Let's start from the beginning. I found myself in a position to purchase a home. I thought to myself wouldn't it be nice to own a house so close to downtown Raleigh? Well, yes it would have been nice. To be honest the location is in an area with lots of growth. But, the point is the house is a complete disaster. I have never in my life been struck with such intense buyers remorse than after the purchase of this home. This WILL be my first and last purchase with KB home. The list of issues I have with this house are numerous. To be honest I have never in my life seen such poor craftsmanship in a new construction home. Somehow when whatever you call "warranty" work is done mud gets tracked into my house. The workers never cleanup after themselves and they do work that honestly a high schooler in carpentry class could do a better job. It's an absolute joke that some of the people working on these houses call themselves tradesmen. I don't feel like I come home to a new house every day after work. No, I come home to my little house of nightmares. I paid for a new house but instead I got the used car lot equivalent of one. ... More

There are always bumps along the path to building a home. We've had our number of bumps, but KB Homes has done their best to meet our needs and take care of any problems we've had. It's not always the fastest turn around, but that's understandable considering how many homes there are and the time of year we bought our home. Just make sure you let them know if any problems and keep clear communication and they'll take care of you ;)

KB was real quick to try to get the homes done that they hired the fastest yet obviously cheapest contractors and tried to get it done in sloppy record speed.. Overall, it's liveable and I AM ultimately happy with my home although it's been nearly two months since closing and still waiting on all (somewhat minor) repairs to be fixed. I'm having to take off half a days work (which will likely turn into two half days if I suspect we're working with the same contractors) to deal with what should have been addressed with the contractors themselves prior to move in, but I digress.. Aside from all that, salesmen Jack was absolutely great to work with although is no longer there. My finance rep John made the buying process easy-breezy. Building reps Kelly and Alyssa are doing everything they can to get items addressed and fixed so I can finally really be comfortable and happy in my own home. I feel like a lot of the issues I'm having to deal with is partly out of their hands and feel bad for being annoyed at this process but they've been doing a great job with what they have and I thank them for listening and understanding. Above all, I am happy with my home and just can't wait for the adjustments/fixes to be made and really feel at home in my home. With all that being said, would I recommend purchasing with KB Homes? Yes but I hope they take into account all their customers feedback and take take-away needless issues to avoid for the next person.. Thanks ... More

As a first time homebuyer I was initally very excited, but as time progressed, I became utterly disappointed with the whole process. The numerous delays, lack of communication and now that we are in the home, there are still a multitude of things wrong with the home, that we have been waiting almost 2 months for to be repaired. I will not buy another KB Home.

While the home KB delivered is certainly a fine home, I'd wager there are ways to get a fine home with less headache. After being in the home a while, it's clear where some costs were cut. Certain things were unfinished or wrong: a chandelier with no lightbulbs, the door to the garage was installed backward, a nail sticking out of the stairs, a shrub promised in the front that has never been installed, several dozen large nails left on the deck/backyard. Many of these left undone after I was told they would all be fixed. A free additional bucket of paint was promised that I've never received. Additionally, it has been very difficult to get ahold of people and to hear back. As I mentioned, it's a fine home, but I'm sure there are many other companies that can build a fine home and have better communication. ... More

Overall with all of the delays in constructing my home. Their was always an open communication with me.

It was a good experience as a first time home buyer. We feel happy to have a home by the end of 2021. The model we chose is one of the best in KB and my family and friends liked it so far. I was happy with the sales and construction superintendents they listened and are open to accept our requests. The market was crazy during last couple of years. KB delivered our home beyond their commitment which caused our interest rate to jump at an unbearable monthly payment and made us to live on month-month and the cost twice the normal rent for few months. From the start to finish it was hard no body had answers and one lie after another was spoken down to like I was dumb

Overall it has been a great experience with KB Home for the whole ride. From the sale rep Tim to the home option specialist Curtis and the builder supervisor Jared and the director Bill, we feel so thankful we are having the business with this awesome team. Although we are still waiting for some problems fixing which should be commons in a new home, we are trusting we will have the positive responses.

This is our first home buying experience in USA. The team (Ken, Curtis ) were very responsive. Deadline were met. Overall we had a very pleasant experience.

We moved into our new townhome in early Sept. Overall, the price we paid for the square footage/location was reasonable considering inflation and the housing market. The KB sales team is also a pleasure to work with. However, we have ran into multiple issues with our new home (including a major water leak from the bottom of our master shower which is resulting in our entire shower having to be re-done (tile ripped, new base pan, rotting wood in ceiling, etc). We have also experienced smaller issues such as pilling carpet on the stairway and a loose doorknob. The warranty team is attempting to resolve the issues however it is still very frustrating as a homeowner of a brand new home. I do want to give a shout-out to Jenny from the sales team at Liberty Station. She is always checking in on us to see how we are doing even months after closing on the home. Overall, recommend KB however we are not the only townhome in the neighborhood experiencing issues with our home. (Others experiencing appliance issues, etc.) ... More

Not so great experience. Not honored the words spoken.

I knew purchasing a new home will come with a few bumps and bruises and roadblocks, but all in all, it was good. A few minor things that needed to be worked on but Kasey has been on it to make sure it has or will be repaired.

Great homebuying experience from initial visit to community to post closing thirty day review … the construction and sales and design team were conscientious, reliable, knowledgeable and trust-worthy.

I cannot begin to tell you what a pleasure it was building with KB homes. From start to finish we were always kept apprised weekly of what was being done and the progress which was made. They sent pictures and the lines of communication were always open. Marshall our salesperson along with Gavin and Kaisee our site superintendents, as well as Curtis in the design center made our home a beautiful reality! Professional, caring, and always available, each and everyone went above and beyond. We can’t thank them enough. KB Homes is one of the best!

I wanted to relocate to the area and I had been searching for a home that was affordable and turn key move in ready. I didn't want to participate in bidding wars and found that new builds had less competition. I found this home late fall of 2021 and was able to watch it be built. The loan process was smooth and I am happy to say I'm happily settled in my newly built home. This was the less stressful way of homebuying. Thanks KB Home.

If I had to go through this experience with KB Home again, I would quickly decline. From start to finish there was always something going wrong or some kind of delay. I would not recommend this builder. The sales team was dishonest and lacked accountability, the design studio made false promises and the builders just told me straight up lies. The only positive experience I had was the financing part that is did through KB Home.

Alan and Don were great communicating with us from the beginning to the end, we run into a lot of issues from grading of the lot to constructions issues, in fact, we closed about 2 months now, I have not moved 10 days ago, we are still seeing issues with nails poping out, a few items pending from the last walk through before closing. our backyard keep getting flooded everytime it rains, and they are planning to regrade it again.. while I have two car garage, the drive way is so narrowed that I can only park one car ..
