We have a great experience with buying a KB home, special with sales and loan officer, they were super professional and proactive and guided us through our dream, don't have any major complaints about it, and have basically same small issues as everyone has when buy a new house built from somebody else, but in overall we are pretty much satisfied what we choose and that's most important! Family happy life happy! !

From the first meeting to the last, the people were responsive, caring and problem solvers. The KB team is committed to making the building experience stress less.

KB employees are 10+ in communication, promptly and courteous always.

The entire KB team was very cooperative, helpful, patient and knowledgeable. A few glitches in getting in because of the Covid virus, but that is not the builders fault. Timeline to close was moved at least three times and that cost me additional monies ~ to store my furniture. That basically is my only issue. Some of which was not the builders fault. Any structure issue are being addressed - minor trim work is being fixed. The value and property are exceptional. One criticism I would list is that the landscaping is almost identical for each house in this phase of the Verona development. I am disappointed in the ‘’ 1770 walking closet’’. Very bad design like the Kitchen pantry. There is hardly no room in the pantry and I live by myself. I can’t imagine how uncomfortable this will be for a family to deal with. All of these minor details creates a dissatisfaction with the house that I bought. It creates unnecessary hazzle that could be avoided. Homes come without gutters. I can’t believe you want to sell a house in that range of money without something that is crucial to have in a house.

Control from HOA is bad heads up

Friendly staff that is there for you when you need them. They were patient and explained everything. The only issue was with setting the closing date due to VA loan.

The people we have worked with have been fantastic. The house was an inventory home, and will be more difficult to make for our lifestyle. Bathrooms without storage is something we haven’t seen. There are some details that need attention. But we have had nothing but great support from Karen and Brent. They are an asset to your company. I briefly spoke with Chris, our KB Home Warranty professional and look forward to talking to him again as time moves on. I called Whirlpool to schedule a repair but the wait time was 90 minutes last night (20 January at 6pm). That seems excessive

Home was built with affordability, smart home design. the only drawback as some members what the rating to be a PERFECT score but the house was near perfect but not ABSOLUTE perfection.

Very helpful until you close. Then they ghost you

House wasn’t completely finished when we moved in and it’s been 7weeks now and we are still waiting for things to be finished. We love our house just wish they would have completed the job prior to us moving in.

Great price home was build during pandemic but still was done right

Overall a very nice house, but some subcontractors need more oversight. For example, I have five rooms wired for ceiling fans and every room is wired differently, so have to remember what switch does what. Some windows don't close far enough for the window lock to fully engage. Windows are low-E but provide almost no sound insulation.

Fit and finish is NEVER perfect, and I understand that, However follow up and follow through. Too many emails never responded to and once we do get someone to respond, very defensive in nature. Not asking for perfection, just understanding. Simplest step KB could do is to simple say, "I hear your concern and here are the options . . ." In stead of, "well that is the subcontractor, or that is construction, or that is sales . . . " Overall I am satisfied with the house, however not the follow through.

Responsive promptly to minor problems. Excellent customer service

When you have a customized track home built, it is expected that you will incur workmanship issues and areas of concern along the way and even after closing. How these issues of concern are handled is truly what makes or breaks the feeling you have for the builder/supervisor of the community. KB Homes sales counselors set very high expectations for the quality of the workmanship, the community planning, and the communication with the staff that you will be receiving. The quality of workmanship was much lower than expected, the community itself is coming along nicely, but the communication and after-the-sale performance are where they fall very short of your lowest expectations. OVERALL, KB Homes is a good builder offering a quality home at a fair price. I would recommend them to a friend with some cautions and the need for a lot of patience. A few tweaks with the personnel who has direct contact with the buyer and standing by what you say from start to finish would definitely take KB Homes from being an average builder to becoming an outstanding builder again. ... I have been in my house since June and I am still waiting for issues to be fixed. KB is quick to get the closing done but not so quick on getting items identified on the punch out list fixed.

KB uses the cheapest materials and the GC does not seem to care or know how important is the appropriate installation. Warranty and repair process works fine, but only for stuff that is broken, not for wrong installation. In this case, GC will answer that it is installed per their standards even when it’s not installed correctly.

There are some that go out of their way for service and others that use excuses as to why they can not help. The drainage of the lots are not into ponds or conservation area, and there is no recyclable water in phase 2, leaving very high water bills, no street lights, no amenities, and no customer service.

Final result was a nice home with a few flaws. The process getting there was slow, poorly managed, significantly delayed and a last minute mad dash allowing for small flaws to be easily overlooked. Perhaps that's the strategy of the builder. Overall the project seemed chaotic with poor project management resulting in tons of contractor rework because someone isn't familiar with scheduling and order of operations to build a home. There were multiple instances where the proceeded with the project without a prior step completer. For example, hanging drywall without complete electrical resulting in drywall patches with mismatched textures. Or insulating the attic without complete electrical resulting in the electrician removing or destroying attic insulation. ... More

While at the end of the day we are happy with the home we purchased, the process to get here was a nightmare. The gross majority of the information received from the KB sales staff and superintendent was inaccurate. Everything from being able to upgrade to St. Augustine grass, to the size of our lot, to lying about when permits were submitted, to assuring us that we would have reclaimed water for irrigation, and the list goes on and on. The construction quality turned out OK, but only because I was at the home site almost every single day and pointed out the very obvious issues and code violations that were included in the initial construction. If I was not there everyday to identify these issues, they would not have been fixed. Anytime we brought up an issue the response from KB management was, "You're welcome to back out of your contract and then we'll resell the home for more than you paid." This is KB's attitude toward their customers. Our home was over 7 months behind schedule. We signed the contract in Dec 2021 and didn't close until April 2023. The delays were due to mismanagement, not supply issues. We found KB completing other homes in our neighborhood that were not under contract until MONTHS after ours. When we brought this up they stated that they mixed up the paperwork and our got pushed to the "bottom of the stack". In the last month of our build - KB brought in the superintendent's manager to take over the completion of our home and working directly with this manager resulted in us getting the home completed. ... Workmanship was rushed and corners were cut. There instances where workmanship was decent, KB ended up using cheap or worn material. I was told "nothing is going to be perfect" multiple times where there were chipped rocks in our stone, warped areas in our roof, soft spots in our floor, paint to cover over chips on doors, and etc. I understand making a profit but mistakes were made multiple times over where if done correctly the first time it would have saved time and money.

The home loan closing with KB showed complete incompetence. No one knew if we were in a flood zone and I paid twice for flood insurance and I have not received a refund still. They did not answer any calls or emails at the end and delay after delay after delay. No transparancy at all. The closing process was terrible. Thank goodness this our last home. Even if it wasnt I am not sure I would choose KB again because of the terrible customer service with the loan department .
