After the key turn over I inspect the house and hvac drip line was not completed, water over filled up on hvac over flow tray. contractors left bottle waters and a mess in the attic(unprofessional workmanship). Sprinkler have a trouble short circuit(took over 2 months for contractors to come out for repair. Flooring have multiple damages in multiple places. Chips, on cabinet/walls, loose trimmings, hood system duct work installation is poor, tub have a crack. No sealant around the sink which caused water to leak down to the bottom emanating the skin, gutter is damaged, windows have a scratch, sliding door to the back yard handle is loose, receptacle and switch does not work as well as electrical Miss wiring and multiple roof tiles are chipped. Contractors unreliable and can not meet on promising dates to come for repairs or no response. ... More

Been waiting for someone to come over and fix things but nobody contacts me to give me a certain time. Disappointed!

Building with KB was a greatly enjoyable experience. Everyone was super friendly and helpful when it came to any questions I had. Through all the out of their control delays due to supply chain I was informed and kept up to date on everything.

KB Home's construction manager always kept me posted on any progress on a weekly basis. He responded my requests in a prompt and professional manner, and, undoubtedly, his high-quality work is in accordance with KB Home's high standards. My whole experience with KB Home was very smooth and comfortable!

From start to finish it was a great experience , all departments were constantly updating on the progress. All my questions were answer quickly. Very happy with the home, very well designed and built. Highly recommend

Still haven't heard back from Carlos who works for KB. Says he is the one we contact for all issues over the next 2 years but we rarely get communication back and when we do it's to tell us a false date and time for the contractor he hired to fix our backyard as it continues to worsen and dates keep getting pushed we have yet to have anyone come out to offer resolution or even assess the yard for what needs to be done.

The sales team is amazing! We worked Bailey and she was so attentive to our needs. Because of her I would buy another KB home. Our house is beautiful and we are happy with it. Scheduling for fixes during our 30-day warranty check in has been a struggle and there needs to be some improvement there. All-in-all we have been happy.

Supervisor/Foreman of the construction are always available if you need them, they provide you update on your property from ground zero to they finish the house. Provide a complete orientation to your house. Can count on them even after the the house is done. after

The whole team at Piney Creek bend are way too get along with and always knew the information if we had questions, or they got the answers quickly. You can tell they enjoy their jobs and were always happy to help or answer any questions. Being our first home, I didn't know what to expect, but the horror stories I've heard from other builders seem outlandish given just how good this team has been. I have nothing but good things to say about KB and the team, I've even actively encouraged people to seek out KB neighborhoods for their homes, because I've had such a great experience! Good experience for first home

Smooth Process with KB end to end.

Even though the homes at Solano were priced at $1.5M-$1.7M, which are pretty nice single family homes even for Irvine, we felt like the KB homebuying experience was more in line with what one would expect from condos/townhomes well below the $1M mark. It was NOT a luxury homebuying experience. DESIGN CENTER The design options at the Design Center were way too limited for homes at this price point and not high quality or at the level of luxury that is warranted by homes at this price point. Also, the Design Center was understaffed on the Leonard's front and the process not too manual. This led to numerous mistakes that carried over into the installation of our upgraded materials. How about using a bar code system for our upgrade selections rather than manually entering them into the computer / relaying it to another person? CONSTRUCTION There were numerous mistakes made by both KB installers, as well as the sub-contractors (Leonard's, Excel Cabinets). The builder grade materials are not much better than what a buyer could get a Home Depot. There's no pride in the workmanship. Many walls aren't straight. The painting was rushed and there are marks in the walls. The edges of doors are not smooth. Items like the toilets and toilet paper holders were not installed in the optimal spot in the bathrooms. There are gaps in the wood floors and on the kitchen backsplash. Grout and caulking are applied sloppily. My kitchen island countertop was initially installed at a diagonal. It looks like the installers came back and straightened it out, BUT in so doing, they simply removed cabinet panels and re-installed them leaving nail marks very visible. COMMUNICATIONS I believe that the Solano team (Sales, Design Center, Superintendent) met every Monday, but for some reason, the communications were not always aligned on timelines. This led to us paying for an appraisal too early in the process and that was wasted money. We were kept apprised of all timelines moving, and appreciated the KB team's flexibility in terms of fixing items in time for us to close, but we went all the way down to the wire with our lender and closed on the last possible day once final inspections were done. ... Love our new home. It’s beautiful. Wish we could’ve had better landscaping considering how much we spend. No printer system in the back. I understand people chose not to have grass in the back, but apply a credit if they opt out. Thank you.

I got my keys to my house on October 22, 2021. My escrow was delayed for two months because KB could not finish building my home on time. I had to get two extensions from my lenders. Once I got my keys two months later, I started doing improvements to my house. I found out that there was a lot of things that was wronged with my new home. For example: 1) I got shocked from the electricity up in the attic because the light switch was not inside of the electricity box. 2) the tiles on my roof was broken and not correctly aligned with the house. 3) the fire sprinklers wasn't correctly secure, the fire sprinklers' caps was lose and falling off the ceiling. 4) My rain gutter keeps leaking from the joints. 5) Master bedroom shower wasn't caulk properly, lots of missing caulk. 6) cabinets trim was coming off because it was loose. 7) my ceiling drywall has cracked in it. 8) light fixtures on my garage wasn't level or center. 9) electricity outlet in one of my room doesn't work. 10) My master bedroom bathroom had a hairline crack. 11) my windows sill paint was coming off. That's some of the problems I'm having Kb builder. However; Brian (area construction manager) did come out to my house to discuss and address all my problems and concerns.
