I love my home. The location was the reason I purchased the home. I have been disappointed with repairs. Most are minor fixes yet are still not completed and I have been in my home for over 60 days. I am not pleased with the quality of my air conditioning in my home. It is suppose to energy friendly and well insulated. Which it is but at a cost of 2 bedrooms being hotter then the rest of the house. The air conditioning company telling me this is normal? They need to work on the function of the home. It looks pretty but it also needs to function. You need to put the toilet paper holder in spot you can reach. The gas line is at my bedroom window, who is going to grill in front of their bedroom window? No place for trash cans? You have to drag through a ton of stones and it is hard on feet/back. Paint indoors is flat, anything touches it and it leaves a mark. They offer a free touch-up but the guy never calls you back, so I gave up and did it myself. I am not that happy. ... More

Freddy the superintendent handle all my questions and concerns. During the final walk he made sure everything was perfect for me.

This is a beautiful community of townhomes and homes. Amber, in sales, and Eric, the super, are both very friendly and knowledgeable. I feel the design of the neighborhood, exterior and especially the interior of the home are well thought out. So many features and energy efficient too. I moved in over a month ago and I'm just as pleased today as I was the day I moved in. Definitely proud to own a KB Home.

Make sure your house is built the same as the model. When you at the design center don’t aloud them to rush you with your selections.

The plans to the homes built need some work. There were some quirk issues with aisle spacing in the kitchen.

Options available are great! If you are a visual person like me, make sure you ask questions about them and have a clear understanding of the options that you are seeing in the model homes so that when you are selecting the options for your home that you get the ones that you really want. Questions to ask: Is this option (from the model) offered in the home we have chosen? Are there any differences in the option from what we see in the model to that which will be placed/built in our home? How does the model differ from the paper layout of the house in the brochures? You will LOVE your KB home and all of the people you encounter are friendly and helpful :-) ... More

Overall I’m really happy with my house. I did notice a week after moving in, the paint on the outside of the French doors was already chipping off. Seems Like they only used one coat. The KB sales rep opened a claim for me when I initially told her, but as of yet, I had not received a call.

Day of our walkthrough construction crew was still working, outlet was missing, light was missing and cabinets were not fixed from it being broken a month before our walkthrough. After issues were brought to their attention they did fix everything we pointed out. A month and a half later we are finding issues such as nails through poking through the carpet, stove and refrigerator are for some reason turning off and need to trip the electrical panel a few times already which worries me.

We are very happy with everything about the house. A few things needed to be fixed that are probably part of normally buying a brand new home but they were quick to schedule and come out. The only thing we were unhappy about was the extra carpet padding we bought because the installer cut it too short so you actually feel the wood stair under your feet and they didn’t pound all the nails down so that hurt. Again, In the process of having it fixed though And quick to schedule.

Within three months of move-in, multiple observations have been made of poor quality of workmanship

KB Home did a poor job in building my house. It took them almost 6 months to build the house but it looked like a rush job. They installed the kitchen and bathroom cabinets without care. As evident of cracked cabinet doors with deep scratches and dents. The wired shelves were not inspected prior to installation, as some of them already have chipped paint and looks dirty. Paint splatter on tile floor and carpet. They didn’t made an effort to clean up after painting. The doors appeared were not wipe down before painting, dust and dirt were painted over. There were also deep scratches and dents on doors. Chunks of dried cement on garage floor, driveway and patio pavers. They didn’t even wash down the spot where they mix the cement. I purchased my new home and moved from out of state. The entire process was pretty seamless considering I wasn't here to do anything in person. Everyone was extremely helpful in answering my questions and keeping me updated from the very beginning of the sale, to closing and afterwards. Moving is stressful at the best of times, but doing it while we are under stay at home orders was even more stressful. Everyone I have come into contact with has been professional and responsive to all questions and concerns. The process is even better than I could have expected. Our new home has excellent workmanship and KB Home is so far very responsive to issues. However, we have had a couple of issues such as too much construction material left in garage, cable and telephone connections to the house and within the house not fully installed and connected, some things as lighting and appliances not fully checked as working. KB Homes has been extremely responsive in acknowledging and addressing these issues.
