Overall our new home experience has been great! We are first time home buyers so for us we were always weary about the home buying process from my sister-in-law's bad experience with her home and from the experience we have heard from other home buyers, so we weren't sure what to expect. It seems like you can always find a negative review but never a good one, however KB has changed our mind to the negative responses. From the very beginning Pam from the sales office made sure we were comfortable asking questions, very knowledgeable and she was always quick with her responses since we wanted to make sure we had everything on time so we didn't delay our buying process. Hope from KB home loans was great to work with and kept us up to date on what was going on since our new home was plagued with delay after delay but with every new build this was expected and she made sure we were taken care of. With all of this said and done I have been extremely impressed by the construction manager Robert. He was always accommodating when I had to reschedule our home walk throughs and he was definitely hands on when it came to the home building process. He was always timely and kept giving us updates on the progress of the home while it was being built. This was great for us since there were times where we wondered what was going on. If there was anything that needed to be fixed before we moved in he made sure it was completed and he definitely cares about customers since they are spending a large amount of money on a new home. ... KB homes is straight-forward to deal with. You know the prices and options you will get. They move fast in construction! But, that may be at the cost of quality. They do not use the highest quality materials and some of the labor is sloppy. It is nice to have a home and they price it so that you can buy it, but they are not necessarily a good value. Quality just isn't there. And then when you want something fixed.... everything should be smooth and quick but you get a million run-arounds which is unfortunate. Probably would be better to just do things correctly the first time.

The build quality is not at all good, the materials used are sub par. The workmanship is not at all good. Seems like some armature who has no experience has built the home. There are scratches on the marbles in washrooms and kitchen sink. Kitchen cabinets have so many damages like literally looks as if it is 10 years old. Dry wall putty is not put properly and chips off and cracks everywhere angles were not put properly for doors and windows. Door frames have damages everywhere even before they were handed over. Great experience…from the sales office to the super, everything went very smooth.

I'm 2 months, into a KB Townhouse, and very pleased. Certainly, the overall KB organization, sales, finance, design studio, construction overseers, builders, contractors etc are well managed. Moreover, I can conclude that to build a seamless team; they recruit, screen, select, and prepare everyone for their individual positions . That said...What's most impressive is having qualified and skilled professionals also have superb interpersonal communication skills and... simply kind. I think I got the best personalized home, of all...haha. I hope every buyer is as pleased.

Deisi and Trey were phenomenal during this process. They were very attentive and made sure that we received the best service possible. I would highly recommend them to anyone going through this journey.

From start to finish the KB team was so helpful and kind. They attended to my needs and made it feel easy and seamless. They all had great communication and I felt very well taken care of!

While I purchased a model home, and so did not complete the process with KB Homes studio, Aubrey and Danielle on the sales side and Ben and George on the support side post-purchase, have all been fantastic. The build quality is five-star and so is the responsiveness of the KB Homes support staff. Highly recommended.

We were very excited when we made an offer for our first home with KB home in Tesoro Viejo, Madera, CA but our excitement got ruined when the bulider doesn’t meet the expectations. First of all, it started with the sales management. Through our whole home buying process, their sales agents were keep on changing so we had to work with 3 different sales agents in 6-7 months and there was lack of communication and transparency. The first sales agent, we started working with, didn’t clarify all the upgrades and standard things when we made offer. It was frustrating when the home was almost ready and we didn’t find the things we were expecting in the home as we even weren’t aware of that ‘those were part of upgrades’. When we brought this issue to the Sales management, they didn’t respond for almost 3 months about the issue because their sales department doesn’t want to accept their fault and tried to blame us (the customer) for all that mess they created. Even though KB home’s design studio wasn’t aware of those upgrades. When we double checked with KB home’s design studio about our concerns they were also not aware of those upgrades. But the worst customer service they provided on that time when KB home’s management respond us with negative response about those concerns after 3 months that if we want those things, we have to pay for those and it was totally irritating that how come a Builder is asking to pay for something which is not customer’s fault and didn’t mentioned to us while we made the offer. Instead of accepting their managements faults, they tried to blame us for each and every mistake they made. Because of KB home’s unresponsiveness and being irresponsible of their mangement’s mistakes we have to pay extra interest rate on our mortgage as we were not able to move forward with our closing until we get any response from them. Finally, when the time comes for closing they messed up with the upgrades for what we paid for and they stepped back and didn’t fix those by saying that “Its right according to us”. I paid alot for my upgrades but the quality of everything is compromised by KB home according to the price they charge us. Our overall experience with KB home was the worst experience we ever had with anything else. KB home was treating us like they are giving free home to us so they don’t care about the customers satisfaction. I will never ever recommend anyone to move forward with KB home if they are willing to buy their dream home. They totally ruined my first home buying process. I enjoy living in my home with my dreamful views

We love our new home. Energy efficient, solar included, latest smart technology, great workmanship too. And we love the 3 car garage, a truly great value in the heart of Southern California, 18 minutes to the beach.

Great experience with plenty of help would recommend to anyone buying a home.

Make sure you double check all information given to you. I was given incorrect information that cost me 15k.

I want to thank Jerry, Stephanie and Mario for making our home buying process great. Any questions or concerns we brought to their attention was noted and taken care of in a timely matter! Great team, great communication and understanding!

My Sales person Kuniki and my Project Manager Kelly were outstanding! They communicated with me regularly and were super responsive to my questions and concerns. I have been in my home for just 2 months now and getting my punch list handled was easy and things were completed in a timely manner. Kelly is on top of the trades people and has done well fostering relationships with highly skilled and professional teams.

Great Price point, building process was ok but could use some improvements in the communication area.

This is my third new home purchase and without a doubt the worst experience! From communication, false information, poor quality and workmanship to extra expenses due to extensions on completion dates. We have been in the house now for a month and a half and are still waiting on fix it issues to be completed! We have been very disappointed with our KB experience. It's such a shame to purchase a brand new home and have so many issues due to no quality control. I shouldn't have to come into a new home and have to examine literally every little detail to make sure it's done right and acceptable! I'm assuming it's brand new and should be in prestige condition! Unfortunately that wasn't the case in our situation. Sorry KB Homes, you failed to meet the standards... ... More
