KB Home Reviews in Jacksonville St. Augustine, FL

It’s was great experience with KBhomes in buying new home.

House looks like it was built in a rush. No quality control was implemented though the building process; lots of details were overlooked. Response to repair issues with the house extremely slow to none.

When we started out with KB it felt like there was a rush to get things done from the start to the finish. The day before the closing was a rush as documents that should have been submitted to us for final review weeks before was still not completed for review and they were constantly running the numbers even though nothing had changed. Mortgage Department one person she knows herself left me and my husband off the deed. Now I have been left with the headache of getting that sorted out. When we did the Design Studio appointment had one person doubled up on our upgrades twice . Once during the video appointment and the other time on the final document. I pointed it out to her and she told me their was no error. She changed it on the system overnight and submitted it the next day without acknowledging her error. I print all documents before so I can review before i signing. She needs more training. KB needs to put up more and clearer signs so that people do not get lost trying to find this community. I am Constantly on the phone directing Uber, delivery company and fast food companies as the GPS is sending them to the neighboring community . Mail Boxes are located 15 minutes away walking. That does not make any sense. Each community has a cul-de-sac why not put them at the end of each community. There is no recycle or garbage pick up in this community as it still under construction. I have a very long list of things to fix. I have biting ants in my kitchen no food left out they were also on the carpet and outside on the patio. Shower pipe in master bathroom the water pressure is so low i can hardly take a shower. Too many things to speak on. Now we have moved into the area. Angie and Richard has always been very nice throughout this process. I have been here a week and no one has come to welcome us to the area. I have met a few of the neighbors really very nice who mentioned they have received gift baskets and gift cards. I am still waiting on mine not feeling very appreciated after spending all that money with KB. KB All your buyer's should be treated the same. We should all feel welcome. I hope this review will help KB improve customers overall buying experience. ... More

The overall home-buying experience with the financial portion was awful. Had to send it my documents multiple times and not much communication then to pass us to another lender. Rick with construction has made this process great. He responds to any new issues that we have with the hike of the house. The overall price of the house would of been fine if a fence was added. Fencing needs to be added to the property for it to be perfect

Total and complete disappointment. I would never recommend KB homes to anyone I know. If I could give a zero as a score, I would.

Wonderful experience with Kerry and Brandon while building our home and after the fact. Everyone has been very responsive in getting things taken care of. We love our new home!!

A month before closing we saw issues with the home that needed to be fixed, in order to delay the closing we inquired prior to the walk through. They said all issues would be addressed the same week and closing and be resolved quickly before closing. I closed on 23 June and it is now 11 August and I still have several items from my initial walkthrough that should have been fixed.

Nice finishes and budget friendly

With rushed timelines and first time buying a new contraction it was a long process. After getting to closing the construction team and sales team here great and have been very responsive.

Great experience, especially with the sales and builder side. Richard was great from the beginning.

Belynda, Tori, and Richard were all helpful in the process of us buying our first home. Even though things got stressful at times they made the process go very smooth and easy. Would definitely recommend KB to my friends and family members looking to purchase a home

The Process from start to finish was fast. The quality and the value of the house is great. The experience with the builders wasn’t as fast after the walk through; However they started completing the job. New buyers make sure you follow through making sure everything is completed in a timely fashion.

Joe helped me with the process of moving in and the after care and he did a great job and he was always quick to help out. Overall I had a great team my realtor Brian was very good and so was my loan officer Tori. Great experience and would recommend to others

So far I have ran into many issues. I have a bad Carpenter ant infestation. Part of my walls weren’t even painted right. The pavement on the driveway has things not right. The construction people made a lot of mistakes. I would not recommend KB Homes. The lenders were hard to get along with. Susan C. the sales associate has been great.

Very knowledgeable and professional

It was a good experience

Working with the builder has been a pleasure

KB home is terrible, I regret buying my first home with them, and everything in the house is broken and not properly put together. They’re management team sucks and all they do is bluff and talk and don’t get the work done when things need to get fixed. I am grateful to be a homeowner but I wish it wasn’t KB. I would rather go to dr Horton, yet they wanna complain their customers aren’t satisfied and get upset that we’re upset with them, I feel like I brought a 50 year old house because of they built everything in and out the house but complain when I say things are not done.

Excellent attention and service

Everything has been taken cared for in my process of buying this House!

Check everything before you move in walls, floors ceilings and diagram. For the most they were pretty fast to come fix the items that were wrong.

Loved working with Brandon! He is always very responsive to out questions and issues that we have. All our new neighbors say the same thing!

Better communication between me and my loan officer. Ended up paying more in the closing because my closing date wasn’t specified to me PROPERLY. I would also like to state that I’ve been in the house for a month (the house isn’t fully up and running, minor fixes) and only one of the minor issues have been fixed. It’s unacceptable. Glad I can have a home but as a first time homeowner the whole experience is traumatizing.

Lack of presence of of the promised appliances on the day of walkthrough like No Stove range, no Microwave. Lot of small issues needed to be addressed and it took almost 45 days after forcing the buyer to close on the property. I had to make repeated requests to make repairs and customer service is NOT customer oriented team at all. KB homes threaten buyers to close on the property when it is NOT move in ready. Very disappointed that as big as KB Homes building umpteen number of homes in the area, conducting in this unprofessional manner taking the joy of owning a new from the buyers. I heard the same complaints from other home owners in the locality. Simply disappointing and frustrating and KB Homes won’t give a hoot and won’t budge in to compensate either. Will never buy another home from the builder I must mention that Scott the sales person and Construction supervisor Chris were professional and nice but my complaint is about the builder. ... More

Cindy my selling agent was great. I do not like the fact that certain things were left unfinished and sloppy, granted they have been fixed, but I guess things were being rushed to meet a deadline.
