Starting from Sales, the KBHome staff kept us updated about the development. The KBHome finance was a disappointment as they took all the documents, checked my credit score but they were not able to come with a lower rates compared to external vendors. The after sales staff were also great. They were very prompt in their actions. Only thing they could do here is to better accomodate our requests within our timelines. I do agree that most of the staff gets allocated to various works but I felt that for the work that we had in our place and for the experience the contractors who were working in my house for the issues, they could have done within our requested timeline. I overall had a good experience with KB homes. Michelle and Holly with KB loans are both amazing. They’re diligent and quick to respond. They deserve more than 10 stars. Our home is so beautiful. Truly appreciate Louis, Tyler and their entire team for their hard work. We had a setback with our house finishing on time but Louis and Tyler worked hard to get us in our house sooner. I also appreciated Louis keeping us updated on pending orders while making sure we were content with everything. KB homes also has a 10 year warranty which I didn’t have with my old builder. Being able to pick design details really makes the home buying experience that more exciting at KB

unfortunately we had to wait longer than originally indicated, there are several observations that you will only be able to see until you live in the house, the person who does the landscape did a poor quality job but being a contractor we do not know what agreements they reach with Kbhomes for the elaboration of the work and what materials they will occupy, on the other hand, take the time to measure the surfaces of each room so that you are sure that your furniture has the necessary space, If you are one of those who uses your garage as a warehouse, you will not have a problem, but if you use your garage for what it is intended for, I will tell you that the garages are small and a family van is at the limit, making it very difficult to walk through the garage if necessary. and opening the trunk becomes a bit complicated task Finally, I would advise you not to minimize any detail before moving to your new home and make this purchase a pleasant experience. ... We loved our experience! This is a small amount of room to grow.

Always be proactive with every move of the building process. If we did not point out things it would not be fixed until it was too late. Gary was a great project Manger once he took over towards the end of our building. This was very stressful and just could but surrender trust with KB because of all the issues with the first PM. Things were not disclosed fully until we noticed things.

Everyone was very helpful with our home buying experience.

We love our neighborhood and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at KB as we worked through the process of buying a townhouse and moving from out of state. It was definitely a tricky process because of supply chain delays, but in the end, everything worked out well, and we are happy with our community. KB has a great warranty / follow-up program to make sure any issues are well resolved long after we've signed off on the house.

The experience overall was good, there were some issues with the home after it was built. One of the big ones was the home being properly sealed.

Negatives 1)Closing delayed several times required to sign agreement to sell prior home in order to purchase this one. 2)Construction disorganized no quality control measures in place excessive warranty service tickets needed. 3) Made living in active construction area very unpleasant this is my third new build and by far the worst experience so far. Trash bins not emptied regularly even malodorous at times trash and other debris frequently blown into driveway and yard. 4)Trades continually parking behind home blocking driveway. David and his crew have been always available for issues we’ve encountered during our first month and still are doing there best to finish issues that are pending patience is a must and they will make everything good we are extremely happy

We love our new KB home. The upgrades are done well and the craftmanship is great. The sales team and construction managers are great and easy to work with and are with you every step of the way and help even when your home is done and you're all moved in.

Jose (Superintendent) from Construction answer all my questions and accommodate me at all times. Very knowledgeable and professional. Overall, I highly recommend KB Home!

I bought a house with KBHOMES in Feb,2022. And everything breaks in my house every week and when you email or call . They don’t respond. I regret buying home from KBhome my kitchen cabinet fall off and they haven’t fix for 2months. My garage door is broken and I message and call No response. I wish I have done my research before going with KBHOMES. Very bad experience

Just really stay on top of your house being built

Glen, Jeanette, Eric were all awesome throughout the entire process. They all made everything so simple and easy and we’re always available whenever needed.

