Process is slow on loan approval due to poor communication between builder , loan coordinator and appraiser. Appraiser was not communicating well

We had a lot of issues with the house when we moved in, our Central air and heat did not work, we had electrical problems, paint clean up, exterior of the house was missing paint, just to name a few. But Gary our warranty guy made sure that we were taken care of right away and had all of these issues fixed. But we did expect the workmanship to be way better, to many unfinished details for a new built house.

KB offers affordable model homes, with decent workmanship. I did not give it 5 stars, because there was no transparency upfront about the additional costs involved in building the home like the lot premiums, or what was involved in the basic model. Their mortgage company was also difficult to contact and get a hold of.

We had to wait an additional 5 months due to PG&E transformer. Then when the transformer showed up, no one was on site to direct PG&E on which home to install the electric meter. So the first 10 home that were completed ended up being one of the last home getting moved in due to meters were installed to homes that recently got built. But “Upper” management didn’t think it was necessary to provide any additional compensation because they didn’t want to show any “favoritism”. But yet, home buyer that only waiting 3-4 months got to moved in first in reverse order. Fully inspect your home ...

I’m still waiting to have my exhaust fixed. It’s more than a month. AC is not fully functioning in one of the rooms. I requested AC people to check it. Until now, KB person has not scheduled an appointment. So frustrating!

Recently i bought my first KB home, though i have multiple investment properties, the quality, and workmanship are of a way low standard. The wrong cabinets are installed and post-handover, I have been asked to reinstall the cabinets. There is no space to access master bathroom from one side. Overall a very terrible experience with KB Homes.

Bought a bunch of problems with KB house

Multiple issues with the KB house after we moved in. You have to file claims to fix these issues and it takes long time for the construction problems to be fixed. All appointments are scheduled during my work hours. Do I need to quit my job or hire a house sitter to be at home for all these after purchase repairs? It was the worst decision of my life to buy a new construction/KB home

I would recommend buyers to be aware of KB homes, they have put my families safety at risk knowingly but selling us base level carpet which has sharp tacks sticking out from it. I have had a number of issues with the new home, damaged cabinets, sliding door not closing properly, bad fence, door handles coming off, cracked windows and the list goes on. I have tried getting answers but they have not been keen or polite in response. We have had 1 walk through through out the build by a person who does not reply to any calls or questions.
