The quality of the workmanship and materials was great, but it’s the KB Homes people that made the difference. From Sales to Construction, and everyone else in between, the folks I had the pleasure of interacting with made the new home buying experience not only memorable, but enjoyable! :-)

I would recommend KB Homes to anyone my experience has been an awesome one. I hope they don't ever change their ways!

Do your research to know what is documents are required before buying.It made things a lot easier for me.

As we have lived in our home going on the second month we have found a few things that where not done correctly. Walk through doesn’t allow a through inspection because of course everything can’t be looked over in just a few hours. We love our home just wish something’s weren’t done so poorly.

My home is beautiful, and exactly as I wanted. There were a couple of hiccups in the building process, but they always responded quickly and fixed whatever the issue was. Now that I've lived here for almost 2 months I've noticed some small things that needed attention, and they have still responded quickly, and they have not given me any grief about fixing anything. I love the neighborhood as well because it is small and no CDD fees. Overall, I am very satisfied with my choice to go with KB Homes and I absolutely love my home.

I was VERY satisfied with my home and would purchase a KB home in the future based on my experience. The home is energy efficient, well built (my home inspector said so) and I was particularly impressed with the hybrid water heater! The only problems I have are: 1. standing water on the sides of the house due to poor grading or the fact that the houses are too close to drain well. 2. noticed that my lawn grass was not rooted properly either due to the builder not watering daily for the first 30 days or that it was already dried out when placed on the lot. This has caused my grass to shrivel and die in places unless we have continuous rain. 3. The worker who laid the tile left small pieces of concrete all over the floor instead of cleaning up after his work. This was disappointing. ... More

Where to begin. The overall experience out of 5 stars regarding KB as a whole I would give is a 3 across the board. The reason for this is the lack of prompt, timely and consistent communication. Specifically from the KB Home and Construction Manager associates we enter acted with from beginning to end. Out Home Loan Consultant, Joe was amazing and very much a valuable asset to KB’s team. The Design Studio, although there were minor errors on a few things, which they worked quickly to get correct and resolved, were fantastic! Our construction manager for Medford Lakes was not at the standard the other 2 areas I just mentioned above. He made it a point on a consistent basis to add in almost every conversation, “Now when you get that survey, be sure to give 10’s and 5’s across the board.” He pointed out to us on many occasions, that if we didn’t not give those ratings across the board, it still affected him. I didn’t like the fact that by him saying that to us made us feel that if we didn’t that he would give us a harder time of the issues we brought up during our build. I’m sure he wouldn’t but it sure felt that way. He did provide push back several times and we stood firm with what we wanted. Steve did make efforts to fix the areas in which we asked him to have his guys do, but it was only as the cost for a 10 or 5 star rating. Those experiences, although fixed, didn’t yield a high rating. If he and his team was perfect, the issues we brought up wouldn’t have been issues. Steve said he’d do things and they weren’t done. Still to this day as I write, I haven’t received small items that he said he’d do. I don’t need them anymore as I went ahead and took care of the need. It’s the principle, mean what you say and be a person of your word. Not for the cause of a desired rating. Again, all in all, Steve and his team and the KB Home Loans team and the experiences they provided me during my journey of KB Home ownership was nothing greater than a 3 out of 5 start or 7 out of 10 rating. Id like to provide a KB build recommendation for its homes and that would be to consider having insulation placed in the walls throughout the house. As we’ve lived in the house, we’ve learned that you hear everything and the walls are very much thin because of it. An added layer of insulation would help tremendously in the interior walls. I understand the home is an efficiency rated home and doesn’t need that, but for the sounds you hear when faucets, doors shut, conversations, etc. this would be an added benefit. The screen porch door and sliding doors aren’t sealed and the screen door doesn’t stay on the track. The window screens for the house, don’t say in place and have measurement issues that cause them to not fit properly. The cabinetry caulked to the wall has already separated in the kitchens and bathrooms. The concrete floors when poured are not even. There is a crack in the ceiling in our entry way. The front door bottom seal doesn’t seal properly when shut. The garage door has the same issue as there is a visible and noticeable gap. The blinds don’t crank and turn smoothly. There are quite a few things that for a new home and only being in it for 3-4 months seem like shouldn’t be. Very happy satisfied with our purchase...Nice neighorhood, and great price

