Friendly staff that is there for you when you need them. They were patient and explained everything. The only issue was with setting the closing date due to VA loan.

House wasn’t completely finished when we moved in and it’s been 7weeks now and we are still waiting for things to be finished. We love our house just wish they would have completed the job prior to us moving in.

Failures of KB homes!

Numerous drainage issues in front and side yards and am tired of the same old answer of this is Florida and if water standing more than 48 hours it is ok. Part of front yard and sides are a constant mud pit.

expected better finish than delivered. Ok, but not great. small things not up to par. Need someone on site before closing to review the complete structure for finish - paint, flooring, install etc. House was not up to standards or readiness and cleanliness. Jess saved the day at closing.

Love the house, issues that should have not required contact

Fit and finish is NEVER perfect, and I understand that, However follow up and follow through. Too many emails never responded to and once we do get someone to respond, very defensive in nature. Not asking for perfection, just understanding. Simplest step KB could do is to simple say, "I hear your concern and here are the options . . ." In stead of, "well that is the subcontractor, or that is construction, or that is sales . . . " Overall I am satisfied with the house, however not the follow through.

The house features, efficiency and design the best. Service and warranty is good, however there is room for opportunity in the warranty responsiveness. The construction workmanship is bad, needs to put more attention to details!

When you have a customized track home built, it is expected that you will incur workmanship issues and areas of concern along the way and even after closing. How these issues of concern are handled is truly what makes or breaks the feeling you have for the builder/supervisor of the community. KB Homes sales counselors set very high expectations for the quality of the workmanship, the community planning, and the communication with the staff that you will be receiving. Very bad on communication. They almost never get back with you on anything. We closed two months ago an still cant get paint and things fixed that they promised would be done if we closed. They want you in so that they don't have to do any more work.

There are some that go out of their way for service and others that use excuses as to why they can not help. The drainage of the lots are not into ponds or conservation area, and there is no recyclable water in phase 2, leaving very high water bills, no street lights, no amenities, and no customer service.

Final result was a nice home with a few flaws. The process getting there was slow, poorly managed, significantly delayed and a last minute mad dash allowing for small flaws to be easily overlooked. Perhaps that's the strategy of the builder. Overall the project seemed chaotic with poor project management resulting in tons of contractor rework because someone isn't familiar with scheduling and order of operations to build a home. Workmanship was rushed and corners were cut. There instances where workmanship was decent, KB ended up using cheap or worn material. I was told "nothing is going to be perfect" multiple times where there were chipped rocks in our stone, warped areas in our roof, soft spots in our floor, paint to cover over chips on doors, and etc. I understand making a profit but mistakes were made multiple times over where if done correctly the first time it would have saved time and money.

KB Home - The home loan closing with KB showed complete incompetence.

The home loan closing with KB showed complete incompetence. No one knew if we were in a flood zone and I paid twice for flood insurance and I have not received a refund still. They did not answer any calls or emails at the end and delay after delay after delay. No transparancy at all. The closing process was terrible. Thank goodness this our last home. Even if it wasnt I am not sure I would choose KB again because of the terrible customer service with the loan department .

While at the end of the day we are happy with the home we purchased, the process to get here was a nightmare. The gross majority of the information received from the KB sales staff and superintendent was inaccurate. Everything from being able to upgrade to St. Augustine grass, to the size of our lot, to lying about when permits were submitted, to assuring us that we would have reclaimed water for irrigation, and the list goes on and on. Poor Workmanship. No follow-up from KB on completion of construction

Before closing, KB was unable to get trades to finish or repair poor workmanship. Closing was delayed due to unfinished and poor workmanship. KB drywall & concrete contractors produce deplorable work. The interior walls were not sanded prior to paint and orange-peel was unsuccessfully used to attempt to mask workmanship defects.
