KB Home - Home buying experience was at best ok.

Home buying experience was at best ok. I would not recommend using their mortgage services, was a poor experience and had 4 different representatives through the process.

it's been over a MONTH almost two, that our garage door opener or electricity is not working in the garage. Ridiculous. My daughter's house - the kitchen sink fell down on mount. Leaked water everywhere.

When this community is done it will be awesome! You can take the light rail to downtown and you are near DIA. PARKS , restaurants, and community events is what makes this home.

Nice Home but KB not consistent with how they represent themselves online

Sales staff was very nice and listen to our issue and addressed what they could. Loan department seemed to put minimal effort into giving us loan options or providing information about the different loan options, get a realtor you trust to help you. Construction was on schedule but did not repair all the issue identified during home inspection walk and was difficult to work with to address those issue.

We were so excited to design and build our new home. The sales and design center teams were great. Everything after that went downhill. Our superintendent ignored every single communication I sent, items were installed or built incorrectly despite me regularly notifying the superintendent, and closing got delayed the morning of our final walkthrough, when I had flown back in the night before just for this process. So disappointed with KB. We still have broken, incorrect and missing items over two months from closing, with absolutely no communication from KB regarding when they will address ...

So many work orders pending within 2 months of moving in.

Within mere 2 months of moving in the new built home we have already faced so many issues in the working capacity of the house. Listing a few here - patio screen door came off, no electricity in the laundry room, kitchen cabinets are coming off, master bedroom door lock is installed opposite way , 2 bulbs are plunging out of the wall, and so on. We put in work orders and only 1 work order was done and rest all are remaining. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING. We bought 625,000 home for this,????? Need answers.

The start of the buying process was great, everyone was nice, friendly, and communicative, but once we moved into the house, people stopped communicating with us and now we have to deal with a jerk who is our rep named Brett. I requested a new rep and the response is that we can't have anyone else. That's great customer service, make us have to deal with a jerk who has no interest in actually helping us or answering emails. We had large mistakes happen in the house and had to have them all fixed once we moved in. If you plan on adding an AC unit with KB homes, you'll want to check it when ...

The process if purchasing the home was fine. Our loan officer Rossana was awesone she goes above and beyond. Before moving we pointed out a lot of repairs and cosmetic issues all over the home. We have been in the home for almost 2 months now and none of the issues have been corrected. Everytime we reach out they tell us that their priority is closing on the rest of the homes.

Good people, sloppy builders.

My wife and I have lived in our new KB build for nearly two months in Parker, CO as of October 2023. While we are enjoying our new home, we have been inundated with a multitude of issues in our home stemming from poor workmanship. Uneven floors, holes underneath carpet, leaking shower surround, improper installation of light fixture, crooked window frames, poor gas line installation given customer’s selected appliances, among other things. I know KB isn’t custom home builder, but there is no doubt that more should be expected from a company charging 500k and above in our area.

Construction manager informed us that ours was a “production home” not a “custom home” and that the flaws we pointed out could be fixed. We thought we were getting a “new” home, not a fixer-upper.

We had a wonderful sales experience and were pleased to be able to visit the house through the construction progress. However, once we moved in we found that there was something wrong in every room --cracked toilet tank, carpet that needs to be removed throughout the house due to "lumps" in every room, bending shelves in the pantry, and many more. The warranty team has been exceptional, but we wish they would have done it right the first time.

Our honest review to date

Quality of our home is maybe average. Failed mostly with cosmetic items - paint, inside and outside very poor, caulking, scratches and dents on appliances, but also electrical problems, insulation. Fixing these problems has been way below acceptable. Overall, we feel we did not receive the value for which we paid.

We have been in our house for about 3 months and have learned the speed with which they build translates into countless misses. And if you don't get them fixed before you close, good luck getting traction afterward. In 3 short months, we already have failing caulk (they don't fix caulk) an upgraded railing that has a large gap underneath (they won't fix it) and has had to be refinished once and still doesn't look good, subfloor glue all throughout my basement floor that they never removed, crooked drawers in the kitchen, numerous paint mismatches from the numerous "touch ups"that have ...

Not the best not the worst. As long as you don’t expect the truth about the timing of your home from anyone including VPs you should be fine. Process was seamless until final walkthrough when nothing was done right. Spent next 3 months with people in and out of the home because of their incompetence to get it right the first time. Just hoping the foundation is good

KB Home - Bad experience from the start.

  • AURORA, CO

Bad experience from the start. We were vastly misled from the beginning on when the house would be built. The sales team was difficult to get a hold of for any updates. There were things we were told during the sales pitch that turned out to be not true (i.e. the siding and roof was covered by the HOA, when groundbreaking and completion was... this was especially frustrating as we had an expiring lease and the house ended up being 3 months late). I will say once we got their leadership team involved, they did everything they could to resolve our issues. That is the only thing saving them from ...
