Loved working with salesman named Mark G but didn't like working with other salesman after he retired. Superintendents quickly followup on any concerns

Happy with the overall quality of the home.

Kari, my sales person was great. Everyone was great before closing. But it seems once you close, PM's disappear and don't respond. I have had major issues with doors and paint in my house, it keeps happening and it is very frustrating. The PM, Paul and Shelby in customer claims have been good to work with, but I need this issue to be corrected so that it doesn't happen anymore.

The house was finished on time for closing.

I am VERY happy with the house overall. It is a dream for me, and I love the design, energy efficiency, and open space. It's in a great area. Aside from the insane unpredictability of when the house would be ready (COVID was very hard to work around), the one headache has been all the cosmetic fixes since moving in. You can tell that the work was rushed and attention to detail was not the priority. I could point you to every corner of the house where lines are not straight, paint was done too quickly, marks / chips everywhere, etc. The only time I felt heard in all this was when a KB customer service rep came to visit the house, and she could see all the the areas of improvement. She assured me that all the vendors would take care of this without me having to look over their shoulders, but that's precisely what I've had to do. I have to field dozens of calls from different vendors for very specific areas of the house (different people for painting, floors, counters, cabinets, AC, security, etc. etc. etc.). And each time someone shows up, I have to point out extremely specific paint splatters, chips, etc...I cannot rely on anyone to actually assess the area and be proactive about addressing every tiny detail. Living alone with a full time job, it's extremely difficult for me to find the time to, essentially...babysit every vendor / contractor who comes through the door. I wish that the KB rep who visited me would take the reins and coordinate every single person and oversee that the cosmetic fixes are top notch. It was great, it seemed like we went from having a dream to having exactly what we wanted in a brief period. Everyone made it simple, thank you.

Had to give a bad review before we could get a response to issues that needed to be addressed. Project Manager and Asst. Project Manager were not on the same page as one would say one thing about the work that need to be done and the other would say something else. They gave you the feeling that when you called about a problem that needed to be addressed that you were only a complainer.

What an adventure getting into our new home. There were a few bumps but we manage to get through it. Just wish we could of locked in our interest rate sooner. Sebrina and Nora were great to work with. Sebrina sent picture updates as things were getting done. Nora, resolved every lending issue and communicated with us often. Looking at our home from the outside was everything we expected. But during our walkthrough there were many flaws I noticed and some after getting settled in. With the time KB took to build our home these issues should have been seen and fixed. We've reached out to KB warranty the issues will be looked and hopefully resolve. Have a back up lender if you’re using KBHS. I was declined at last minute and so disappointed. Thanks to my lender, Chase. Plan to do some touch ups. Here and there. No new home is perfect I heard but I believe brand new home should do much better. After all I love my NEW home and people I work with at KB are great.

Once I moved in I started to see some poor craftsmanship on the drywall nothing major but irritating to look at. Over all good starter home

My experience with kb home we have to look first home and shoap home because model house and shopping house is different . When we purchased house their is every thing simple and we have to upgrade more thing in house .and invest more money

When it comes to anything getting fixed after your 10 day walkthrough, forget about it. I will never recommend KB home to anyone.

Problems not fixed before closing Included failure to install the garage door opener inside the garage. One was installed approximately 30 days after closing. A crack in the cement pad on the driveway noted prior to closing and photographed. Still not fixed. Damage to siding in three places is still not fixed.

Though buying a brand new house and waiting for it to be finally ready can be stressful due to not having a firm completion date, my overall experience has been positive. All involved were professional, knowledgable, and responsive in a timely fashion. I was kept up on the progress and asked frequently if I had questions or concerns. I am enjoying my home and look forward to spending many years here.

There's very little I would recommend here. The experience was horrible. Still fixing issues with poor craftsmanship.

Wonderful experience from start to finish.

Overall quality of workmanship is poor. Especially the paint job. The floor is covered with paint drops. Nothing was fixed after 2 walk through. Get the run around and excuses. Windows are getting discolored. List is too long. The list was emailed to KB representatives.

I love my new home. However, it seems that in an effort to complete construction by deadlines (if there are any), corners were cut. There wasn't much attention to detail. Specifically, there were, and still are, MANY carpet staples/tacks sticking out resulting in numerous minor injuries. One light fixture was missing. A few spring door stops were also missing. There were small paint spots on the flooring. Irrigation in the front yard leaked. Most of these issues were remedied after notifying customer service. There may be other issues that are yet to be discovered (hopefully not). All in all, nice. I'm just worried about how the recent heat wave will affect the workers and in turn the quality of construction on current builds. ... More

My loan officer Vanessa Francis was beyond amazing. I loved working with her, she was the only reason I didn’t pull out of my deal. I’ll never purchase another KB home.

We love our new home and are very happy with it. There were some delays along the way that could have been handled much better or avoided all together. Considering the climate of the economy being upfront, honest, and fully transparent about the time it will take to complete the home is essential. 15-18 months is a realistic timeline and knowing this upfront would have saved us a lot of money and stress. For those buying once you are in your home it is all worth it, but prepare for it to take over a year to complete and you won’t be disappointed.

The administrative side of things (studio visit and sales agents) we're great. Couldn't ask for an easier experience! Sales agents and our loan officer were absolutely FANTASTIC. KB is a reputable company but I was disappointed in the quality of the home. The longer we're here, the more we see paint that doesn't match, drywall repairs that were never fully repaired, and walls or base that isn't/aren't straight. Paint isn't a huge issue...I have almost ten years of experience in the paint world that I can fix these issues myself, they're just cumbersome. The nails and trash in our backyard, I'll never understand. We had to pick them all up ourselves and luckily we didn't step on one. They were EVERYWHERE as if workers threw them carelessly. I will say, when our hood was collapsing over our stove, someone fixed it right away. The super and all those working for KB have been great. I can't stress that enough. I understand these homes are built fast and efficiently, but I guess we were just expecting better quality. The shower rod that was placed in the guest bath wasn't actually on properly and was missing hardware. We purchased a new one ourselves. Overall, we're happy to just own a home in California. For the size of this community, we wished there was more help after the sales. It’s hard for one person to manage the responsibilities and needs of so many new home buyers in a timely manner.

Vanessa and George have been/are great, very attentive and professional. We are very happy with the customer service they provide. This review is mostly for them. Aside from George and Vanessa, we have had to be very proactive throughout the process to ensure things are getting done, from loans to post closing.
