Overall a great buying experience.

Overall the process was a little rocky and communication was not always the strong suit of KB Homes. Solar Panels were a requirement but initial signing of documents and discussion with sales office indicated they were optional (our realtor confirmed they were optional for us), and was only later revealed as required very offhandedly during a random drop-in at the model homes. This was a very expensive thing to suddenly have to consider and seeing as this law was passed before we even visited the site and considered purchasing, seemed like a big oversight on the sales office. We also met some other homebuyers and they talked about how they were hit with the solar panels after, so we know it was our visit that caused the sales office to realize their very big error on that front and reach out to other buyers in our phase. Our home design session was also somewhat stressful; we scheduled an in-person appointment because there was no deadline, and then found out that the deadline had been set, our appointment was after it, and all in-person appointments were booked leading up to our deadline. Luckily accommodations were made but seemed like another oversight that added undue stress. We were also told we would receive updates on the progress of the house but never did. There were three site visits we were supposed to have, two optional and then the final walkthrough which was mandatory. For the first optional one we weren't contacted for it until well after the foundation had been laid. We were never contacted for our second optional walkthrough. Also after moving in we were supposed to have 10 and 30-day follow-ups and had to reach out ourselves to get the 10 day follow-up. Overall seems like we keep falling through the cracks in the communication tree. Probably the biggest error was escrow: we were called and given a very firm close date about 6 weeks ahead of time. This caused us to lock our interest rate with our lender and set about opening up an insurance policy and lining everything up. A few weeks later we learned that the close was pushed, which with supply chain issues is understandable but seemed like a pretty big oversight on the sellers side to move us along into escrow when there seemed like a high chance it wouldn't be done on time. When told about the delay no info, no explanation was supplied. Ended up being delayed over 2 months, luckily we had a place to live while waiting but overall this whole process was not handled well by anyone on the KB Homes side. But we are in the home and we do love it. We are comfortable and happy and overall do not regret all the trials and errors we went through to get here. I will say whenever we talk with our construction liaison they are very friendly, helpful, and responsive. Usually we hear back relatively quickly on any concerns we have, and any little things in the house that needed repairing has been addressed very quickly. So at the end of the day we are happy, but the process to get here was marred by poor communication by the sales office along the way. ... More

I appreciated the excessivly friendly and cordial demeaner of the people I interacted with. Which set me up to be extremely DISAPPOINTED when my repeated attempts to get Jossie to help me access my mailbox failed. I emailed her twice to ask which mailbox is mine. The first she said it was written in the envelope and, when I said I had thrown it away, basically said there was nothing she could do. I called her and she continued. I got angry that she would not tell me how to resolve the issue. I made several threats to give bad reviews, and she responded that it was my fault for throwing away the envelope. She claimed that she had told me that. I DO NOT remember that. Why would I throw the envelope away if it was the only way I could find out my mailbox number? I continued to threaten her. Then she finally gave me the phone number of the lovely lady that helped me get the number. So why did I have to threaten bad reviews just to get her job? Sales office was good and guided us through the process.

I lost $70K because of KB Lender. Long story but just saying stay away from the KB Mortgage!!!

Super intendant promised some items and gifts he was going to add to the house because we were so patient with them and at the end didn't get anything. Oh and the garage concrete was finished horribly. Looks like they didn't have finishers and just had laborers do a bad job

KB has a great team to serve the customers’ needs before and after purchasing a home. When there are issues, they completed them diligently. Overall, we are satisfied with KB’s services and would recommend them.

Buying a home with kb was truly an amazing experience. Even though we had several material shortages due to the pandemic, our home was built on a timely manner and it was well worth the wait! Thank you to everyone at kb homes!

KB homes turned the first time homebuying experience which is usually stressful to an enjoyable experience educating us on every step of the process.

Everybody was super helpful throughout the whole process and made this a great experience for us.

Very friendly service. We closed by our projected date with mostly everything fixed as requested by that date. Customer service was great.

Susanna was outstanding. She was in constant communication with me even on her days off. She always responded to my text messages, phone calls, questions, etc. I was always updated with the progress. She sent me pictures of the home as it progresses. Outstanding.

The finish job for the house was not done well. The door knobs kept felling off. Issues with AC. Closing date got pushed back multiple times and never got a confirmed closing date because of that we lost the good interest rate. The team was unresponsive to emails.

The sales team was the best part of buying my KB home. Thanks to LaVon! Always kept us updated with the build. From start to finish.

People help me for first home buyer a lot

I feel respected during the entire process, from initial purchase to final move-in. The quality and value of our new home is good till now (one month after move-in). I think the builder team is professional, and they respond to us promptly.

Thank you for working with us on our concerns on time every time. But i must say the door knobs coming off so far 4 in less than 2 months is not good. I have decided to overlook that i almost gave 4 stars.

KB home is the best house builder.

We had a great experience with KB home team. The team did a great job in making the entire journey smooth and stress free. They were extremely helpful, courteous and provided regular updates during the home building process. The quality of home is great and comes at a fair price. I highly recommend KB Home to everyone.

The Tx loan compared to NY was very frustrating and it took over 5 or more months before they denied me a loan and I had to start all over with a different company kept me anxiety extremely high for the whole tome

I enjoyed all the process, I was updated at every litle step answer all the question . I had. I recommend KBhome to every body. the things I love most is their floor plan I have now all the space needed for my kids.

The staff is lovely and attentive - super kind too! Even after moving in, they're still kind and willing to help at a moment's notice.

I'm very satisfied with my home.
