Overall, I'd say I'm satisfied.

My home purchase experience with my new KB home was very professional. The entire KB was available for all my queries and concerns. All my inquiries were answered in a timely manner by a KB team member including my loan officer.

KB home is terrible, I regret buying my first home with them, and everything in the house is broken and not properly put together. They’re management team sucks and all they do is bluff and talk and don’t get the work done when things need to get fixed. I am grateful to be a homeowner but I wish it wasn’t KB. I would rather go to dr Horton, yet they wanna complain their customers aren’t satisfied and get upset that we’re upset with them, I feel like I brought a 50 year old house because of they built everything in and out the house but complain when I say things are not done.

I had a good experience to be at home with this company. Service is pretty quick and transparency is good.

Mike and Rita did a great job of keeping me informed and handling small issues.

I love my new house! I just wish we did a more thorough initial walk through to find the issues we found when we moved in nothing major, but still inconvenient.

Since I have moved into my home (and even before closing for that matter) I have had a laundry list of things that were incomplete or not working. These issues range in size from small to large (broken cabinet all the way to leaky irrigation). The lack of communication between KB and their partner companies has been atrocious. Not only that, but the lack of communication to me has been horrible. I get that everyone is busy and y'all are trying to get up as many houses as possible but this has been a horrendous experience and I would advise people to stay away. Let me give you a couple of specific examples: 1. When I did my final walkthrough on May 25th (closing date of May 26th) there was a broken cabinet that I pointed out to my construction supervisor. It was finally taken care of today (7/19) after multiple outreaches from myself. 2. I didn't end up moving into the house until June 10th and on June 12th I noticed a leak in the irrigation system. I texted my construction supervisor on June 12th. I heard back from him on June 14th that he was going to swing by. By that point I had already received notice from the City of Austin that I had a leak for 30+ hours at 10 gallons an hour. The proposed solution was to turn off the irrigation system until their people could come out. So that's what we did. Their people didn't come out until July 12th when they told me "no leak" with no further explanation so we turned the water back on to the irrigation system. Low and behold, 3 days later I get ANOTHER email from the City of Austin saying I've had a leak for 48 hours at 11 gallons an hour. Keep in mind, I didn't receive a single notification about a leak while the water to the irrigation was turned off. Fast forward to today and the same guy comes out and tells me again, "no leak". Unbelievable 3. One of my issues since before I moved in was the fact that there was a 3 inch gap between the fence and the ground. The proposed solution was to have them come lay another layer of sod to lessen the gap. Well, 2 months later and the guys came out today to do that. EXCEPT, they didn't bother to knock on my door or confirm what needed to be done. Instead, I walk out of my office to see 2 guys in my back yard ripping up the grass in the middle of the yard! Nowhere near the fence. They clearly thought they were there to replace all the dead grass because my water hasn't been getting watered because, as you will remember, MY IRRIGATION SYSTEM IS STILL BROKEN!!!!! I send a picture of 2 men with shovels digging up my yard to my construction manager, warranty manager, and the sales person with no response. Again, this has been such a nightmare of an experience. I have tried to be cool and understanding but the lack of communication between all parties and lack of timeliness has me ready to jump out of a window! ... More

Please, save yourself the massive headache and avoid KB Home and KB Mortage at all costs. My first time buying a home and I regret it! From the start there has been nothing but problems, from lost earnest check to failed promises this entire experience was a joke. When dealing with anyone that is “ a supervisor” the buck gets passed off and you end up working with the same person you complained about and didn’t want to work with due to total incompetence (mortage side especially) On top of that the house has so many issues that it’s nearly laughable. First time opening my front door the trim fell off, which isn’t even one of the major issues. No one gets held accountable when nothing gets fixed or done either, so have fun spending a ton of your time and energy to get nowhere! If you get Lisa for your mortage, demand someone different as she can’t communicate for the life of her, even confusing my broker who’s done this for over 10 years. Due to her and her manager Erick’s lack of work ethic, integrity and honesty I had my close date moved back multiple times to the point I got my keys at 5pm on the last day of the month giving me 0 time to leave my rental property costing me hundreds of dollars ... I recently purchased a house for the first time. While there were some challenges along the way, the individuals who assisted us throughout the process were truly exceptional.

Ou home buying experience with KB Home was surprisingly easier than my husband and I thought. The process went smooth and less painful. All the staff members from different departments were wonderful, very friendly and very knowledgeable. We are now very happy to have a quality smart home, energy saving and affordable home. Thank you for helping us make our dream (to have a house) come true. You all exceeded our expectations! More power to you all!

Tom and Paul and Wes and Darin all were fantastic with it all.

We were able to move in due to the prompt response of Jacob to fix most of the things that were wrong. Still issues as of right now but we are living on the house.

My family was not completely onboard with the lot that was assigned by the original salesperson. However, after waiting a few months, the new salesperson was able to grant us the lot we wanted. Thus, being patient allowed us to get our preferred lot and of course our dream house built. It is great that a change in personnel can lead to both better purchase experience and customer service.

Material information was left out. After I took the keys, a few weeks later I had a qualified plumber and a selected electrician look at the work. The electrician questioned why my circuit breakers tripped off every other day, as soon as I plug my electric car into the 110 the breaker trips. The plumber didn’t understand why the drainage pipe for the air conditioner is above the 3rd FL bathroom on the room, since no other house nearby has this pipe sticking out. Also because the AC unit is on the side year on 1st floor ground. When I asked the asst super if KB hime he told me “every home has this” which is incorrect. Because sure to check the specs ... More

Everyone was very helpful from beginning to end. It felt like the Sales Agent wanted us to purchase the home and they did all they could to insure our purchase went smoothly. After the purchase, KB Homes continued to make sure our house became a home by providing various professional courtesies for our property. We are very happy we chose KB Homes as our builder.