Sales staff was amazing with helping find a lot and floor plan that fits my needs. After that we took a wrong turn somewhere. Once the slab was poured, I identified an issue missing with a missing the rewire for the floor outlet (contract stated before slab). Brought it to the builders attention, his response was it should be there if it's on the contract. Fast forward a week or 2, they had to cut the slab for wiring, bit it was in. During the build had typical issues that were address prior to closing, normal finishing issues. Moving on to closing... So we had a closing date scheduled and there was an issue with the carpet padding that prevented my final walk through, I was not notified until the day before the walk through that it would have to be rescheduled. Keep in mind these walk throughs are during my normally scheduled work day, which the builder knew I had to take the day off to attend. Move forward to the second scheduled walk through, they tried to cancel the night before yet again because the builder had a scheduling conflict, not sure why because he chose the date for the second walk through. My agent talked them into letting us do the walk through with the selling agent and have our inspector do his inspection. Inspection was good only a few minor issue they had already identified to be fixed, horribly laid sod and cosmetic issues which is not surprising since it was a new build. Addressed concerns with the builder and he was happy to "take care" of all the issues. Due to these issues they tried to push my closing date over 30 days due to a total of 4, yes 4 scratches. Glass was scratched in the shower and 3 scratches on the cabinets. We worked through it and closed in a reasonable time, but the lawn doesn't appear to have been fixed, there are large gaps in the sod which I am afraid could injure my kids ankles or pets. Figured I will end up redoing the entire yard so not a big deal. Now that we are moved in I receive a notice that I have a very minor HOA fee that is past due and will begin to be a big problem if it is not paid in 30 day. The information at closing was incorrect and that the closing agent, title company, or finance company someone from the builder provided incorrect information and all fees were not paid at closing (not a big issue, and very small amount of money but it should not be an issue at all since the people who created the closing contract either work for or are contracted by the builder's company). That is what happened to me and may or may not be an isolated iincident,I cannot speak for other residents. It is a nice community, and very quit minus the construction during the day, which is to be expected since they are still building. ... More

I need to say 100% satisfied with the service of the construction manager, New Home Sales Counselor, and Loan Department. The materials are good but could be better. The Responsiveness to issues is fast but not necessary the results are as we asked. The construction workers don't have enough attention to the details. Issues that I want to share with no resolution at our favor.: Asking for a better more capacity AC unit ( I will pay the cost difference), a lot of construction debris over already installed appliances (we asked for microwave replacement) and very bad quality grass. At the end, I'm finally happy with my house. Also, until now, the Warranty department is awesome. Let's see how is the warranty service during these next 2 years. ... More

The home buying process is nerve wrecking. I will admit I was assigned to a pretty hard working team. The home loan team of Moore and Hylton. And any discrepancies with the house Gillespie and Abdul was quick to handle them. So yes I'm happy it's over...... hopefully

What a wonderful experience to buy a home with KB Home. We not only bought a beautiful home, but we had some great people to help with the experience. From the day we picked out the lot to the day we closed on our home has been awesome. Thank you everyone involved!!!

KB Home has a team who is willing to help you and answer any questions you might have throughout the whole building process. Steve, the construction manager, was really helpful and friendly when we needed to address a couple of things in the house.

KB Home was always there from financing to picking the land to the construction of the home. Ensuring my complete satisfaction. When we encountered any issues, they immediately took care of it with no questions asked. KB Home produced a great home at a very good price. I definitely recommend KB Home.

We had a wonderful experience building our dream home. Joe is an amazing person, harworker and is very diligent with everything that has to do with the house.

We enjoy our new home.... and are grateful for the people that helped us along the way
