Quality of home is very good. Customer service since closing has been outstanding. Cleanliness of work site and new home at closing was an issue.

Attached home Arvada CO. Excellent-sales lead and crew, KB home loan personnel and weekly communication. Design studio-process to customize interior-was also excellent. Build quality is average. Value is harder to quantify given rapid price increases in neighborhood at time of purchase.

The overall experience was good. The sales team was great, the kb home design studio was great, the kb home mortgage team was excellent, closing went well. The only hiccups are with the finishing of the home. I would have expected it to be in a better shape when closing. We have numerous issues that will need to be resolved over the next few months, like creaking floors, furnace problems, toilets and hardware not well aligned, some aesthetics with paint and drywall. It appears like this is common with new builds but I just wished there was a higher attention to detail prior to closing. The overall process is really smooth and pretty easy to navigate. The staff is knowledgeable and responsive. We are pretty happy with our house and the construction quality but the finitions (paint, trims, baseboards, drywall alignment, etc.) didn't meet our expectations. Finally, the only thing we disliked in the process was the closing experience which felt rushed and pushy.

Responsive but nothing being fixed

Sign for our home on 20 August and after 5 appointments we still have not received the dishwasher washed that we paid for. Just not a priority they put in a temporary one and Whirlpool just gives excuses on why they don’t deliver one. This is really Unacceptable!

KB Homes build a new home within the expected timeline ( Took 45 more than initial set expectation ), we felt that there are not many upgrade options for a few of the items like Carpet and few other items, Overall its good experience

We loved our first home building experience. A few things could use improvement but overall a pleasant experience with KB.

Professional and responsive during the process

We are pleased with the overall experience as a whole. Some minor things right after move in, but were managed. The Warranty process needs improvement.

I got good responses about issues and KB came to fix them. KB is a trustworthiness builder and I like the model I bought very much. I bought a new house about 20 years ago and I feel the quality of workmanship is not as good as my previous house.

Sales team very responsive and customer centric

Be aware of progress and be diligent on inspections. Weekly calls are great, but they don't always have much substance. Most importantly, be patient. When given a tentative schedule, it is kept to the best of their ability, but some things will get missed or shortcuts will happen to meet the deadlines.

Drywall finish is Poor

Overall I am happy with my new home. However, the process took much longer than I had anticipated. This was probably due to a shortage of workers and difficulty obtaining materials. The 30 day warranty check did not happen. I am anticipating the 60 day check. There are just a few items that need to be fixed in my home.

Everything had been great other than the promise to have our front yard and wing fence put in. We have been told over and over that it will be done and still have nothing. It has been the only thing we have had trouble getting answers about.

Sales, design, closing and construction staff were all great to work with. In a pandemic year prohibiting in person contact, we had to make many design and construction decisions from afar. Not the best way to do things, but we got them done with the support of the KB Home staffers. Most all glitches and construction issues were corrected and solved under the direction of the construction supervisor.
