overall is good, I like the house and value, just small stuff like painting, outside wall could be better.

Some of the construction details are sloppy

I cannot stress enough that experience with KB homes has been great from the start. The biggest compliment would be that of the customer service. The only negative feedback I would provide is the quality of workmanship. Now that we've been in our house for over a month, we've noticed a decent amount of flaws with paint, caulking, carpet, and others. There are many spots where there is pain "runs" on the doors, even with dents in some of the interior doors. KB has been quick to respond to fix however, it would have been nicer to not have to deal with it at all, especially given the price we paid for the house. ... More

They are quite good to deal with but would consider the construction to be middle of the road. Not having landscaping included has been beyond frustrating as the side and back of the house are all clay that sticks to your shoes and takes a lot of time to get off of everything.

Some slight issues here and there after moving in but KB has been extremely responsive. Thanks to Thom, Dave, Jesus, and all the people at KB for a wonderful home.

Can recommend to others

So first time home owner on my own. They delivered the home a few weeks ahead of schedule, but all fixes that needed attention took weeks to correct. I did have quite a few issues, but when I reported it, managers took care of it right away and were pleasantly attentive. Definitely a value for any one purchasing with KB. I would recommend that upgrades be done after closing . Costs are quite high for what you get with their design center. Over all, very pleased with my choice to purchase here. This review is after 2 months of occupancy. Used KB to finance and homeowners insurance.

Exceptional work.

Only problem I had was there were alot of work debris left over from construction. But once addressed the issue was promptly taken care of. I was also not getting communication from the loan guy that was assigned to me. At first would not return calls until the next day or very later that day and would sometimes not know what to the answer was, even with simple questions. Def5did not have a great experience with that. (The current loan officer).

As a first time home buyer, i was assured that I had a very good team. They are very thorough in their response and excellent pre and post service.

Over all, the customer service of Kb has been great. We have had a few issues moving in, but KB has been extremely responsive and has resolved everything in a timely matter.

The garage is way to small and not smartly designed to maximize space

Very happy with my new home. After moving in we have found minor details and same were noted by our Engineer, Joey and all were taken care of promptly. Very happy with the attention given on matters.

Very Good

KB Home met and exceeded many of my expectations. But it seems like you deal with too many different people during the process and it can get extremely confusing. I did feel as though some of my upgrades were too expensive.

We moved into our new home about 2 months ago. The overall experience with KB has been pleasant. Their staff has been amazing getting all the little odds and ends fixed and wrapped up. With that being said I feel there was a handful of things that were missed that could have been corrected before we moved in. Little odds and ends of holes being left in walls where a railing was moved, a few cracked roof tiles, bathroom fan not even being wired up, and issues with windows not closing and opening right. I also feel as if some of the sub contractors cut some corners to save some money, for example no weed barrier under landscaping. It's hard having to deal with the constant scheduling to have sub contractors out fixing small things that could have been caught before it got to us, but the customer service reps go so far above and beyond to make sure every little detail is corrected in a timely manor. If something comes up they are only a phone call away and get the ball rolling as soon as they hang up the phone. They have never once made me feel like my requests were absurd or unreasonable. ... Construction Supervisor Charles did a great job at every phase and was in touch and available when I needed him.

The overall house is great, we have a better than quoted SEER rating, but the toilet seat won't stay up. The hinges squeak on the pantry door. It is the little things that need attention. The KB Home crew has done an impressive job in correcting all the little detail items that have shown up in our first 30 days, if the subs would have done things correctly on the first go around there would be a 5 star rating up top.

New home buying experience can be intimidating but you just need to know what you need in your new home before you go to the studio.

Finding my first house with KB Homes was a thrilling process. They were very responsive, they told me exactly what was required, and they provided me with steps to closing my deal.

Better quality work in some areas

The folks at KB are great to work with. There are a couple corners that they cut to save $$$, but overall good value.

Disappointed in the quality of the interior paint. Paint splatter is on almost all 1/4 round and floors. Painters did not caulk under any door frames.

We were so happy about everything but the finance process. A delay resulted in us having to pay for mortgage insurance; due to our floors being back ordered. Also, our lot price made our closing cost of our home, higher than our home is even worth.
