The whole process was much easier than I thought it would. Elaine, my sales person, was so awesome. Jeff, my loan processor, was always available to answer my questions and walk me through the process. Logan is incredible to work with for our aftercare. She makes getting things fixed a breeze.

The finance team was great. Very responsive and never did they my address my questions or concerns. The builder, however, has not been trustworthy. The first superintendent behaved as if I was irrational in expecting him to properly fix issues. The second superintendent dropped the ball and is now attempting to schedule contractors to come out. All the while I have to request time off from work to address issues that were identified and assured would be fixed prior to closing. I am incredibly disappointed and appalled at some of the requests made. I held my end of the bargain. I hope that KB Homes will finally fix the problems and stop the process of inconveniencing me. The superintendent should have never accepted the crappy workmanship of the subcontracting companies. It is really a unpleasant for friends an family to see door that was never painted nor hung. Doors not closing as they should. Doors not fitting properly and a shower/tub tile work that is subpar. Not level in many places. There is more but I hope to catch corporate’s attention. We have been here 6 weeks and still the house is not complete. Poorest workmanship I have ever seen. Have been promised numerous times for the completion but, to no avail. Front door was to be painted completely blue which was what we had picked out in the design studio. The door is only painted blue on the outside. Paint droppings on all floors. Several closet frames are 1/2 inch different from side to side. Transition molding in kitchen is not secure. Seal on one window is coming off. Sorry we bought into this house. Walk out the back door and you roll down the hill. Not level at all.

Great staff and exceptional service

The new home is great! Kb homes held my hands from beginning of signing to buy the home to close of escrow. After moving into my new home, I can still call on homes team to fix anything that needs fixing. Great team and excellent services.

Took 1 year and 4 months to build a basic house. Floor plans and building materials are very good. Factory built walls and floor platforms are excellent. Local subcontractors are TERRIBLE. Not only did the subs trash our tile, vinyl flooring, cabinets, and granite countertops but even after you move in they will trespass on your property, leave garbage on your lawn, and the ones who come from outside the US will harass and intimidate female members of the household who complain. Expect to be parked into your driveway by workers after you move in. We are still cleaning yard soil out of cabinets because they left doors and windows open for weeks with topsoil blowing. Even the ceiling fans were full of dirt. We had to pay to redo our tile grout as we couldn’t clean the muddy grout because a worker tracked mud everywhere on pristine tile. They laid carpet first THEN painted so we are still cleaning paint out of the carpet. No apologies from KB yet for this incredibly disrespectful behavior. Overall experience has been great. Especially with getting punch list items done. They are done efficiently and effectively.

I had a great experience with KB Homes. It was a well guided process from our first signature as intent to purchase all the way to closing. They are also great with following up with their customer satisfaction department. I had my purchased home undergo independently inspected by third party and was given over all great reviews on the quality of materials and very few points to repair, which were addressed efficiently. KB Homes has earned my recommendation.

Seller’s agent Tanika had been great but I had some bad experience with a couple of others after discovering a water leak with about a week after moving in. I picked KB because of some friends who had a good experience at another city. Maybe it was the pandemic, the supplies shortages, the shortage in workers but they could really do better.

The sales person jason & supervisor Ray are very nice in response to any issue.

KB Home is not a custom builder, but does offer a great selection of options at a price point that many can afford. Very nice open floor plans and great looking communities.

Always ask question. They will be there every step of the way.

