After everything I have been thru the buying of my house, I just can say that with the professionalism and help of Jill H.(sales representative), Mariel G. (Design Studio manager) and with the help after the last walk thru and his fast action with the final details of Mark (project manager), my dream house can not be come true. Love the house. Steve, the construction manager, has been the best part of it all.

The weekly calls from either our sales agent or the general contractor made the home building process remarkable and easy. Great communication the whole time!

At first they were very on top of issues, as more issues arise after living in the house it took longer and a littler hard to get things accomplished - especially the first time

Builders from the start gave weekly updates on the construction of the home. Layout of the home turned out well and any issues or repairs needed after closing are being resolved periodically.

The home that KB built for us is our first home. My husband and I love the great customer service that Angie gave. She made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Tony is also amazing and we truly appreciated all the calls we received from him, while he was building our home. The only downfall would be the Financial part/mortgage originator rep named Rosa. She was not responsive and we definitely didn’t have a good experience with her. So needless to say we went with another mortgage company that was more helpful and responsive.

The house is good but there are some issues that have to be address on the inside

Sales person Gabby was great, as well as the closing staff at the closing offices. The last construction manager we dealt during the final days of construction was also very helpful.

The entire process was made easy from the sales to home store to construction manager to financing. The process was explained by sales in the beginning and they never missed a beat. Would recommend to others

Great experience with KB homes

As we have lived in our home going on the second month we have found a few things that where not done correctly. Walk through doesn’t allow a through inspection because of course everything can’t be looked over in just a few hours. We love our home just wish something’s weren’t done so poorly.

I need to say 100% satisfied with the service of the construction manager, New Home Sales Counselor, and Loan Department. The materials are good but could be better. The Responsiveness to issues is fast but not necessary the results are as we asked. The construction workers don't have enough attention to the details. Issues that I want to share with no resolution at our favor.: Asking for a better more capacity AC unit ( I will pay the cost difference), a lot of construction debris over already installed appliances (we asked for microwave replacement) and very bad quality grass. At the end, I'm finally happy with my house. Also, until now, the Warranty department is awesome. Let's see how is the warranty service during these next 2 years. ... More

Cabinet are a disaster

Good community, they still have some issues to fix but they are working on it.

Jeff, our Sales Counselor was terrific. I cannot say enough good things about him. Closing was delayed a number of weeks due to supply issues. A number of things were incomplete upon closing in early December and added to the Exception List. We are still waiting to have many of the issues resolved.

House still incomplete. Missing shower and cabniet trim. Never given updates, I have to call in and ask what's going on and no one ever seems to know.

Big thanks to Jeff, he was amazing! Thank you, Grace, for your input and patience. Rick, always on point and knowledgeable, Mark was good.

We are hoppy to move in to our new house, unfortunately there are still alot of thing need to be done. My tip is to hire a private inspector and a realtor when purchasing a home, brand new or not. Make sure you dont need to rush on your closing date so that the builder will finish everything before moving in.

Sales staff was amazing with helping find a lot and floor plan that fits my needs. After that we took a wrong turn somewhere. Once the slab was poured, I identified an issue missing with a missing the rewire for the floor outlet (contract stated before slab). Brought it to the builders attention, his response was it should be there if it's on the contract. Fast forward a week or 2, they had to cut the slab for wiring, bit it was in. During the build had typical issues that were address prior to closing, normal finishing issues. Moving on to closing... So we had a closing date scheduled and there was an issue with the carpet padding that prevented my final walk through, I was not notified until the day before the walk through that it would have to be rescheduled. Keep in mind these walk throughs are during my normally scheduled work day, which the builder knew I had to take the day off to attend. Move forward to the second scheduled walk through, they tried to cancel the night before yet again because the builder had a scheduling conflict, not sure why because he chose the date for the second walk through. My agent talked them into letting us do the walk through with the selling agent and have our inspector do his inspection. Inspection was good only a few minor issue they had already identified to be fixed, horribly laid sod and cosmetic issues which is not surprising since it was a new build. Addressed concerns with the builder and he was happy to "take care" of all the issues. Due to these issues they tried to push my closing date over 30 days due to a total of 4, yes 4 scratches. Glass was scratched in the shower and 3 scratches on the cabinets. We worked through it and closed in a reasonable time, but the lawn doesn't appear to have been fixed, there are large gaps in the sod which I am afraid could injure my kids ankles or pets. Figured I will end up redoing the entire yard so not a big deal. Now that we are moved in I receive a notice that I have a very minor HOA fee that is past due and will begin to be a big problem if it is not paid in 30 day. The information at closing was incorrect and that the closing agent, title company, or finance company someone from the builder provided incorrect information and all fees were not paid at closing (not a big issue, and very small amount of money but it should not be an issue at all since the people who created the closing contract either work for or are contracted by the builder's company). That is what happened to me and may or may not be an isolated iincident,I cannot speak for other residents. Cons: HOA is kind of expensive (no amenities or whatever) and the grass are uneven in the tiny park and sometimes there’s litters. Builder still has not replied or given me the garage opener they promised (it has been 2 months since we close), which shows they’re gonna be like that if some warranty issue happens. Loan officer keeps getting our names wrong during the process and the closing was postponed 2 times and only notify us hours away from it. Pros: Community is quiet. The house is fairly build.

Our build took 10-11 months and we received several updates that were inaccurate during the process. There were several occasions where work was advised to have been completed but was not. The quality of the build was nothing spectacular and there are plenty of flaws due to KB’s choice of contractors. We have been in the home for two months and we are still waiting for issues to be corrected; such as the lawn being replaced due to dead, weed infested grass being installed. Also, we were in the home for a month and we found out that our blinds were never ordered until we had already been in the home for 3 weeks but we paid for the blinds during our design process. Thankfully the supplier of the blinds was willing to prioritize our order due to the lack of dependability with KB. The entire process from initial purchase to final move was average. one major item in our kitchen that we were never told about and was not in the model is the exhaust fan above the microwave oven that just doesn't look right and takes away the consistence I the model had above the kitchen cabinet it appears like an after thought. After moving in we had issues with the bathroom vents in one case water entered the bathroom after it rained and in the other bathroom the ceiling started to form bubbles in both cases the galvanized vents were not installed on the roof tops. The builders team were responsive to our calls depending on the issue we were calling them about. My recommendation to any potential buyer is that all the work is being performed by subcontractors and not directly KB workers thus builders commitment is not as I would imagine or have seen with KB homes in California. If you are planning on buying a home from KB I recommend frequently visit to your new home as it is being built, take picture, report and document everything to the builder that your dissatisfied with. One more recommendation I have for KB leave extra paint with every new house you sell so that the owner can perform touchups to the wall, front door and so-forth. One more request please remove the outhouse that sits across my home, it is disappointing to see every morning I leave my home to go to work. ... More
