Tom was good at helping me with my walk through. He also was patient in answering all of my questions regarding caring for items in my home. As for the rest of it- I wish my buying experience only on my enemy or my ex. Everything is a RUSH! Politeness is out the door when questions are asked. I did not design my house, but I love it. However, there are things that I missed in the walk thru, even though I couldn't change at that point, that are weird in design and for homeowners to deal with daily. Maybe this will help the builder and the next buyer: the counter is far out in the primary shower that it doesn't allow you to have space to step out of the water's range while taking a shower. It has been more than two months since closing, and instead of doing the things we would like to in and on our home, we spend our weekends taking care of workmanship issues. In the last two weekends, we removed and repaired drawer glides in the last cabinet installed in our master bath, and yesterday fought off an ant invasion because there are gaps 1" wide between the siding and the foundation. There's no telling what we're going to find next, so we have set our expectations to zero. We're also redoubling our efforts to find what workmanship issues remain, but it will probably take an entire year to find them all. We have collected a lot of notes, e-mails, and photos, and once we do find all we can in this first year, we intend to write a report we to send to every name we can find at KB Homes about our own unique home-buying experience. ... After closing customer service has been horrible. 10-day visit work has been pending for 8 months. Hate how you deal with customers post-closing

Its average experience with my purchase

We are hoppy to move in to our new house, unfortunately there are still alot of thing need to be done. My tip is to hire a private inspector and a realtor when purchasing a home, brand new or not. Make sure you dont need to rush on your closing date so that the builder will finish everything before moving in.

Hello! Everything has been great so far.

3 months delay caused a closing on a higher interest rate. Finishing wasn't that good. Everything in the house is a standard and you have to pay to upgrade, upgrades only cost me $31k. Little details could make difference and help me save money such as adding a towel hanger next to the shower. But one employee can change your experience and I have to thank the superintendent Bobby who delivered my house, he is super nice and professional.

Well............from the time we signed purchase agreement to move in, in between that period it was ok, it's when the walk through came up...I will stop right here because there is not enough space to leave a review for that. Overall, we are not happy to say the least.

We were very excited about purchasing our new home, and we were told it would take about 9 months, it turned out that it took about 13 months. We were informed as the months and weeks leading up to closing. We defiantly love our new home and can't wait to make it our own.

The sales experience was good. During the build, some issues were brought up and were either VERY slow to address or never addressed at all. Clearly the sub-contractors rushed through their work to go on to the next job at the expense of sloppy, mediocre workmanship. Attention to detail is lacking. Communication was poor, to include nearly non-existent follow-up. Maybe this is all KB specific, or maybe it is industry wide with all the big builders. Either way, KB could do so much better by simply hiring a construction manager who was competent, organized, and communicates often and well.

The house has been occupied since January 2023, and still no usage of Solar System. Shame om KB Homes and SunPower with their poor quality of service. Nobody cares after we have bought the house!!

Overall, KB Homes did a good job of helping us to move into our new home. I do wish the material/workmanship was better, but most issues have been fixed. Consequently, we are glad to be in our new home.

Everything was going smoothly and satisfyingly until closing approached. After multiple last-minute delays to closing, we felt rushed into forking our money over, and then we were promised that any remaining issues at the home would be addressed shortly with wording like, 'right now', 'later today', or 'tomorrow'. More often than not, this was not the case, and it felt like we were taken for a ride. Seemed like they got our money, and then forgot about us. Took over 2 months post-closing to get almost all of the issues addressed, in what could've taken a week or two, at most, for nearly every item, with coordinate effort. Bad quality interiors like floors and paint

The overall experience was bumpy… we started the process oct 2021 and didn’t close until Dec 2022. Which, in that period of time had no contact with anyone to update on the status of the home process. And, the closing date was moved multiple time. It took me driving by the house everyday from the time the slab was started until it was basically close to completion. Then I started getting updates that weren’t updates, they were pictures from old work. I dove by and walked through the house everyday getting my own updates and seeing progress. The process of getting the loan finalized and necessary paper work done was a breeze, Kim was fantastic. Up to the days getting closer to closing, I feel like a lot of work on the house was getting rushed and quality was going down keeping us from closing in time. Our construction manager was awesome! He did a great job trying to keep everything under control. Closing went smooth, we were told that they would do a one month follow up and come through and touch up paint and fix stuff that needed addressed, that never happened. Fast forward to Jan 23, we developed a water leak in the kitchen above the sink on the ceiling. Called warranty and they were on it. ... More

From start to finish KB took care of us. No complaints.

It seems like I am living in a dream world. My home is so welcoming and nice, also the neighborhood is great.