Outstanding experience with KB Home Team for new home build (1455 sq ft) from site selection (just a dirt lot) through build complete ready move-in (8 months). The design studio (customizations and/or add-ons, in my case, patio, 9' ceilings, electric car charger pre-wire, ceiling lights & pre-wire ceiling fans every room, 7 in 1 surround pre-wired, custom kitchen cabinets & tile, bathroom appliances & customization to shower & tub, carpet, stair railings, bedroom to loft conversion, appliances microwave with air fryer & convection oven built in, wash/dry, oven with air fry, keypad door lock) is the best attribute. You can see them all before you lock in. After move in, some minor issues with appliances resolved same or next day. Throughout cycle, constant (weekly photo updates) on home build process. How did you feel about the entire process, from initial purchase to final move-in? My Overall Impression of buying a home with KB is exceptional. I can't express in words the gratitude I have for each one of the professionals who were a part in mine and my family's journey of buying a home. From the initial experience of looking at models and seeing that KB was the one for us, to the very last minute of receiving our keys and walking into our new home, the total experience was incredible. It was mine and my spouses first time buying a home, therefore we had a million questions, concerns and inquiries never once did we feel that our concerns were never acknowledged. EVERY-TIME we had a question the person for the task was always available and knowledgeable, answered all of our questions professionally, accurately, and empathetic. I can honestly say that I am incredibly grateful to have picked KB for this entire experience. How would you describe the quality and value of your new home? In minimal words I would describe the quality of my new home as valuable and expensive. The quality surpassed my expectations. My only complaint would be that unfortunately in the spaces inside Home where the builders call "wet spaces" it is the only areas that are painted in semi-gloss. The entire rest of the house is painted in flat paint which is incredibly easy to get dirty, any little smear of a finger print is noticeable and extremely hard to clean. How was your experience with the builder’s team? Did they do what they promised? Did they respond to you in a timely fashion? The over all experience with the builder team was a good one, the time frame they gave to me was accurate. My family and I were able to plan our move timely and accordingly which was great due to the process I'd waiting for a new home to be build from floor up. I thought it was especially exceptional that we received weekly and monthly updates. Pictures and positive thoughts. What would you most like potential home buyers to know about this builder? KB is nothing more than the best. They make you feel like family and they show how much they care about you and your entire experience in home buying, that to me is priceless. It took 15 months to build our home start to finish and it wasn’t even fully completed when we were pressured to close at the end of April 2023 so corporate could meet their goals, and we are now facing ongoing repairs and issues with the craftsmanship inside the home. KB REALLY REALLY REALLY needs to pay better workers to come in and build the homes. You guys would save so much money in the long run. Stop thinking so short-term with your costs and just think what a glowing review we’d have left you if your craftsmanship would’ve been better. Also, if the home would’ve actually been completed in a timely fashion instead of thrown together at the last minute so you could make your closing goal for the month. We love our homesite and community, and the repairs will be completed in time, but we just wish KB would care more about the homes they are building. Get rid of your cheap labor and pay your people better so you get better quality workers in your homes. Foreign workers or not, don’t scrape the bottom of the barrel to save a buck, you’re now going to pay for it on the back end anyway. Not smart business, and not at all good for customer service. Your Superintendent Grant and Project Manager Justin have been awesome and responsive to our concerns, but they can’t fix shoddy craftsmanship because they can’t watch every homesite daily to catch the bad work. STOP SACRIFICING QUALITY TO SAVE A BUCK. It’ll be what I tell anyone who asks me if they should consider KB Homes; they sacrifice quality to make money. Build with them at your own risk. ... More

Life happens and I had to sell my previous KB home (Kauffman & Broad back then) of almost 26 years. So now, the hunt for a new home began. I visited 3 other builders and found myself coming back to KB. Thenchoices and options outnumbered the competition and not to mention the quality of build. It's unfortunate the housing market was so hot that I overpaid for the size of house I purchased, however it was what it was. Ultimately I'm happy and hope that the rest of my neighborhood remains nice.

If you use your own lender, and not KB's preferred lender, they will not negotiate price of the house nor will they pay any closing costs on behalf of the buyer. We're an active duty military family and it didn't matter because we wouldn't use their lender. Take note that this is how they treat military. So once we told KB Home we would not be using their preferred lender everything went downhill. We weren't treated like serious buyers even though our lender was waiting on KB to provide information to be able to give us the clear to close only one week after going into contract. Our lender had a hard time getting that information. It took them weeks of multiple emails and phone calls to finally get the requested information. And we were told as much that we were treated that way because we used our own lender. Again, buyers take note. Further, the communication between the sales rep, construction manager, and sales office is horrible at best. The project manager didn't even know we were in contract for the house until the week before closing. We were stonewalled at getting our inspector in on time for our projected close date at which KB told us if we waived the inspection they could close on our requested date. Shady but we insisted on our inspection and closing was delayed. Fortunately, we have an amazing lender that was able to extend our locked rate without us having to pay to extend. After closing, things got even worse and it has been a headache working with the construction crew to get blue tape items fixed. We're six weeks into our home and still have blue tape items not addressed along with the other items that the construction crew was supposed to fix but ended up making them worse. And I haven't even touched on the quality and craftsmanship of the house itself. There's so much more that I could write a dissertation on all of the issues, why we wouldn't buy another KB home, and would never recommend them to anyone. ... More

Outstanding experience, the KB Homes team worked tirelessly to make this possible! The support, guidance, and assistance they provided me was above and beyond what would have be normally expected. I have some honorable mentions that must be singled out for their exemplary dedication and outstanding customer service…. To Susan, she was my initial contact with KB Homes, which not only helped me select the model I now call my forever home, she also stood by my family throughout the entire process, and even after we moved in to our home, she still keeps in contact to make sure we are doing ok. To Doug, who guided me through the monumental task of providing the proper documentation to satisfy the requirements needed to qualify for a KB Home, to Jacki, the numbers guru who made sure everything was in order with the loan, and finally to Don, who made sure that everything in my house was up to par, and made necessary corrections on requesting. He consistent checked to make sure we had everything we needed.
