I must say that it was a thrill to have a home that I would be the first to live in it. The feeling to see it from a open field to a house was exciting. There are some things that certainly could have been better, from the communication of work stoppage to delays of supplies. Even though some materials wasn't the greatest but the applications could have made up for it. Quality of workmanship certainly brought up questions of integrity

KB offers very appealing layouts and upgrades. Without going crazy on upgrades, I selected just the right amount to really create a beautiful home that I love. There have been issues that I’ve run into with the building of the house. Everyone at KB seems very responsive with taking care of what needs to be done, but I do have to constantly check in for everything to get done. I wish that there was a more organized way for KB to take care of their home buyers. I’m a single mother to 2 kids. Raising and taking care of them is my priority. I shouldn’t have to worry about remembering every little issue that I bring up to KB to ensure it’s completion. We love being a brand new home and neighborhood. For the most part, the entire process was very smooth and easy. We were very pleased with the purchasing, designing and paperwork side of the process. The structure and materials of the home are great but we are disappointed with the level of detail on the workmanship. It is clear that the houses are being cranked out and there is no standard set for a clean/neat job or for the workers to pay attention to detail. The caulking, trim, paint, corners and edges are very sloppy and rushed. Its unfortunate because this is what you see on a daily basis. AC designs have had to come out multiple times to repair AC unit. It's an inconvenience and still have to work with them. I wish the house was finished and tested everything before we moved in. We are still dealing with some issues with plumbing and missing fixtures.

The quality of the house looks like it's not brand new it look like it's 5 years old with alot of problems need to be fixed because of rush work on the house. The house cost too much money to have too many problems.

So far I have ran into many issues. I have a bad Carpenter ant infestation. Part of my walls weren’t even painted right. The pavement on the driveway has things not right. The construction people made a lot of mistakes. I would not recommend KB Homes. The lenders were hard to get along with. Susan C. the sales associate has been great.

Cindy my selling agent was great. I do not like the fact that certain things were left unfinished and sloppy, granted they have been fixed, but I guess things were being rushed to meet a deadline.

We are finally in our home. For the most part we are very satisfied. There were minor areas that needed attention but because of the good construction supervisor Andrew they have been taken care of. The house is nice and KB built a good house.

Service after the sale has been disappointing at best!

I understand COVID delayed building materials etc. I was good with waiting 9 months. Then every month past the 9 was excuses as to why my home wasn’t finished. I told them I was pulling out of the contract because the new home building excitement was gone. I’ve been in my home now 2 months and there is still stuff we are waiting on and things they didn’t complete before moving in (minor to them major to us) Love the home but just not a good experience

Overall the process was a good experience but the communication from our superintendent was not very good. Felt like we were in the dark most of the time. We had to ask questions and initiate all communication.

The builder does not know how to lay down sod .My yard is currently a ankle hazard and can't cut without the lawn mower coming to an abrupt stop in various areas because of uneven areas and holes.

I’ve had several issues that were promised to be fixed and have not been fixed with no updates or responses.

Great experience with the Staff at the Sales Center. our home was delivered with some incomplete issues. the response was quick in addressing the issue but action to correct the issue was unsatisfactory. to date we still have issues that are not completed not sure when this will be addressed.

Ensure all corrections are done prior to closing.

Overall my experience with sales and finance were great. However the workmanship and follow up are very poor I still have issues with my home that should have been addressed prior to closing.

Some of the materials that they used are too cheap.

Any follow up work that has been needed has yet to be followed up on and I’m well past my 30 days.

Mr. Chavez is phenomenal and once he temporarily took over the Harbor Dunes community, everything started to positively progress in the right direction. However, I’m still missing a bunch of items and no details on when those items will come in other than it’s on back order. Still waiting on several items to be fixed as well. Lastly, the subcontractors that KB Home hired to build, install, paint, etc… were very sub-par. And for the price I paid, I figured the builder would throw in a complimentary refrigerator, but I guess I should be happy I got something (blanket). This is not my 1st home buying experience and so comparing to my previous one, KB Home is a huge let down. As a first time homebuyer I thought buying new would keep me from having to fix things. That has not been the case. I have a garage that gets wet when it rains, dinged and scratched “upgraded cabinets” that were “fixed” instead of being replaced, the siding in my entryway looks horrible, a chunk of concrete missing from entry way, scratches on most doors throughout the house, hollow sections of the flooring, nicked bathtub, missed grout spots on bathrooms, nails sticking out the trim, paint on door hinges throughout the house, scratches on sliding door, the garage floor is cracking, etc. So far, the people that have come out to fix some of these issues just patch things up and sometimes end up looking the same. ... Buyer beware. House was great, great building superindent ( very important). Land services were shoddy. Landscaping was terrible. Lot not level, large drop off but on my property.

When we signed to buy our home, we were told verbally that our slider would be a foot shorter and the downstairs bathroom would no have a window. However, we were not told the gutter on the back of the building would be eliminated. You may say that the salesperson didn’t tell us. Fact is, it should have been in writing all the things the models and already built homes had which would be eliminated. Nothing. We could actually sue for the shorter slider and the window and gutters if we wanted because we were buying what appeared in the model and the already completed homes.

The responsiveness has been amazing. They've had challenges given I moved in just as the city was going into the "safer-at-home" measures. Having said that, I'm finding so many nail holes not filled in. I see what looks like flakes on the walls, but when I touch the flakes, they are actually poorly covered nail holes that when touched flake off to show the underlying drywall and nail. I have a shower stall in the master bath, but the tile cuts are uneven making it look like the work was not done by a professional. It was a difficult decision to buy a house in this price range - I think I expected the few upgrades that were done to be impeccably done. ... More

Sales rep was prompt on lot and model availabilities. Design Center appointment was exciting and handled professionally, but responses after final appointment were not responded to. KB Home Loan team was great to work with and received prompt feedback. Superintendents resolve issues as fast as they can but at the mercy of the contractors. Many contractor quality and workmanship issues found during the build and after closing (aren't these supposed to be caught and fixed prior to closing!?). Unfortunately, from observations and experience so far, if you rate internal KB surveys with avg or low scores you put yourself at risk for slower to no responses to issues during your warranty period. ... Sales great, home is build well good value for price. However, coordinating follow up to resolve issues needs attention. Coordinator for this project does not communicate of complete followup timely. This can be very frustrating.
