The sales and construction team did a great job at keeping us well informed each week. Those check ins were very important to us since we were out of town buyers. We love our home.

I would say our experience was up and down as first-time home buyers. I do think the process was interesting. You need a lot of patience as it took us almost a year to build. I do think that they would have clear contact information once you move and the communication could be a little better also who you need to contact for what since you have a warrant on the house?

My home buying experience took a bit longer than expected but well worth the wait! Reed was very professional and responsive to my concerns and was able to provide me with everything I asked for in a timely manner. I highly recommend him for anyone looking to purchase a new KB home. Also, Justin has been a pleasure working with and has followed up with any issues I’ve addressed. Overall, I’ve been very pleased with the outcome of my new KB home and love my beautiful house! The experience was good. The homes are very nice and neat. The employees/staff were all very friendly and professional. They made the home-buying experience much more enjoyable!

One of the best builders make you feel like family!

Post closing don’t expect much, so make sure everything is checked twice and checked again. No matter how insignificant it may seem make sure it’s done. Addressing issues after close is done at KBs convenience. On 4 separate occasions I stayed how waiting as scheduled and agreed and no one showed up. They did show up at their convenience when I was either working or had something else scheduled, regardless if they are contractors or subs they are agents of KB and should be respectful of your time and privacy. Overall just a bad experience and regret purchasing home, which sucks.

the buying process was good minus issues related to the lender. After moving in, I have noticed a lot of poor building. Builders cut a lot of corners thus requiring things to be repaired after. The front door was not aligned properly thus the door will have to be reset, the shower drain in the master bathroom was installed improperly and thus the drain is off by about an inch. Inside the kitchen cabinets, their are screw protruding through about a quarter inch. The air conditioner had no freon possibly for reason that none was initially put in and thus the house was increasing in temperature every night into the mid to high 80s or their is a leak somewhere in the house. HVac worker who came to fix the issue checked for leaks however none were found at this time. If problem persists and the new freon added is quickly used then walls will need to be removed to locate the leak. In short, I initially felt the entire process went well for the most part until actually moving in. Too many issues coming up that shouldnt be present after spending 540,000 on a home. ... More

Very poor quality home and facing lot of issues with new home

No doubt buying a home with KB is a great experience. But not our dwelling on the first month, this was the time we noticed some flaws on the materials and workmanship. First, our countertop has a lot of chips on it but it has been addressed already they did some repairs. Second, I thought the paint in the interior was so thin it can easily be removed seemed like only one coating was apied.Third and the worst, within a month of dwelling, our a/c already broke twice! Installer got notified but their emergency service was not until 3 days after we called. Summertime! Who would like to spend their days inside their new house with 93 degrees inside? From the moment I stepped into the sales office to look at the models I was met with great customer service. Lane was knowledgeable and had answers immediately for all my questions. He was consistently communicating with me every step of the way. Every person in the KB Home fields that I have had the pleasure of interacting with have been informative and friendly. Highly recommend anyone looking for a new home to look at KB Homes.

The start of the buying process was great, everyone was nice, friendly, and communicative, but once we moved into the house, people stopped communicating with us and now we have to deal with a jerk who is our rep named Brett. I requested a new rep and the response is that we can't have anyone else. That's great customer service, make us have to deal with a jerk who has no interest in actually helping us or answering emails. We had large mistakes happen in the house and had to have them all fixed once we moved in. If you plan on adding an AC unit with KB homes, you'll want to check it when it's ran because they do a bad job at running it so that in just a few years, it'll go out. ... More

I felt very satisfied from the beginning to the end the quality of my former home was excellent the builder team did all their work very well I feel very happy and satisfied again in my new home

Things went well overall - spec home didn't play a big part in the building process.

Loan process was easy until it came time to close all these excuses if what was needed or missing kept pushing closing back a week then back another week! Upgrades in home have poor craftsmanship dings scrapes & scratches on upgraded cabinets Tub insert not connected to wall attachment this creates repairmen to come make a mess to fix the issues that should have been completed correctly in the first place Holes in ceilings around fire sprinkler and around outlet covers Faulty plumbing causing flooding in the house first day we moved in

Took a few month more to complete the home, but over all it's done and I'm enjoying it.

Closing was set for March 24th. I did everything on my end to make it happen. The house needed at least another month's worth of work to complete along with a water leak in a bathroom. It was ridiculous to see. No hole for a dryer vent, broken trim, concrete in the garage a total disaster with spills and chipped concrete along with noticeable cracks already. Finally closed on May 15th with issues still existing. As for the inside of the house, I told the Superintendent I would finish the inside of the house myself because it was obvious the subs don't care about quality and don't have pride in their work. Some of the subs were outstanding in their work as far as flooring, kitchen stove, AC, and sprinkler system. The painters and trim sub contractors are terrible. And to have a toilet paper holder over 4 feet from the toilet is so laughable and I shared it with the Superintendent. The cost of this house as to the quality is totally lacking and way over priced. The Superintendent is a good man, but he doesn't have the ability to get quality workers to finish homes correctly and I can tell it bothers him. If I would have known KB Home was this bad with the finished product and what they try to sell you, I would have never done this and I will not recommend KB to anyone I know or care about. I also doubt this review will ever be considered because I have seen how the subs are allowed to turn out a product that does not meet the standards of quality. The poor buyers that had to move on closing day, I feel bad for them. ... More
