings and marks already after only 1 month.

We have been very happy with KB. Throughout the building process they were open to our questions and to our visits to the build site. Every member of the KB team with whom we came into contact was welcoming and happy to answer our questions. The house was finished on the day promised, and the problems we found were minor and taken care of quickly. They have continued to stay in contact with us to take care of our questions and concerns. We have found them easy to work with and eager to make sure we love our house!

The staff at kB homes go above and beyond to make sure all is well and happy.

We experienced the Camp Fire last November. After 10 months of moving 4 times and experiencing the loss of all we owned, we have finally moved into our new home. It is blessing for us and finding the opportunity to enter into this relationship with KB Home has been very good for us.

1st KB home. Outstanding quality and have not had any major issues to date. Been in the house 2 months and very pleased with the builder.

As a first time home buyer it can be very scary, as for myself and my wife it was! but our realtor told us about these new homes they were being built and we should consider taking a look. First of all these homes are beautiful, Affordable and Energy Efficient . From the very moment we walked into the sale office and spoke to their sale manager Bryon we were greeted with a warm welcome! this place is by far a place of EXCELLENCY starting with their sale manager! he was Very Professional and at the same time very pleasant,he kept us update throughout the process for the weeks our home was being built. He made sure that we knew what we needed to do, for each step and what to expect. he would Email us pictures, telling us what to expect following week to come each week with our home, making himself available for answering our question even on his day off! he is just Amazing! great guy!...Then there's Rocky the construction manager making sure every single detail we wanted to put inside our home was to our liking! he went over the plans he,walked us through,he explained everything about our home and how it works. This guy took care of our home as if he was building this home for himself and his family! and not to mention his team they were Excellent, they worked hard in providing us everything that came to mind to be put inside our home! that's hard to do! but Rocky and his team got it done for us!... Now we are in our BEAUTIFUL dream home and could not be more happier .THIS WAS JUST AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!! LOVE OUR NEW KB HOME!!!... ... More

Make sure Everything is fixed before signing your contract otherwise. They don’t care anymore. They are rude and not listening if you have a problem.

Whenever we had any issues it was addressed quickly. Due to our personal situation all of the staff were very kind and patience with alot of understanding.

Stay in contact with your the manager at all stages of the building.

This took about 8 months to build but it was well worth the wait time. We picked out a beautiful 1718 sq ft home located in a prime location of Elk Grove. It is probably the only home community in Elk Grove that is within walking distance to the light rail station. This home community is also conveniently next to highway 99 exit as well, without hearing the traffic. Tips for new home buyers, please make sure to select all your home upgrades and do a walk around home inspection after the home is completed. There were a few minor items that needed attention on my new home which was two cabinet panels replacement, top kitchen stove cover replacement, and the guest bathroom temperature adjustment knob. Upon discovering these items needing replacement I contacted Rob Reinold and he quickly addressed it and advised me he will have these items taken care of as soon as possible. His customer service and professionalism was on point and he always took the time to go over the entire home, give tips on standard housekeeping, and assured that things will get handle timely. John also was very determined to deliver to quality home on the timeframe that was promise and he delivered. Upon my walk through with John, he addressed all of the minor details of the home that needed attention as well. John took care of it the following week without any hassle. If there was a way to give more stars on this survey, I would give KB Home +5 more stars because they everyone that works there regardless of being in the office or construction field, they go the extra mile to make sure all of my request and add ons are done with great craftmanship and the little details are attended to. I will also be completing the main survey as well before the end of this month. KB Homes are more than excellent, they’re above and beyond and always aim for 110% in the work performed. ... More

The service and step by step of the home building experience was very enjoyable due to the professional behavior of the staff!

Customer Service was outstanding. Bryon truly cares about what the buyer wants. The process was very smooth and if there were any delays etc. he would let you know right away. The Design Studio was excellent in making sure what personal touches you wanted to add but keeping you within your budget. Rocky, Rob and their whole team go above and beyond to ensure the homeowner are satisfied.

The staffs are friendly and professional. They will listen and answer my inquiries. They are very helpful on selecting items on upgrading my house.

I did not like the tree in front of my house so I asked if they can change it for me and they automatically did it. They also checked the air conditioning when I thought there was something wrong with it.
