Nice home, but was a nightmare to get it done.

While at the end of the day we are happy with the home we purchased, the process to get here was a nightmare. The gross majority of the information received from the KB sales staff and superintendent was inaccurate. Everything from being able to upgrade to St. Augustine grass, to the size of our lot, to lying about when permits were submitted, to assuring us that we would have reclaimed water for irrigation, and the list goes on and on. The construction quality turned out OK, but only because I was at the home site almost every single day and pointed out the very obvious issues and code ...

Poor Workmanship. No follow-up from KB on completion of construction

Before closing, KB was unable to get trades to finish or repair poor workmanship. Closing was delayed due to unfinished and poor workmanship. KB drywall & concrete contractors produce deplorable work. The interior walls were not sanded prior to paint and orange-peel was unsuccessfully used to attempt to mask workmanship defects. After closing: Most trades are slow to respond to warranty issues. KB super does not follow up with contractors or homeowner on repair/rework status.
