1. Make sure you look at the model / plan before purchase. This detached home come with neighborhood's air-condition sit inside your back yard and the air blow into your living room sidedoor when the AC is on. 2. They do an unnecessary plant/tree on the sideway to backyard where a paveway is needed instead for trash can to pull into backyard. Because of the plant/tree, there is $200 cost to submit to HOA for review just to remove the plant/tree and add out of pocket to add paveway. 3. We have several ongoing issues in addition to the many, some resolved, experienced. In no particular order: 1) We purchased two ceiling fan presides that were suppose to work off of two wall switches. However, only one switch works and the other is dead (times two). KB electrician blamed us for getting a ceiling fan that he said was not compatible with two switches. That is nonsense as ALL ceiling fans come wired liked the ones we bought. Made me pay my upgrades before house closing at design studio after I was already locked into a contract with an earnest deposit. I think kb could’ve done a better job at making that clear ahead of signing contract. Typically including on my prior kb purchase if your purchase amount is higher than your prequal you come in with the difference at closing not before closing on your home. Also, Has a lot of issues with minor things that were not addressed promptly and still waiting on certain things to be addressed in the home.

KB needs to improve pre contracting briefs for perspective clients concerning the loan process (impacts because of fannie mae and freddie mac requirements). Sub contractors neee to take their time and build a quality product, clean up job sites and no alcohol should be permitted on job sites. Our home had many flaws that required correction prior to closing.

Hard to rank value. There are many things we love about the home but they all came at a price. Construction seems to be solid. Appliances were not installed well. Some big issues going on now with infrastructure in the neighborhood which is unnerving. We will see how it all works out.

Sales team were courteous, polite and responsive. Design Center was ok. Construction Superintendent was fair, at best. I was a cash buyer. No special interest rate, incentive or promotional allowance for me even though most buyers got something. I was promised an $8000 design center credit for paying cash but it was taken away less than 24 hours later because you guys had an overnight price increase and I switched from financing to cash the very next day after signing my purchase agreement. Builder Supervisor Makes Promises But No Follow Up

Having asthma and allergies to pollen I had in my Sales Contract not to plant any trees or shrubs that produce pollen. Construction supervisor has continually promised o supply me with the plants he had landscaper plant in my front yard months ago. I have continually requested this info to no avail. He keeps saying he’ll request it and forward to me. I need the info to verify they don’t produce pollen, and also to care and maintain the plants. He never follows up on my numerous requests and I’m really frustrated with his non-responsiveness.

The new home was reviewed & things pointed out that needed fixed. Painting not completed, saw marks in siding, floors not clean & needed acid washed after moving in. Screws missing out of hinges. Everything was great initially, but the financial part could have been better. The people from KBHS (Loan) worked like they didn't know exactly what they were doing, and in the end, I lost money and time because of them. I am happy to finally be in our home. KB Homes, you may have over promised and under delivered. The sales reps are great. The home studio was nice but did not give all details of available options. When we received the final product (our house), there were several construction issues that we were expected to identify. It's clear to see that KB Homes uses random contractors to complete their builds. This is an area that I would caution buyers to be aware of when dealing with KB Homes.

I like my home and most of the process was good. However, when an issue arose, that KB had not disclosed to me in a timely manner, it was made clear that I was not as important as their bottom line and that "Business was Business" per Jerrod in Management. It was 3 weeks before I was due to close. I think Jerrod would have been happy if I just walked away. The overall home buying experience was okay! There is absolutely no problem with the home but, I wish they treated the customers good enough because we faced issues with the sales person, who was very rude and lacked customer service skills. Despite multiple requests, certain tasks were only completed after persistent follow-ups, leaving a less than satisfactory impression on the customer service front.

The sales person was very helpful. I was disappointed with the fencing. The ground was not level so the fencing between neighbors is not even. They made the fence gates between neighbors higher then the other. The heights of the fences between the houses is high and low. Like the ground is uneven. There are gaps below the fence. I can’t even let the dog out for fear he will slip under the gate and get out. And the space on one side of the house is average and the other side is very narrow. I had major issues with KB since about half way through the home buying process. I was getting minimal updates and my initial time frame was pushed by months. Finally, at the end, my closing kept moving all around which made getting an appropriate private inspection difficult to do. KB stated it needed to be done a week before closing but when my inspector did come, so much still needed to be done and then closing got pushed. The entire process from initial purchase to final move was average. one major item in our kitchen that we were never told about and was not in the model is the exhaust fan above the microwave oven that just doesn't look right and takes away the consistence I the model had above the kitchen cabinet it appears like an after thought. The experience was good but not great. The sales rep Petra was really responsive and was answering questions great until the sale was finalizing. Toward the closing of the property, only information given was delays after delays with no explanation. Had to get construction supervisor involved to get information that was supposedly passed on to the rep.
