About a 12 month process, supposed to be 10. Lots of items not complete upon close, some still not corrected. Supposed to have a 30 day follow up, but have not heard from anyone

House came out decent. A lot of things where rushed. Dry wall was rushed, painting was rushed and even the cabinet install was rushed. Now these are all Issues that are being addressed with warranty. I just don’t understand how things were so rushed yet the house took a full year to build. Before the pandemic houses would take 5-6months. That and a lot of the workers used were under the table paid and illegal. Specially The painters. And the kitchen island wall has waves in it and not straight because it was rushed as well. Some of the vents for AC are crooked as well because it was rushed. I won’t get answers and I’m already in the house and things are getting fixed. But with all the delays and extra time they had to do the house these things should not have been rushed. That and I also had broken roofing tiles. ... More

Valerie in the sales office is wonderful. She is always helpful, researched if there was a question and was so responsive.

We were so excited to design and build our new home. The sales and design center teams were great. Everything after that went downhill. Our superintendent ignored every single communication I sent, items were installed or built incorrectly despite me regularly notifying the superintendent, and closing got delayed the morning of our final walkthrough, when I had flown back in the night before just for this process. So disappointed with KB. We still have broken, incorrect and missing items over two months from closing, with absolutely no communication from KB regarding when they will address these issues. ... Overall it was a memorable and happy experience.

We moved into our new townhome in early Sept. Overall, the price we paid for the square footage/location was reasonable considering inflation and the housing market. The KB sales team is also a pleasure to work with. However, we have ran into multiple issues with our new home (including a major water leak from the bottom of our master shower which is resulting in our entire shower having to be re-done (tile ripped, new base pan, rotting wood in ceiling, etc). We have also experienced smaller issues such as pilling carpet on the stairway and a loose doorknob. The warranty team is attempting to resolve the issues however it is still very frustrating as a homeowner of a brand new home. I do want to give a shout-out to Jenny from the sales team at Liberty Station. She is always checking in on us to see how we are doing even months after closing on the home. Overall, recommend KB however we are not the only townhome in the neighborhood experiencing issues with our home. (Others experiencing appliance issues, etc.) ... More

Our experience with KB Homes has been bad. As new homeowner you come in with an expectation to later be disappointed. If you are looking for quality, this should not be your first option.

I really did enjoy our entire home buying experience. Everything from the sales, financing, contractor, and believe it or not, even the closing process. The area we chose is very peaceful and quiet, we love the scene driving to and from work. The home elevations are very beautiful and the floor plans are awesome and very functional. The reason I gave 4 stars for quality it is not because of the materials used, it is simply because it just seems that towards the end, things were done in a rush and there's a lot of areas that could've used more attention and detail. Just makes it look like you're not the first person to live in the home. Not something you want as a first time homebuyer. Hoping that it is nothing a few touch ups can't fix. The Kb team responded quickly to our concerns. A water leak was discovered before closing that was addressed quickly. Another water leak was discovered upon inspection. Inspection showed the water pressure regulator, for our new home, is not working and the actual water pressure is double the normal one. We reported that to Kb. 2 Toilet tanks were cracked and leaking. One was replaced quickly. Plumbing contractor tried to address the other one in different ways resulting in more leaks and delays. Almost 2 weeks later, we found that the water pressure regulator was not fixed and the pressure was around 120. The Kb team was responsive but their plumbing contractor was really bad and negligent. ... More

Process was easy, but having a hard time to get someone to come out and fix or correct issues when I get out from work. No one is willing to help other than Monday- Friday 8 am-4pm. Which is usually the same time I have to work.

This is our first time buying a home, so we don't have much to go off of. Our experience could have been better. We did have a long delay on our house due to A/C ducting shortage. I do NOT recommend using their preferred lender. We did not know our actual close date till 3 days before. That was very stressful due to getting off of work last minute. Over all it was a stressful experience, but it could have been worse. On a good note Reggie and Rocky have been very responsive and helpful since we were introduced during the building process.

Sales Brad, great to work with. Walkthrough, Ryan was excellent and really wanted to deliver the new home in perfect. Condition. Warranty, Heather was very responsive and helpful. Just about the only negatives were more related to the home plan and landscaping. 3 car garage is tiny, really a 2 1/2 car. Also. It's ridiculous not to have a side yard access door from the garage. I would have rather received a credit for landscaping rather than have the bare bones job as installed by the builder. We tore about half of the provided landscaping out. As the first person to move into this community, I can responsibly say that everyone is very nice. Very enthusiastic. Helped us with a lot of difficulties. Also provided us with very much help. I can say that I watched them build up this community little by little. The speed and the neatness of the work are very much recognized. Thank you very much.

My superintendent, Stacy, is really good at communication and organization. She kept up with every phase of the building process and communicated it to me. Every Friday, she contacted me with text messages and pictures of the progress made that week. Even though I was out of state, I felt like I was there seeing each phase. In addition, Stacy would call me to explain items or to answer my questions. She is really responsive to buyers. Spencer was also so helpful. Again, I purchased this home seeing it once during the building process. Therefore, I had many questions for Spencer. He always answered my questions courteously and in a timely manner, even when he had to resend data and pictures. When I thought this purchase might fall through, Spencer was there to assure that everything was ok. I appreciate both these professionals! ... More

My experience with KB sales was great! From the first time we meet David from sales he welcome us and walk us through the whole process from start to finish. He keep in touch and would respond in a timely manner. Juan was our construction manager and would keep us up to date on the work being done on a weekly basis. They gained our trust with keeping to their word on what they were doing and the time frame they where working with. On days there was a delay he contacted us immediately and would follow up with updates. We where able to visit the home site on a regular basis and we where alway greeted and welcome to view the home by Juan or David. Mario help prepare our home with finishing touch’s ready for the walkthrough process. Mario followed up before and after we moved in. He made sure we where happy with the home. Both Juan and Mario addressed concerns we had and fixed items as they arise. We are in love with our beautiful home we love all the items we chose to upgrade Shannon from the design studio really brought our vision to reality. ... More

It was disappointing that there was water leaking in the walls after we closed. We had to live with holes in our walls for a couple weeks after that. We originally were given an upgraded oven because of backorder issues but the day of closing, a worker broke the glass so we had to be downgraded to what we originally going to get. Understandable but I wish we could have kept that upgraded model. Not all the holes were sealed and there was exposed wood that had to be dealt with after closing as well. We worked with some great people but wish we didn't have to go through all that trouble after closing. Zach was super responsive and we appreciated his help. ... More

While buying a home is stressful KBHS has been very receptive with minor repairs. Good folks and beautiful home.
