The process went very well, a few delays in closing because of supply and demand issues.

Post closure on our home we had a number of small items that needed repair, mostly because we rushed our closing and with COVID19 they did not have time and manpower to due a thorough punch list walk through. But once we brought it to their attention they worked hard to repair the minor damages and items and were a pleasure to work with.

KB Homes has been very quick to respond and help with any issues.

Ingrid and Vanessa were great, Also the design studio was a great experience, Everyone came through just great when we were scrambling at the last moment to complete the signing

You get what you pay for and even a bit more.

The price was very reasonable, and the sales agent and construction foreman were awesome to handle our needs, but the quality of workmanship needs to be better.

Ingrid is a amazing sakes consultant. She explained everything very well. Was there to answer my questions responds immediately. A real asset to your team!

We first signed a contract with KB Homes in June of 2022. Ingrid was great at walking us through the process when we signed and the project manager had promised a delivery before Thanksgiving. Ingrid was more conservative with an estimate of mid-December. We had the hurricane move through and expected delays. There was no significant impact in the development and work continued. Work fell behind and we only knew by tracking expected closing on the app. Ingrid was always good at trying to get information for us, but the project manager was not keeping any sort of schedule and not passing on information at all. They were six months past the closing date when we were finally ready for closing. The underwriters discovered a situation with the financing options two days before closing that had a significant impact on our financing options. They had the information for four months and only found it two days prior. There were a few problems with the final build, however the new project manager was very helpful in getting the build back on track in the last two months. He was very helpful during our walk through and even after we moved in. Ingrid and Tiffany were both great to work with and went above and beyond expectations during our last week getting things straight for closing. The whole process of purchasing this house was a 9 out of 10. Until we started recieving threats to close the house or encure financial penalties, even tho the house was not ready. KB Homes wanted the closing quater to look strong, so deemed it necessary to harrass us to close before the end of February. Prior to this encounter we were activitly talking about but the house next door to add to out portfolio. Due to this experience we will not be buying from KB Homes ever again.

The biggest dismay I had was in the time stated between closing date and when it actually occurred, which was about 4 1/2 months later than was stated to me. This of course lead to unforseen expenses both in storage and lodging for the unexpected amount of time which passed. Closing dates were moved 4 times before it actually happened. Hotel expenses are high. Also, better quality control upon completion of home is desired, i.e. cleaning up paint on floors where it bled over, making sure there are no cracks in light switch hardware, tighten bolts as needed to avoid repairwork within a short time after closing date. Also, window screens were missing and put in after move-in date by the home buyer, these kind of finishing touches were missing and desired by new homeowners ... More

Too many delays with construction and closing. Financer did not use all options available to purchaser.

1. I signed for a closing date of august 31st . I booked flifght and car ( I am a canadian resident ) at the last momemnt I heard that the AC has not been delivered so I cannot occupy the appartment. I paid around 900 $ for hotel during my stay . Ingrid tried to help me for reimbursment but I did not get any response. 2. There were some scratch for the painting, I asked the manager to fix this and did not get any response. 3. I was suppose to get a new AC remote control but nothing has been done. 4. My Car spot is used by contractors and is very dirty. 5. There is some issue with the painting , everytime we touch the wall a scratch appear. ... More

Ingrid was terrible, nothing she said or promised was correct. Communication between KB Homes upper management and the individuals listed CAN NOT be worse or those individuals are simply pacifiers to incompetence and cover-ups. Chris however appears to try but is always out of the loop. He should be up to speed on EVERYTHING!

We felt rushed to close, when the house was not even completed. Also the workmanship left a lot to be desired. We still have things that need to be fixed due to the shotty workmanship.

The communication with the head of construction was terrible

Expect delays, no accountability, and no communication from KB Homes departments. Initially, everything was great, but as we got closer to the closing date that changed for the worst. First, they told us we did not need flood insurance causing additional expenses to us the consumer. One week before the closing date all KB agents helping us went radio silent.The closing date came and we did not get notified in any way that it had been move due to the builder not having our home complete, it was until next week after the original closing date that we received word that it will take two more months to finish. Now it has been close to three months in the home and the warranty department will not respond to any of the emails I have sent them even after receiving a confirmation email from the stating that one of their representatives will contact me in 48 hours. My experience was miserable and they know it. They were not honest about closing dates and they put me through at least 10 closing dates. This caused me undo and uncalled for hardships on me and my dog. Moving from place to place counting on KB to make good on closing only to be denied again and again! I lost trust in them fairly early on. Funny, the only dates they held true to was the date I had to have my earnest money/check sent to them by which in good faith I did! And at that point my closing date was cancelled for one excuse after another. They are quick to blame weather, worker shortage, etc. I saw their issue as a lack of leadership from the front office to those on the ground I saw working. A clear lack of supervision from higher up. The sales guy, the lender and the onsite construction guy were the only ones I trusted. All others truly didn't care promising only in the end, only when they knew how hostile my review was going to be, told me "they'll make up for the inconvenience" I went through. When you cant convince a buyer with quality product and results, you bribe them. I didn't take the bait and have the moral courage to put out there what I'm writing here. Approach KB with extreme caution, I'm not the only one this has happened to. Do your due diligence. I'm day to day with my new place a certain upgrade from the townhome I had in IL, but I just pray that small things I've noticed in workmanship and so forth, while not earth shattering, aren't signs of what might come later.
