Terrible quality control / worse customer service

Quality control was non-existent. Very frustrating when promises are made to fix issues and appointments are repeatedly blown off and go unresolved. KB has no regard for integrity or quality. Refuse to display my name to avoid repercussions. Try any other builder

Construction workmanship quality is lacking, lots of corners cut, follow up and fixes from construction supervisor is almost nonexistent. The promises for all hands on deck to fix a multitude of issues was not delivered.

This process of building with KB was a bit of a cluster… there seemed to be lack of communication between Sales, Design and Construction throughout the entire process. I signed my contract in March 2022, and the build didn’t start until July. Michelle M. was my sales counselor, and she was great.. and did her best to keep things moving forward…. Throughout the process he never addressed my concerns . Always said yes that will be fixed and never followed through. After I closed I came to my home with NO A/C AND THERMOSTAT! . I closed Feb 28,2023, I did not move physically till April 17, and my water bill is $300. The house is not yet 100 % completed till today April 18,2023. Windows and door screens are not yet installed, laundry room is only 90% completed, garage entry door knob was installed backward , lights outside and front door are wrong in accordance with the upgrades, garage door is still dirty, numerous of over painted edges. Its over price. They forced us to close even its not ready, not even close to the promise of the term”RTM” ready to move. Floors are dirty.

KB homes was our 1st single family home purchase. We went threw 3 superintendents which was a nightmare many sleepless nights. If you’re looking for detail work you will not find it at KB homes. Superintendents so over booked and worked dealing with you as a homebuyer is like walking into a busy restaurant on a Friday night with poor costumer service. The main guy over all the construction sites that’s worked like 25 years for KB homes is true to his word and will make things right. He is a family man and is kind to help threw hurdles.

I have horrible experience with KB, very slow haven't met any of the timelines they have provided, you will not get answer to your questions, bad quality in most parts and this happens primarily due to time constraints to close. Never ever getting a home through KB Homes

I got home with ceiling fan, the backdoor sliding door was dented. The response from KBhome was super slow. I had to escalate it to corporate office to find the supervisor information and even after that I had to make multiple calls to get a response. Finally they responded but getting the work done is super slow. Also KB home in their base mode (price they put on the website) is a bare bones house. E.g they don't even give handle to door, garage door opener, LED lights as default. These are we need to take as upgrade.

Outlets installed crooked. Garage cement 5 feet long cracks. Doors don’t lock properly. Window shutters weren’t installed until 3 weeks after we moved in. A motion sensor flood light that I paid for was replaced with a wall switch to turn on, not what I paid for. Just less than adequate overall workmanship.

Sold me a lot then built guest parking on part of my property. Awaiting what they are going to do, otherwise need to take legal counsel. Didn’t even have on the lot map they were adding guest parking near my home. Who wants strangers coming and going outside their doorstep? Contractors constantly over due to faulty and incomplete construction. All promises things would be fixed. Still dealing with humidity problems, AC problems, plumbing problems, electrical problems. KB home is terrible, I regret buying my first home with them, and everything in the house is broken and not properly put together. They’re management team sucks and all they do is bluff and talk and don’t get the work done when things need to get fixed. I am grateful to be a homeowner but I wish it wasn’t KB. I would rather go to dr Horton, yet they wanna complain their customers aren’t satisfied and get upset that we’re upset with them, I feel like I brought a 50 year old house because of they built everything in and out the house but complain when I say things are not done.

The finance team was great. Very responsive and never did they my address my questions or concerns. The builder, however, has not been trustworthy. The first superintendent behaved as if I was irrational in expecting him to properly fix issues. The second superintendent dropped the ball and is now attempting to schedule contractors to come out. All the while I have to request time off from work to address issues that were identified and assured would be fixed prior to closing. I was threaten to lose my rate if I did not close before my house was completed. I have lived here for over 1 month and my master shower has never been used because it still isn’t completed. My closet has no shelving, I’m missing some gutter on the roof. I still have blue tape that wasn’t fixed that was noted by a kb employee himself. The superintendent sends you nothing but lies about the progress of your home. If you plan to buy from kb anyway I suggest you check progress on your own and do not close until it is 100% completed.
