KB was real quick to try to get the homes done that they hired the fastest yet obviously cheapest contractors and tried to get it done in sloppy record speed.. Overall, it's liveable and I AM ultimately happy with my home although it's been nearly two months since closing and still waiting on all (somewhat minor) repairs to be fixed. I'm having to take off half a days work (which will likely turn into two half days if I suspect we're working with the same contractors) to deal with what should have been addressed with the contractors themselves prior to move in, but I digress.. I knew purchasing a new home will come with a few bumps and bruises and roadblocks, but all in all, it was good. A few minor things that needed to be worked on but Kasey has been on it to make sure it has or will be repaired.

We love our new home, but we do not like our yard. KB needs to put more effort into how they sod and seed the outside. They left rocks everywhere and the sod is awful

Everything was great initially, but the financial part could have been better. The people from KBHS (Loan) worked like they didn't know exactly what they were doing, and in the end, I lost money and time because of them. When I asked for help because I had problems because of them, the manager answered, "It is what it is, and I had to see how to solve my problems." when we finished closing, all the promises made by the project manager of a second walk after the 30 days, nothing, I am still waiting, there are some details in the house that I had reported, and I don't receive any answer. We moved into our new townhome in early Sept. Overall, the price we paid for the square footage/location was reasonable considering inflation and the housing market. The KB sales team is also a pleasure to work with. However, we have ran into multiple issues with our new home (including a major water leak from the bottom of our master shower which is resulting in our entire shower having to be re-done (tile ripped, new base pan, rotting wood in ceiling, etc). We have several ongoing issues in addition to the many, some resolved, experienced. In no particular order: 1) We purchased two ceiling fan presides that were suppose to work off of two wall switches. However, only one switch works and the other is dead (times two). KB electrician blamed us for getting a ceiling fan that he said was not compatible with two switches. That is nonsense as ALL ceiling fans come wired liked the ones we bought. Hard to rank value. There are many things we love about the home but they all came at a price. Construction seems to be solid. Appliances were not installed well. Some big issues going on now with infrastructure in the neighborhood which is unnerving. We will see how it all works out.

KB home seems to be more about quantity & production vs quality & customer satisfaction. Had multiple issues with house & community since home purchase. Workload applied to management team seems to be a lot to be able for them to address all homeowners concerns, repairs & issues in timely manner.

Ask about drainage issues with lot before you purchase

I was not informed when I was choosing my lot that there would be a drainage issue when it rains in my back yard. The backyard floods whereby the water stands making it unusable for several days. Several attempts to alleviate this issue have gone unsuccessful. This problem has tarnished my new home building experience.

If I had to go through this experience with KB Home again, I would quickly decline. From start to finish there was always something going wrong or some kind of delay. I would not recommend this builder. The sales team was dishonest and lacked accountability, the design studio made false promises and the builders just told me straight up lies. The only positive experience I had was the financing part that is did through KB Home.

Please check the workmanship. Bottom door gaps to large, latch plate not precise (3 doors), painting appears down right amateurish - wall repairs you actually see the paint roller marks, cutting on corners not precise. I really expected more from a reputable builder like KB.

Buyer beware…Do not buy a KB Home. They are kings of bait and switch tactics. The property was a mess. The house was filthy as if someone already lived in our brand new home. Plumbing issues and scratched windows from day one. Dealing with KB’s customer service has been worthless and I am pretty sure everyone in my neighborhood feels the same way!

From the day I put my deposit down to close was 3 weeks short of 52 weeks. There were tons of delays including the week leading up to close. It seemed like the turnover of sales people, builders created an environment where myself, the buyer never knew what was happening or who I could reach out to. In the final month and a half they brought in a new project manager, Kelly who is and continues to be a Rockstar. He is so responsive and knowledgeable. The entire process would have left a sour taste in my mouth if it were not for him. I would give him 5 starts in every category possible.

The contract supervisor that was employed when we bought our house was horrible! So many things were not completed for our home on the Closing date and he lied about so many issues and made excuses for not being able to complete items.

KB Home does not provide high quality homes. We have quickly noticed all the shortcuts that were taken during the building process after moving in. It's obvious many of the subcontractors they hired were rushing and did not take pride in their work. So much so that they ended up firing the first crew and ended up hiring a new one, but a lot of damage was already done with the previous crew that they claim could not be undone. Additionally, they had delay after delay (it took 5 months longer than they said to get us moved in). Overall, this has not be a good experience. I would go with ...

Not Satisfied with the Home we moved-in

We moved into a Model home which was a sales Office earlier. Prior to moving-in (at the time of purchase), we were provided a lot of assurances but when close to the move-in date, sales representative was not agreeing to none of the items agreed upon. For Ex: the carpet was really Bad and nothing was done to address the issue. Similarly with the doors. The only saving grace was the construction manager Joaquin. He ensured all the defects highlighted on moving-in were fixed. Over all did not have a positive experience and also felt I had paid 20K more than the market value.
