They set the expectations high based on all the things they say/share and provide for documentation of the process yet it didn’t seem like they actually followed through with it. I guess it could’ve been worse but definitely not as great craftsmanship executed in the building of the home as they sale nor are they consistent. Make sure you use a realtor to keep you in the best interest and not just be another “Lot”. Overall the experience was okay but at the end of it all we had to “clean” a brand new home to move into.

Bad experience with part of KB Home employes and quality of work

House stiill missing shower glass, heat not working at all, A/C not working properly, air ducts does not flow,cabinetry for kitchen and batroom have poor quality,they damage the upgraded appliances and floor. They have a slow response for warranty, and the problems not fixed.

Moving into a new house should be a wonderful experience. It's been a nightmare. I referred 2 people and now feel bad for them. I tell everyone I know to stay away. I still have issues after 2 months because KB hires the cheapest laborers amd then wonders why we as residents always call

This was my first home building and buying experience and I am slightly disappointed. I chose to go with KB home because they promised and strive for "great customer satisfaction" and portrayed their company as being highly attentive to their home owners. We love our home but there are many flaws. I would describe our home as "messy." When doing our walk throughs with the construction manager we pointed out specific things that were not right or that needed to be corrected and we were promised everything would be fixed and perfect before we moved in. Well that was not the case because there is a multitude of areas in our home that need to be fixed. Secondly, we were promised a 10 day follow up after move in and we did not receive any acknowledgement or "check in" until a month and a half after moving in. I have been living here for 2 months now and still have not had any of the problems in my home fixed or had any further follow up. The only good experience we had was in the studio. We had a great representative that walked us through each and every aspect. It is a very over whelming experience and she made it very easy. The only misleading part is picking out the exterior colors of the house. They give you a sheet with a few different swatches laid out and expect you to pick your house color from that. I would recommend having a physical picture of the house painted in each color scheme to help the buyer have a better idea of what their house will look like. We worked with a lot of people in the process of building our home. The office people we first met were great but only get you so far with questions and concerns. It was so difficult to get into our home and get things done and fixed because we felt forgotten and taken advantage of. I can’t imagine what other people in our new neighborhood are dealing with at this point. I will not be recommending KB to anyone nor will I ever plan to build with KB homes again.

Wouldn’t recommend using there financing, they gave me the run around completely and never were honest on where I was at with my loan. I ended up just using my financing instead and everything was done within 2 weeks.

Make sure you double check all information given to you. I was given incorrect information that cost me 15k.

We have been in the house for over 6 weeks and we are still waiting to get issues resolved. The fit and finish was really disappointing. The house was not cleaned when the movers showed up. All we got was empty promises.

Home delivery was delayed considerably. Two months after closing, there are still items pending to be closed such as shower enclosures.

I have lived in my house for 3 months now and I still have items that have not been fixed. Zero communication and the complaints that I have submitted have been tossed aside. They don’t care, they have their money and screw the consumer. Very disappointed in this company.

The time to build was too long for the size of the house. The quality of work is horrible. The neighborhood has a lot of self centered residents Wish I would have known. I would have looked elsewhere

We sign the contract September after 1 year almost ready to be closed, we was ask to closed even though we know the house is not complete because the sale person and construction was very nice to us and they need to submit the quota to corporateans also promise to finish the house in 30 day so we did a Favor by trusting but boy we are so wrong I moving in 2 month my house still not complete yet we have submit multiple warranty and have a construction supervisor know they alway come up with excuses and promise but never do anything. So disapointed and upset at the same time.

House wasn’t even completed on closing day and kb homes didn’t even have paperwork ready to close when they picked the date to close. Craftsman ship is disappointing. Got my microwave stolen while in building phase. Landscaping is dying and uneven and mostly dirt and grass. Sodding isn’t even up to code. Cracks In driveways and inside garage and only lived in for 2 months. They said the settling is “normal” but the cracks will only get worse down the road.

I have had way too many issues with a brand new house.

Sales started out great, as time went along construction progressively got worse, sales had no answers builder had no answers, walls built where walls shouldn't be, vents were wrong etc. etc., 13months to close and still haven't had issues or promises kept but KB got paid and now here i am still cant open a window due to know screens, counter tops look like cigarette burns, we have back splash scheduled but we will see what happens with that...will not recommend to any one to buy here, my family bought 3 homes here and wish we hadn't.

Multiple issues with quality of material and workmanship.

Kb is one of the worst company to deal with. If you have any issue with the home no one seem to be able to help. Stay away. Recently purchase less then 2 months ago. Having issue and no one cares. The worst experiences I have seen.

Sales team was great. All other aspects from loan, construction, quality, craftsmanship, closing, to repairs has been a nightmare. Very disappointed in the product. There are major issues in every part of the home. Moved in and the AC, Ovens, electrical and plumbing all had major issues. 2 months in and we still do not have proper working air and still no ovens. Countertops that we paid extra for is cracked. Most of the electrical was wired incorrectly or not at all. Overall, the lack of detail, care and professionalism was missing. Not sure if it is incompetence or laziness or both. Either way we feel as if we were sold a lemon. We will NEVER EVER BUY KB homes again. Do your research!!!! Also, incorrect materials were used. Drywall does not even reach the floors. We have had at least 20 repairs so far and are awaiting many more to correct the issues. The construction manager who was in charge of our home lied to us multiple times causing us extreme stress about closing. We had no where to go, our storage unit was up, had to cancel movers and KB undelivered as promised multiple times. Finally closed with an incomplete home. This was the worst home buying experience I’ve ever had. I will not recommend KB homes to any one of my friends, family or even my worst enemy. No one should ever have to deal with a lazy, unorganized, unprofessional group of people ever especially when buying a home. Buying a home is suppose to be an enjoyable experience this however was far from it. I’ve been moved into the home for 3 months and stuff is still not finished yet. They do not keep their word even if it’s on paper as contract. Worst company to deal with

This has been, and continues to be, the most frustrating encounter I've ever had with a builder. Despite having a year and a half to construct the home, the same issues were repeatedly brought to their attention. The repairs carried out by KB were subpar and haphazard, resulting in the need for multiple returns, and the situation deteriorated with each attempt. We invested significant time to fulfill our obligations and be available when required, only to find them unprepared and tasks incomplete. Despite asking multiple times for confirmation of completion before our arrival, KB consistently deceived us. As two professionals with demanding schedules, we sacrificed valuable time off based on inaccurate closing dates. Additionally, we incurred financial losses due to missed rental opportunities and payments to third-party vendors engaged for necessary inspections. We closed on the house with outstanding items that remain open! What should have been an exciting moment was stolen from us. We closed on 10/6/2023 and still waiting on repairs to be coordinated. Warranty is unresponsive, does not reply in a timely manner, does not follow through with agreements in place, work orders were completed incorrectly, people are showing up without the proper resources to complete tasks, showing up unscheduled, and work completed is mediocre often times leaving more things to fix and clean up. Staff is condescending and tries to manipulate the customers into completing the survey with scores that are not merited, offering upgrades for higher scores.
