Sales staff was amazing with helping find a lot and floor plan that fits my needs. After that we took a wrong turn somewhere. Once the slab was poured, I identified an issue missing with a missing the rewire for the floor outlet (contract stated before slab). Brought it to the builders attention, his response was it should be there if it's on the contract. Fast forward a week or 2, they had to cut the slab for wiring, bit it was in. Cons: HOA is kind of expensive (no amenities or whatever) and the grass are uneven in the tiny park and sometimes there’s litters. Builder still has not replied or given me the garage opener they promised (it has been 2 months since we close), which shows they’re gonna be like that if some warranty issue happens. Loan officer keeps getting our names wrong during the process and the closing was postponed 2 times and only notify us hours away from it. Pros: Community is quiet. The house is fairly build.

Our build took 10-11 months and we received several updates that were inaccurate during the process. There were several occasions where work was advised to have been completed but was not. The quality of the build was nothing spectacular and there are plenty of flaws due to KB’s choice of contractors. We have been in the home for two months and we are still waiting for issues to be corrected; such as the lawn being replaced due to dead, weed infested grass being installed. The entire process from initial purchase to final move was average. one major item in our kitchen that we were never told about and was not in the model is the exhaust fan above the microwave oven that just doesn't look right and takes away the consistence I the model had above the kitchen cabinet it appears like an after thought. I had major issues with KB since about half way through the home buying process. I was getting minimal updates and my initial time frame was pushed by months. Finally, at the end, my closing kept moving all around which made getting an appropriate private inspection difficult to do. KB stated it needed to be done a week before closing but when my inspector did come, so much still needed to be done and then closing got pushed. My begining experience was very good but contractor and building experience is frustate. Material for make this house low quality I didn' any kb homes people to toldk about low quality materials and contractor alwys make me frustate . I closed my november 25 2022 but contractor installed blinder and screen fully . Poor Workmanship

When we moved in we had multiple electrical problems that were not found until wenhad an electrician install fans and GFI's in the garage for us. We also found problems with the plastering job when we were painting the interior of the house. We found paint/plaster on the underside of multiple doorknobs. The construction manager was quick to respond to the issues but still.

Finance took too long with certain documents which caused the closing to be delayed several times. The house is not fully complete and there were many flaws in the home. Found poor quality work and many items needed to go through warranty. It seemed like a rushed home. Still waiting on items to be taken care of even though several months have gone by since living in the home. Majority of the items owner had call the contractors for each job directly. It felt like I was doing someone else’s job.

As a general builder, my KB Homes experience was good. Great salesmen. Very personable and knowledgeable. The experience was not the same after the closing. The lack of communication was the most frustrating part. With mw knowing how the work with contractors can be, it was exhausting trying to get things resolved because of the lack of follow-through. The only saving grace was the salesman (Jim) having to get involved to try and assist in coordinating things to be resolved. If it wasn't for him, I would give KB a zero!!!!!!!!!

Where to begin. The overall experience out of 5 stars regarding KB as a whole I would give is a 3 across the board. The reason for this is the lack of prompt, timely and consistent communication. Specifically from the KB Home and Construction Manager associates we enter acted with from beginning to end. Out Home Loan Consultant, Joe was amazing and very much a valuable asset to KB’s team. The sales experience was good. During the build, some issues were brought up and were either VERY slow to address or never addressed at all. Clearly the sub-contractors rushed through their work to go on to the next job at the expense of sloppy, mediocre workmanship. Attention to detail is lacking. Communication was poor, to include nearly non-existent follow-up. Maybe this is all KB specific, or maybe it is industry wide with all the big builders. Either way, KB could do so much better by simply hiring a construction manager who was competent, organized, and communicates often and well.

Going on 2 months now and none of the issues have been addressed or even made appointments. Doing business with KB is like going on a dating site. All nice and good at the beginning but once you discovered issues KB ghosts you. My sprinkler system is flooding, so I’m wondering if KB is going to replace my grass.
