My experience was so stress free and fluid from the very beginning. Carla our sales agent always managed to address our questions and concerns quickly and Robert the construction superintendent was always available for follow ups as well as Gus who finished up with the completion of our installations inside our home. Of course the highlight of my experience was the design studio appointment with Stephanie. She allowed my husband and myself to take our time choosing our upgrades and everything with ease. It was a phenomenal team and we are so pleased that after taking tours of all the builders we made the right choice with KB homes! We were the first couple to close with KB homes on February 26, 2026 in the Sandal Key community and look forward to forming new friendships and making lasting memories at the new up and coming lagoon! From our salesman to the LO and our studio crew. Everything seems like yesterday. Our salesman had a lot of knowledge and after touring several builders, KB was our too choice.

Gene was wonderful in communicating and getting the information we need. Was very experienced and knowledgeable when touring the homes. Was transparent on everything. Neal the lender was wonderful and very communicative. Chase was wonderful in walking us through on what is needed for the home and if anything issues did come up. I would do this again with KB.

Over all everything was great. Ian and Marshall was really helpful and patient. Thanks them 2 for helping me and make the process went smoothly.

We made an offer on our home at a slightly lower price than asking because the sales agent (licensed ?) implied that it may be accepted. We were the last couple to come in that night and somehow they had another offer first thing the next morning at asking price. We decided to keep looking at other houses. We went to another KB Homes development, but didn’t like the area as much. We told the sales person at that location that we liked the house at the Federal Way location better. We were told the house we wanted was no longer available and they wouldn’t have any other homes in that community any time soon. She seemed perplexed and said “I think they still have some availability”. She then said she would double check for us. She checked and wouldn’t you know, the house we made an offer on was still available. We were upset but still wanted the house so our realtor worked his magic and the next thing we knew KB Homes accepted our offer at a small price increase over our original offer. Now the struggle comes. The front door was hung wrong and told them that before we moved in. We were assured it will be fixed. You couldn’t tell there was still a problem when we moved in because it was winter, cloudy and raining. On the first semi clear day around 3 in the afternoon, you could see daylight coming through the top, bottom right and left side of the door. The gap was egregious. We sent pictures in and KB sent someone out to fix it. Well the first fix did nothing! I called back and said the issue still hadn’t been resolved. The decided to send out a contractor. He told us the door was installed poorly and he need to cut through the framing and siding. So he attempted to fix it. We were put out for two days. The problem still wasn’t fixed, so the warranty guy came out and messed around with it (he used a different type of wedge) and assured us once again the door was fixed. After about 3 days when the sun was facing our door we noticed the issued still hadn’t been resolved. We told our warranty guy that the only time you can tell there is an issue is in the afternoon when the sun is shining on the front door. Alas, he sent someone over again at 8 in the morning and once again assured me the issue was fixed because he used a flashlight to simulate the sun. The problem is still there and lots of air comes through our front door. I don’t trust KB to fix this issue anymore. We are going to hire our own door company to assess what needs to be done to fix the door and give us an estimate. The door that KB has tried to fix many times over, has been scraped and banged up. I want a new door at this point. We will start litigation if that’s what KB wants. It’s a simple issue that should have been fixed over 2 months ago! ... More

We love our new KB home. From start to finish it has been fantastic working with KB home staff. From the initial home tours to obtaining a home loan the staff at KB have been amazing and helpful. We feel very well taken care of and love our new home and community.

I was most impressed on how quickly they help us on a model, design, and the did all the follow up work to help us decide.

I want to send a shout out to Hope and Heather for assisting me and helping me accomplish my goal. They were 110% supportive always took my phone calls and coached me with really good advice for the first time. I actually felt like somebody was on my team and it feels really good when you’re going through the process of purchasing a home thank you Heather and Hope, you guys are amazing. I couldn’t have done it without you guys.

With a few hiccups long the way that is expected in a home building/buying experience it has been good. One thing to note that I didn't previously is that I was surprised that KB did not provide a microwave or garage door opener. I would expect that a basic microwave would be included and then upgraded would be available but apparently not.

We are very pleased with the comfort and quality of our new home. Great location, good quality materials and very good responsiveness from our building manager.
