Do not close on your home until all problems are solved. You can let small problems go by, but please check your house carefully. It should take about 2 hours to do. KB will be awfully upset if your house is not ready to close. I closed without having a rear slider that wouldn't lock. It took 2 weeks to correct. My floor was in very poor shape; it took 6 weeks to have Serve Pro clean it. I'm still waiting for someone to clean the side of the house where painters cleaned their brushes and got paint on the house. Also waiting to have a stationary slider replaced due to a scratch. It's very difficult to get someone to answer your emails. I have one that's almost 2 weeks old that hasn't been answered. The company has forgotten that word of mouth is their best selling point! ... Everybody was great from the time of a walk through to closing. My realtor Donna is not only a realtor for KB Homes, but a great friend. Our Superintendent Stacy in the Somerset Community where we bought our home, was absolutely terrific. She made sure that all of our needs were met in moving into our home. Highly recommend this home, these people and this community.

We purchased a home in the Somerset community in Palm Coast through KB Home (contract signed mid-2025), expecting a straightforward build process with the promised December 2025/January 2026 closing timeline. Unfortunately, our experience has been one of the most frustrating we’ve had in homebuying. The issues started early with the sales agent (Paulette Alves), who dismissed a reasonable offer on a move-in-ready home without presenting it, later misrepresented a $7,500 incentive that didn’t apply after we signed, and provided repeated false updates on construction progress (e.g., claiming the lot was graded and a permit was pending when neither was true—verified directly with the Palm Coast Building Department). These misrepresentations created unnecessary delays and stress, especially as first-time expectant parents planning around a February 2026 due date. Communication deteriorated further: the agent made unprofessional comments about our realtor and reportedly negative remarks about us to others. After we formally requested a new agent (Donna R., who has been excellent and professional), a no-contact directive was issued—yet the original agent texted us the same day, violating KB Home’s own instructions. Construction quality concerns emerged as well. We discovered improper installation of the exterior water barrier (house wrap)—seams not taped correctly, material installed upside-down in places—which is a critical moisture-protection layer. This raised serious worries about long-term water intrusion risks if not corrected promptly. We escalated to leadership (including a call and follow-ups with a director of sales) requesting fair compensation (closing costs coverage to offset added expenses from delays and stress) along with timeline clarity and permanent removal of the problematic agent. While some progress occurred on the permit and a new agent assignment, we never received meaningful compensation or full accountability for the pattern of issues. Positives: • The new sales agent (Donna R.) has been consistently responsive, helpful, and professional. • Superintendent Stacy F has been great to work with—communicative, on top of the project, and genuinely focused on getting things done right. • The community location has appeal (near beaches, I-95, etc.), and the base home design is solid for the price point. Overall, KB Home in this community seems inconsistent—great when things go smoothly (especially with the right people like Donna and Stacy involved), but poor at handling problems, transparency, or customer goodwill when they don’t. The repeated misinformation, boundary violations, and quality shortcuts left us feeling undervalued and anxious during what should have been an exciting time. If you’re considering KB Home (especially Somerset), get everything in writing, verify updates independently, insist on proper inspections at key stages, and be prepared for potential delays/miscommunications. Stacy was the one who kept the ball running on the home being built. Donna was the one we dealt with when buying our home. Both ladies very professional and polite. they take pride in their jobs and both know their jobs very well.

Excellent …… good service

Paid for a premium lot on the preserve and we were told that fences were to be built a certain way. We were even shown examples of the few homes that did have them. A month later there were 3x more fences and not to the standard of what we were told by the agent. There are now 6ft and 4ft tall solid fences that ruin the aesthetic's of the preserve as well as block our view. Have complained to HOA and property managers but no one responds. Also very hard to get things fixed in a timely manner so you better be down here full time to get stuff fixed or you will be spending a lot of time away from your family. We have big things like the fence, two different color counter top colors, cracks in concrete, cracks in tile grout, window seal broken in kitchen and piece missing, air not coming out in front room and so much more. It was a great experience dealing with the whole team. From sales to financing to building. The team was a pleasure doing business with them.

I love my new house! Everyone starting with Donna in sales, Allison at Design Studio and Stacy overseeing all aspects of the quality of my home, have been wonderful.

Shay,Thaddeus and Jayson have all made our KB homebuyers experience extremely pleasant and special. They have all been consummate professionals. We would not be hesitant to recommend a KB home to any of our family or friends.

This is the second home we bought from KB Homes and this time the experience and workmanship were dramatically better than last time. Melissa and Richard where amazing when it came to accommodate our request and where always ready to come back to resolve issues and are still on top of it. We lived in Florida twice before over the years and made the big decision to move after viewing KB home with Donna at Somerset!! Everything ended up going so smooth and easy after all. We decided on the floorplan, the lot, upgrades at the design center all on our second visit. We are extremely satisfied on our decision, and couldn't be happier!!!!

I have enjoyed my purchase of KB homes . Any issues I have they have been addressed and fixed by the contractor Stacy. It’s a very fast growing neighhood and alot going on here. Stacy here everyday and seeing things are done and respect to us residents here.
