Buying with kbhomes has been a very stressful experience. Wish it was easier since we purchased one of the most expensive house they built in this area and the most expensive in our community.

I bought a house in Feb/March 2025 and moved in on May 1,2025. So far everything is below average Sprinkler system is out of wack, sprinkler heads broken or non functional, system missing a piece for full functionality, tree removal request fell on deaf ears, today a door knob fell apart , house was built in 2024 and was on inventory, I had bad experience with sales team who actually are more of a car dealership.Garage door is like we are opening a tunnel door beside I greased it still makes horrible sound Internet lines were messed up so Xfinity charged about $200, to put cable through ...

The delay on handling things around the house after closing has been a very frustrating experience. This is my first home and I was not expecting so many issues because it's a new build. I closed 2/17/22 and still waiting for things to be taken care of. Now I have a ceiling leak on top of that.

I'm still waiting fixtures for my home. Almost 2 months and still missing items. Repairs and issues still need to be worked on with zero to little communication.

The value for the price we paid for our new home is okay, despite the continued issues before after move in. However, the communication and service from the construction team and lender were very disappointing. I would highly recommend that future homebuyers stay far far away from KB.

Lack of presence of of the promised appliances on the day of walkthrough like No Stove range, no Microwave. Lot of small issues needed to be addressed and it took almost 45 days after forcing the buyer to close on the property. I had to make repeated requests to make repairs and customer service is NOT customer oriented team at all. KB homes threaten buyers to close on the property when it is NOT move in ready. Very disappointed that as big as KB Homes building umpteen number of homes in the area, conducting in this unprofessional manner taking the joy of owning a new from the buyers. I heard ...

The entire experience is one of the worst I have ever had and this is the third home that I’ve built. The completion time was twice as long as I was promised, and the quality of the work is mediocre at best. It’s almost impossible to get things resolved off your punchlist. I have been in the house for two months and things that were supposed to be resolved after my 10 day walk-through are still not resolved. It’s only recently that I started dealing with Mike one of the people in charge of this development that I have been able to get things addressed, he is great but the entire experience ...

Too many request asking to fix or replace items in a new unit. Owner is very uncomfortable with 2 builders. The younger builder said if I gave them ALL 10's he would make sure I got a garage door opener even though my unit did not come with one.

I booked the home Nov 2021 with a delivery commitment of May/June 2022; All things were planned accordingly in the covid era so delays due to covid is a mood point but the builder kept referencing to it and delivered the home in Nov 2022; So what that did to me a. Increased rates even with a rate lock b. The houses that was built and delivered was not per the waitlist order c. The discounts that lender can offer was not sufficient enough to cover the loss at closing d. I was renting the house and the timing was so off that i'am unable to rent For potential buyers in to the future, make ...

The house was 5 months late from the agreed date. The studio did not let me change some items on the same day that i signed. They promised to finish a couple of discrepancies before closing and they havent fixed 80% of the issues and i closed 2 months ago. I told them that the the original oven that was suppose to be in my kitchen will not fit, they said it will but it did not fit. 2 months from closing date now and I still dont have my microwave oven and one bathroom is not functional.

My experience was not very good, as a matter of fact it was less than desirable. There were so many outstanding issues that needed to be fixed before closing date that I still waiting to be fixed almost 2 months later. I waited 11 months 3 weeks for the house to be completed, I would have gladly waited another week. The way the home was turned over to my was just UNACCEPTABLE!! It was dirty, paint splatter on the bathroom and kitchen floor, missing lights in the bathroom, bedroom door unable to lock, painted shower head in the bathroom, chipped cabinets and much more but you get the idea. As ...

Very poor finish mainly inside home, including but not limited to Cabinets, trim/moulding, doors, hardware, flooring has paint, caulking, grout, etc. on them. Missing moulding, moulding not lined up in some areas, excess caulking stuck to trim, gouges, uneven painting, hardware painted over. Walls had issues, home was filthy. Shower doors not lined up properly. All concrete cracked (large cracks) from day one. Other things wrong as well, never got 10 day, 30 day punch list. How home works never covered. Items were addressed most not completed closed end of April, this is August. We ...

Things had been resolved from the pressure of closing and not having my appliances in my house at the time of closing but there has been so much turnover in superintendents that issues I had just fell through the cracks. There is no follow-up anymore. Once you close - it's like you don't matter anymore.

The house was not ready at the time of delivery, it was even closed two months ago and the house still needs things to fix, the bathroom window, drywall, cabinets with damage, which are supposed to be new and they went and patched it up. I think that when you buy something new it is new and not patched up since I paid for a completely new house It's been two months since I moved and it hasn't been 100% complete I only had 1 walk and 1 day before closing I think it is disrespectful to the buyer that we pay for good quality and service which has not been provided to me.

This is me and my wife first home. The experience wasn't pleasant at all. We understood the pandemic situation and also we understood there may be hiccups the things we couldn't understand how we came into a walk thru that was full of trash our home was not completed when I mean complete is a lot of things that was just throwed together and then communication wasn't that pleasant at first but it seems if you give a bad review or they want you to do a survey they call you more consistently. Everything wasn't terrible but when it came to the tradesmen and getting things do e correctly it was a ...

I am very disappointed in kb home builders because we closed on March 31, 2022. There are still issues that I brought to the superintendent for Carter Landing subdivision in Jacksonville, Florida (Chris) and csr (Cody) whose been downplaying our concerns, but continue building other homes around us as if everything is nonchalant and fine. I have sent pictures through text, provided them with list of concerns, provided them the information to fix our issues and they have sent out several individuals who have showed up, but not have fixed our problems.

I don’t even know where to start here. 5 closing dates which were all pushed back, heavy pressure to close when house wasn’t ready, terrible follow up about things needed to done from superintendent and customer service, overall poor craftsmanship and not to mention my $2000 “full overlay cabinets” were different than in the design studio and they refuse to do anything about it. I will never build with kb again or recommend kb to anyone. No accountability in this company from the TOP down. I’ve been in my house 2.5 months and still have a laundry list of things that haven’t been done. ...

Supposed to have a 1 year warranty on issues but there is no point of contact, the buying experience was horrible and they locked me into not using a realtor. The floors are warped in several homes in this community, the irrigation and land sloping is not bad. Constant issues, I wish KB just followed through with their promises.

We have made several complaints, we were told certain things before buying and now those things are not true. We have had not one thing done with quality in the home, have had issues with door hinges coming off, windows with scratches on them, broken doors, chipped tile, broken and chipped cabinets, flaws in our counter tops, issues with plumbing, poor craftsmanship of walls, power sockets, trim, tile in bathrooms, sprinklers on wrong property, holes in our driveway, dents in cabinets and front door and roof, uneven work done, the stone on the front of house looks sloppy. We closed before the certificate of occupation was issued and could not move in until a day after signing. The house has many issues from poor construction to a yard that floods. The poor construction was identified and we were told that it would be fixed. We are now over a month into this process and very little has been fixed and nothing major.
