Choose the upgrades. Saves time money and allows you to roll it into your mortgage payment. For the price we're paying for homes in CA, the upgrades will be worth it in the long run.

KB Homes has been great to work with. Everyone has been responsive and helpful. Our home is built very well and is high quality. We are very happy in our new house.

My wife and I bought our house while living in San Diego. Our sales rep Amanda and contractor Ryan kept us up to date throughout the whole process which eased the stress with COVID happening as I was unable to leave San Diego.

It'll never be perfect (finish work is mediocre), but for the price, you can't go wrong. After two new builds with DR Horton, KB is a breath of fresh air. We built our new KB home where we wanted it and how we wanted it. Lots of choices and lots of support from the building and warranty teams. One tip, DO NOT use KB Home Loans. Hands down the worst experience obtaining a mortgage EVER.

Make sure the landscaping is taken care of before closing. We are having issues to resolve after closing.

I purchased the model home and was quite pleased with the workmanship. The materials are of high quality and the style is classic.

The KB homes are well built....although we went with different lenders than KB (since the rates were better for us that way). The warranty on the home and its hardware are honored and the customer service is genuine.

Overall, great experience. A fairly easy process! A little more communication along the way would have been appreciated.

We bought our home while living in New York State. We were anxious and wondering if the builder would listen to us and correct any problems the building inspector found. They did! We are pleased with the home and would not hesitate to recommend KB.

The more I looked around the inside of my home their were a lot of areas that needed touch up or the correct sheen of paint.

There are many moving pieces in buying a new home to be built. KB helps provide the road map to get you from beginning to end and make the entire process as simple as possible. The wide range of homes to choose from as well as the ability to make interior selections made their homes a great fit for my family. Transitioning to being a new homeowner can be overwhelming, but the service teams continue to check in after you move in and are attentive toward issues that come up as well.

Make sure your house is built the same as the model. When you at the design center don’t aloud them to rush you with your selections.

Our Salesman, Scott and our Contractor, Steve, were/are perfect examples of what it takes to walk you through your project and do what it takes to do it right...give the best customer service possible. There were a couple others that did or said things that almost made us walk away. But, because of these two men, we are in our KB Home and we are enjoying our Home. Even now, after 1 1/2 months, our contractor, Steve, is following up on issues to make sure everything the way things are supposed to be.

They could do better on the basic features of all the houses built rather than making every option an upgrade.

As we have lived in our home going on the second month we have found a few things that where not done correctly. Walk through doesn’t allow a through inspection because of course everything can’t be looked over in just a few hours. We love our home just wish something’s weren’t done so poorly.

I am happy so far with KB the way how they are handling issues.

Excellent customer service however, noticed that workmanship and quality of materials are not really good.

The experience of buying a KB home was relatively satisfying.

Services are still needed after moving in.

The plans to the homes built need some work. There were some quirk issues with aisle spacing in the kitchen.

The process of buying a new home is very daunting. I would suggest talking to other other people first to get some insight. Not all home buying experiences are the same. Make sure your finances are in order because, you will be required to offer up a lot fo information. I also, suggest reading the home buyer 101 guide you can find online. Make sure your builder stays engaged with you. I think the most important thing to do is read and ask questions. I have to admit I did feel rushed going to the studio. That is one of the things that I hated about this experience. I hate to be rushed especially when it comes to my money. It's not not just a house it's your home. Don't let anyone rush you or try to tell you what you want. I can't really complain because, I had a great realtor. So, my experience was not as bad as I've heard other people say it is. KB offers decent value for the money and shines in its pre move in time. Overall workmanship of initial construction was fairly good although home was not throughly inspected to find errors. One week waiting period between walk through and final acceptance is costly for out of state buyers and KB offers no compensation. Overall I would give them a B+.
