Love the house but had to wait 7 months for the build. Other houses in the neighborhood have gone up much faster. Like KB Home better than other builders in the area.

The house is built with better quality and I do not have any complaints in that perspective. But the communication during the building construction progress could be better. There are a lot of false promises made which affect any individual both mentally and emotionally. It is really hard to change plans with the false promises from the builder.

Good buying experience with sales and escrow.

There were a number of issues with the home and most of them were addressed quickly.

There were a few minor things which weee identified when I did the final walk through which needed attention. I was promised that everything would be made right. I can see now that promise was only good until I completed the homeboy survey sent out. Tony had made sure get a few things fixed before the survey got to me. However, since the survey was submitted, all other things on the list have been quickly forgotten about. As a result, my front door leaked water during a recent heavy storm because the weather stripping was not correctly installed on the front or back doors. Had I not been home at the time of the storm, my entire living room would have been flooded. Please note, part of the carpet did in fact get soaked and I had a huge amount of water to mop up at the entry. I notified Tony about this and he stated that the previous installed of the weather stripping was no longer being used by KB, but he has yet to send anyone to correct this problem. I was also promised a set of blinds for the master bathtub window. The company who was supposed to install them has not delivered yet. There was paint drops on the kitchen cabinets and no one has come to clean them or the sticky glue on the vinyl flooring. I see now that my mistake was in completing the big survey they hounded me about shortly after I closed. If that was all it took for my home’s problems to be ignored so quickly it makes me wonder what will happen if I ever need to file a warrant claim. I don’t like to be constantly calling to make complaints and it should not require such rude behavior to get things made right. It’s don’t know it Tony will even see this review, but this is my last chance to voice my concerns and at least get a message out to other buyers do not be quick to submit your home buyer survey if you have anything thing which was not completed or don’t incorrectly during the construction of your home. Home buying experience was smooth some issues. I have expressed in other surveys that I took for KB homes. As far as the build once completed there was still some cosmetic issues that were not fixed and some workmanship issues with dry walls and electrical. Had our up’s and down’s with closing date that kept changing month to month.

Our experience with the design center was very frustrating. We were unable to get all the upgrades we wanted due to cost restrictions. The building manager ( Brian ) was awesome, he was very responsive and helpful for what ever our needs.

We recently completed a home purchase with KB, and overall, we are pleased with the results. The builder was notably flexible during the purchase process, accommodating our requests and making the experience smoother. While the project did take longer than anticipated, they were diligent about providing updates to our realtor, which we greatly appreciated. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the classification of certain features as upgrades. For instance, items we felt were essential for a modern home, such as LED lighting in the rooms, were considered upgrades. We believe such features should be standard in today's housing market. Despite these points, the quality of the construction and the team's responsiveness were good. We would recommend to anyone looking for a flexible and communicative builder, but suggest discussing what is included as standard versus upgrade early in the process. ... More

Overall the process has been pretty good. The team delivered on a specific date that facilitated an out of state move which was critical. Even though Liberty and Cadence are both KB home developments, there appears to be an unofficial class system with Cadence appearing to have more benefits. The response to the final punch list appears to be a little delayed relative to earlier interactions with the team. May be due to availability of contractors and not related to KB management of the process.

After seeing so many builders and finally finding KB, I absolutely loved the home from the outside to the inside. My family and I felt at home right away. Few issues we found after moving in but the warranty dept was so quick and friendly to respond. Love love my KB Home!

There is always room for improvement, and these aren't high end townhomes. That said, the few issues addressed to the building team were quickly responded to and remedied ( albeit they should not have been there to begin with). Home value, at time of purchase, seems in line with market conditions and the entire build time seems appropriate. Overall, a much better home buy/build experience than anticipated and would recommend at this price point.

Wonderful new house, great craftsmanship, great value/price ratio. Spacious, all works, beautiful. We worked very hard for this for so many years, so now we are really happy to finally be able to settle down (our 1st own home).

Overall it was a okay buying process. The beginning with the sales rep, was very hectic, and unprofessional. After the home was purchased Scott has been great with reaching out to me and making sure everything is good in the home. The only negative part was during the actual buying process. Everything else is great.

I really appreciated all the emails in the building process. Workmanship/Materials: I wish somethings would have been said about the time not being sealed prior to move in. I wish it was also said (if it is said then emphasized more) that the paint will be a matte as well. Both the sealing and the paint should at least be things that people can choose to upgrade through KB. I know everything can't be perfect but I do feel that the painting could have been done better (lots of little dots on my time). Also anything that I asked to be touched up was done, however now it is just as obvious. Trustworthiness: I also feel that it should be explained that if you don't have a realtor to represent you, then KB is just representing themselves which with any company that is not what is best for the customer. Obviously this would take money away from them so it won't happen with any builder. I had a lot of confusion when dealing with KB financial and feel they were talking around my questions to halfway answer so the outcome was best for them. Value I gave 4 because they are very expensive houses. I understand that is the going rate but I feel the sale price is nowhere close to the actual cost to build it. I feel KB definitely does not use the best products (paint company they use says that they water down the cheapest paint that they buy from them). This might be standard with all builders but does not make it "Great" quality. Responsiveness: Great responses prior and once purchased. I haven't really had an issue except for sealing time and paint quality which I had an outside company do. I hope i continue to get great responsive after this review is complete as well. ... More

The builders need to pay more attentions to the fine details. The use of some known brands seems attractive but not practical. double handle instead of single handle on faucets. Drain handle hide behind and set way too low for good looking but you need long and slender fingers to pull it up. missing screws etc. defects on the quartz counter top, punch thru brat nail tips at the base board almost cut my finger, toilet seat fastener cover automatic pop open due to engineering defects, hot and cold water outlet from wall to the pedestal can be seen while sitting at your toilet. we do not expect every single cement block be perfect but paying half a million dollar home, a few corner chipped cement block is not that expensive to pick a good looking one and safe the defective one for your home art works. front walkway bricks came off as you walk and step on it, near falling disaster on my mover. over all, KB has done an excellent job. Builders need to pay more attentions to detail, fine details; that is what I call workmanship or craftmanship. Top brand names may not mean top quality craftmanship. Enjoy. ... More

Overall is good. very smooth. Found some tiny defects, and repaired very quick after reach out warranty. just need pay attention that some SPEC home is 8ft but not 9 ft.

Leslie was very professional and communicated well with me. Christian and Marley also were helpful during my way through. Again…I was living in AZ during my build. I am currently still living in AZ, so I cannot comment on anything in the house at this time. One issue I was disappointed in was a day or two after I closed on my house I noticed an ant problem in my garage. I contacted KB, but no one would respond to my issue, except to tell me to spray for them.

Josh made the loan side of buying a house a breeze! He checked in on us weekly and was always ensuring all of our questions were answered. He even continued to check in on us well after moving in. We have been waiting on a few final touch ups for the house and Josh even reached out recently and offered to help see to those getting done.

I love my home. I wish there were more focus put on ensuring the quality of workmanship from start to finish and the presentation and cleanliness. Other than that, everyone was attentive and helpful to my concerns during the build process. I suggest improving customer service response time during the 30-90 days after move-in as this a critical time for the homeowners as they discover their new home and much of the information provided to them initially were more likely lost or forgotten. Understanding this and being available to homeowners is key to building trust and getting the five star rating. ... More

Mortgage team was extremely diligent and worked with me to get everything I needed. Project manager was also great. Sales team added unnecessary pressure when I was in the middle of selling my other property but I am very happy with my new house.

We are satisfied costumers right now.
