Before we sign the contracts for the new home we told the KB agent that we will be adding a second name to the tile and was told that we could add that person during the signing at the title company. When the signing day came was told by the title company that KB has to amendment our contract. So we went back to the KB agent told them what happen and was told by the agent that they can not provide amendment or change the contract. Which will create additional cost for us to hire a lawyer to deed our title . Also we were require 50k in earnest money deposit compare to our other home ...

KB homes is straight-forward to deal with. You know the prices and options you will get. They move fast in construction! But, that may be at the cost of quality. They do not use the highest quality materials and some of the labor is sloppy. It is nice to have a home and they price it so that you can buy it, but they are not necessarily a good value. Quality just isn't there. And then when you want something fixed.... everything should be smooth and quick but you get a million run-arounds which is unfortunate. Probably would be better to just do things correctly the first time.

KB Home and its subcontractors did not install the flooring and portions of the baseboard in my new home correctly, within industry standards or within manufacturers recommendations/specifications. Throughout the build process the original superintendent and regional supervisor were dismissive and patronizing. They disregarded everything I said, they ignored all the information I provided them that supported my claims and they tried to make me feel like I was being unreasonable. Been in the house only a few months and we've already decided at the end of the year we're going to sell. Multiple issues including leaks, countertop issues, issues with appliances, paint issues , quality issues, customer service issues, landscaping issues, and more. Customer service has been extremely useless with the exception of one or two helpful incidents. I will never purchase another KB home in my life. What was supposed to be our forever home has now just turned into a short-term living situation.

The home loan people were horrible. I wanted to back out based off of their issues but my realities talked me out of it. I like the house but you really should restructure your home loan people. It’s like they have no idea what they are doing and ask for the same thing multiple times through multiple people or they wait till last minute to ask for something that they should’ve known they’d need months prior. Slow and nerve wracking

Was able to purchase home after being selected in lottery. I was very excited but Immediately I was rushed and pressured with threats of losing opportunity to buy the house if I didn’t act on multiple request within hours and days after. Not only did it take o year to build my home, the closing date moved twice. There have been numerous issues (they’ve been fixed) that were annoying. Ie: leak under driveway, gas line not hooked up to furnace, carbon monoxide leak due to hvac not being hooked up properly,…I could go on. Definitely wasn’t expecting these issues when spending over 400k.

We have had a horrible experience and would not recommend using KB. Even after moving in, we still have so many issues that are taking forever to be addressed. We were told that any defects would be fixed within three days of our New Home Orientation, but here we sit about two months later and are still waiting for so many issues to still be fixed. Most of the issues are around sloppy work and cutting corners. KB never sent us our AC warranty. When we called to address the issue they just said it had expired even tho it was their fault for not sending it. Now we have no AC warranty. The tree in the front was dead before moving in and never replaced it. When I called they just said they cant do it. Our garage door has been defective for 3 months. My experience with KBHomes turned horrific right after giving my deposit. Our home was to be ready in about 8 months but 2 weeks after my deposit we only had 2 weeks to make decisions on upgrades which in my case turned out to be $45k which i also had to make another deposit on top of the earnest money. which turned out to be over $53k from there it became a nightmare i was at their mercy i could not cancel they had me . Home Sold With Many Issues

Unfortunately my home was sold with many outstanding issues as I was told to stop pointing out issues prior to closing, the biggest of which was the unlevel floor (entire first floor). The fix involved moving my furniture outside and having cement poured and the floor installed again. So many problems and now we found leaking issues destroying our walls

Just found out that the downstairs bathroom is flooding our walls around it and now growing mold. Kitchen sink had construction debris, with a wood chip clogged in the Ling causing sputtering and low pressure to the sink. Misaligned windows are still not aligned. Doorknobs installed in the wrong room and installed backwards and a bathroom missing locks. Kitchen GFI and gas stove on the same circuit tripping the outside breaker when even turning on the oven light.

6 month delivery delay, unprofessional after completion of sale. Independent building inspection revealed 100+ items not in compliance with building code. Obviously short cuts were taken in construction of my townhome. It’s a brand new home.

Before I gave a satisfied rate, everybody related my home was so nice and kind and took care of my complaint. However, after rating, they 1) IGNORE ME 2) BROKEN APPOINTMENT WITHOUT NOTICE OR EXCUSE 3) SENT WORKERS WITHOUT NOTICE OR INFORM EVEN VERY EARLY MORNING 4) TOOK ALMOST 4 MONTHS JUST SCUREWED SOMETHING 5) LET BROKEN MASTER BED WINDOW OPEN MORE THAN 2 MONTHS THAT ALLOWED CONSTRUCT DUST CAME INTO MY HOUSE. Finally, I give up complaint more, because I do not trust them and I do not have more energy to wait them.
