This could've just been the whole housing market in 2021. Four months after signing, our home was still a dirt pile. But weeks later, foundation was poured, the structure went up fast & filled in soon after. The default paint may scrape off easily in places, but everything else has held up well. Maintenance staff has been helpful around the house too.

There were small details what needed to be improved, I’ve seen homes being built around my home and most seem to have the same issue, back yard it’s all uneven and hard to work on, quality in the materials could be improved too.

My experience with the KB home buying process was good. There were some issues: delays with material, communication and site construction manager. I believe some these issues could have been avoided with better communication. How ever in the end response some of the issues are currently being addressed.

If we didn't call every few days we would have not know any info about our house. We had to stay on top of our build to make sure things were done correctly

Sub standard material and selections were offered based on the price of the house. As an example the primary bathroom vanity cabinets have no drawers for storage, unlike earlier phases and model homes, closet door selection was sub standard as well, they had no real options for stair railing options. I could go on and on these are just a few items I had to start a list because it got that bad. When comparing the KB homes in this community to the KB homes in Irvine (which are priced comparable) the selections and quality are night and day. Early on in the process we did not have the best experience but the builder worked quickly albeit during the peak pandemic period to turn things around. Brought on new staff altogether to meet the demands of the buyers. We were very grateful by the end for the willingness of KB staff to go above and beyond to get things done right. In the end, we would recommend KB Home builder to anyone else in the market for a new home. I think people just need to understand that buying a brand new home is a more complex process than just buying an existing home. Was a very good experience

Buying a home is very stressful but with KB homes staff you are in good hands. The workmanship of our house is phenomenal, the designs & material makes you feel relaxed (at home)..

Great property value for the price paid. Plan 2 unit square feet is very reasonable compared to units in Sunnyvale and Mountain View areas. However, space is not well utilized in design. Quality of workmanship and materials is poor. It almost feels like everything is done in a rush and not well thought. Water is extremely hard - water softener and filtration are additional costs that home owners need to think of.

We love our home, but the process to get into it was frustrating. Putting aside supply chain issues that are out of anyone's control, we were jerked around by KB throughout the construction process and communication was inconsistent. The lender they push you to use had poor customer service. The house wasn't ready at closing, and we're still trying to get the last outstanding issue finished. It felt like they were trying to crank out more homes than they're able to do and we fell into the cracks. It doesn't matter how many times they apologize to me, I still will not recommend this builder.

Being our first home we appreciate the opportunity and the people that helped us through this process.

The finished is perfect and overall pretty good

This was my first experience buying a home and it was ruined. I never got the wow excitement experience because everywhere I looked there was something wrong. Careless things like holes in brand new wall and paint on things that should not have paint on them. The worse issue of all was the worker ate in the unfinished home and left behind a mess a 1 year old child would leave. Additionally, they tried to force me to close on an unfinished home. Twice I went to closing and the bright orange stain from food was still there. In my opinion they stall and take to long fixing things from careless mistakes. I have a hole in one of my bedrooms from a careless plumbing incident. It’s been two weeks and they still haven’t completed the job. When people buy a brand new home they want to move in and relax without interruption. At this point it feels like they or still fixing structural issue that should be addressed during the building period. I would never build another home with KB. ... More

Our first home experience was above what we could have expected. From the sales personnel, to our builder, and loan officer, each and everyone was always responsive, respectful, and always there to help us out with any questions or concerns throughout the process. The home came out beautifully and just as we had designed, by far we are 100% happy to have chosen KB Home.

We purchased our first new home. The experience went smoothly throughout the whole process. Our sales report Jodie has been amazing from the first day we came to see the model homes. She kept us updated on the progress of our new construction build. Our Customer Service Rep AJ has been great. No new home is perfect and there were a few very minor items found after the move in, but AJ was on top of things. All those minor issues were resolved in a timely manner. Sonia at the Design Studio provided us great guidance during the selection process as it can be stressful not knowing what to select and if your making the right choice. Kudos to the KB team! The builders and construction workers did a good job considering the Covid 19 delays. They were response to text messages regarding issues with the house, paint, electrical, and general house building issues. The home loan team lacked attention to detail and sent privacy sensitive information to the wrong email address multiple times and never sought to ensure it was the correct person. The design center studio was a terrible experience as well. They made multiple mistakes and placed blame on the home owners in order to avoid discipline from their superiors and chain of command. Protect yourself and verify everything in a redundant way to ensure you investment is what you paid for. ... More

The KB team has been great to work with. The part that hasn’t been the best experience is the quality of craftsmanship that went into the building and finishing of the home but I guess that’s part of the difficulty of todays straining times of workers and who’s available to work. The KB team has been great at trying to make up for the issues that have occurred and that’s awesome!

I absolutely enjoyed working with my team at KB Home Bryan Crossing. Throughout my entire process, everyone made me feel comfortable and treated me as if I were the only customer they had. They, personally, kept me up to date each week regarding the building of my home. AJ, Jacqueline, Julio, Tom, and Jimmy were always there when I called. I'm glad that I entrusted KB Home with the biggest purchase of my life. I wish that everyone could have this experience!!!

The staff at park circle are superb. From Angelina to Jim the supervisor and when I had to escalate the quality issues Rudy the regional supervisor. Everyone has been wonderful. Unfortunately I’ve been in the house two months but only been able to live in the house full time less than three weeks due to several quality control issues. They are resolving and I would definitely recommend KB homes.

The lender was a little frustrating to work with. The military incentives unlike other builders, are tied only to using KB home loans. They also lost my files and wouldn’t needed to pull credit and get all new documents to restart my loan after providing in depth documentation months prior. It was for those reasons I used an outside lender that also had considerably better rates.