To make it short and sweet.... An overall lack of organization and comunication. Theres no follow through, one issue after another. Two months after move in and theres still things to be installed or repaired in the home. I was hoping for a good experience but sadly KB and its proyect managers did not meet my expectations. I wanted to be in love with my house and at the end I regretted my desition. I would not buy KB Home again.

Overall, my home buying experience was good (said with mixed feelings). I think having been in my house for a bit, I was able to think about things, the process, what I was happy and unhappy with, etc. As of this writing, interest rates are almost 6% and I was able to get a pre-spec'd home before rates got out of control. I think I left this experience feeling, only okay. Here is why: Sales was great. KBHS (in-house lender) was great. But buying such an expensive home, I was thinking I would be able to modify somethings to give it a more personalized touch. Nope - things were really set in stone. I was given some closing costs credits (so long as I went with KBHS) and there was a lot discount. I jokingly asked for more as rates were on the rise and I couldn't lock for 30 or 60 days out but I was made to feel ungrateful that I got what I got cause no one else got extra incentive (it was only $5k more). The crazy thing is anyone buying a home now as of late June - you hear people getting $15-40K or builders buying down rates for buyers since no one is buying homes now. I actually had to use my credits to buy down the rate. So while people are getting bought down rates ( by Lennar, TriPoint, Seeno, etc - I don't know what or IF KB is offering anything since they don't advertise it). Albeit, while I should in theory have a lower rate than what is offered now, I think its a minimal difference and buyers today can get a home spec'd to their liking. So I question if I should of waited? cause I don't LOVE my home as you should. I like it, I am appreciative to own a home. But I'm having to spend MORE money now to fix things I don't like about it doesn't feel right. Quality of workmanship, Value for price paid: having bought a pre-spec'd home, I was essentially paying for what someone at the design center chose, and I so wish I could redo what they did because the style is just not modern at all (Think Grandma's house). Quality? I've had a few contractors come by for bids to fix things and builders like KB contract a lot of these jobs so people come in, do a job, next home. Guest bath - was called out that they should of caulked the shower. A exterior house painter said my down drain pipe was twisted and took me to similar homes saying theirs was fine. My AC unit is crooked and missing brackets for the cable. The list goes on but it doesn't make me feel great knowing my house wasn't to par. Responsiveness to issues. So far, its been good. Whenever I catch something, the warranty guy will get something on the books for something to be fixed. So now I just feel bad to call them up to fix things the contractors have called out. But they have been great to deal with. Basically, value for price paid...I feel like my home should of been less. Also, random side discovery, I always assumed all homes had 8 feet ceilings on 2nd floors (my parents home of the 80's did)...BUT with colleagues buying now, Lennar, Senno, TriPoint-Point, etc offer 9' ceilings both up and downstairs (And lets be honest, some offer smart door bells, Wifi mesh systems, Better more modern looking cabinets in colors) for around the same price of what I paid. I wish I had taken more time to look to be honest. The Value isn't there as I reflect. I know its trivial to some but 9' ceilings feel more grand (I am also a tall individual). Overall, I feel very mixed about this home buying experience. Should I have waited? Builders are giving you more NOW with higher rates BUT are also offering lower rate incentives they must be paying for. Honestly, do your due diligence and really look for a home you love. Buying a home, it's an emotional experience. It's an expensive one. Make sure you LOVE your home. Emotions and rising rates got the best of me. Was service great with KB? Yea. no one has a crystal ball on how rates would be or what builders would be scrambling to do now to keep buyers from pulling out of contract. Read reviews, watch review videos. I would recommend buyers to be aware of KB homes, they have put my families safety at risk knowingly but selling us base level carpet which has sharp tacks sticking out from it. I have had a number of issues with the new home, damaged cabinets, sliding door not closing properly, bad fence, door handles coming off, cracked windows and the list goes on. I have tried getting answers but they have not been keen or polite in response. We have had 1 walk through through out the build by a person who does not reply to any calls or questions. I highly caution you on your build and please hire a private inspector throughout the process do not rely on KB Homes to be honest. ... More
