The overall workmanship needs improvement. We were hesitant to close on our home, but was assured that these items would be corrected once workorders were submitted. Our lawn has drainage issues on one side of the house, which we were told would be fixed, but hasn’t been. Doug, our sales rep, has always been great with checking in on us and making sure we are okay. I would give him 10 stars off we could.

Construction team lead by the superintendent was awesome I would give them 10/10. Sales team I would not recommend. One of the workers were not knowledgeable on the models and seemed to just say what we wanted to hear. The Mortgage lending process could have been a lot more efficient. One of the staff would never answer her phone and seemed to be unorganized.

Overall not so good experience buying home at KB.

i think the communication was not great. i needed to be on top of the sales team and the lender to get answers

I was happy buying a new home but now after a couple months I am feeling somewhat discriminated, there was options which was never offered or told I could get, I did some research with a few neighbors and found out they were offered those options to them.

They push to get house closed before issues are resolved and state the warranty process will take care of it.

Within the first month we had issues with the down stairs bathroom toilet clogging. We also had water coming/flooding from the upstairs shower through the walls down stairs. I was assured there was no damage, however, I don't know how this can be known if no one went in to look. I worry about mold developing in the future. Also there was a busted sprinkler pipe in the yard which flooded the yard and inflated my water bill. There are a handful of other things

Responsiveness could’ve been better at Laurel Grove.

KB is a good builder.Contractor will work with you.Make sure and know all that you want and install before you purchase and visit the home frequently during the build.

Beautiful designs of homes, but the quality of the materials used interior/exterior was not satisfactory. Also, some structure choices are questionable when it comes to sound deadening.

KB has affordable houses and they are all very updated with new technology. However, things in my home were rushed and not done correctly. From un level windows and light-switches (yes noticeably crooked) to a water main bursting in the first two weeks. I do give KB kudos for actively fixing all the issues but still the headache of contractors coming in to my new home to fix things during COVID has been annoying. The customer service team is responsive and proactive because they know that the workers who built the homes did not do so to standard. All new homes have issues that need to be worked through understandably, and Gary (customer service guy) is great at assuring me things will be fixed. This is my first actual new home I’ve ever purchased. Prior to my purchase I had a used home that was made by KB when I lived in SoCal. I’ve never had any issues with that house that I previously lived in, and that was the main reason why I decided to make my first home purchase with KB. In my personal opinion it seems as if there has been a decline in the craftsmanship and focus on quality for my specific home I purchased. However, my property custom service is KB’s saving grace. He working extra had to right all the wrongs I’ve experienced since I took delivery of my home. We still aren’t done, but I have confidence in in his abilities to address all of my concerns. ... Great home but the experience was a nightmare.

The KB home sales office staff, building superintendent and warranty personnel were excellent. very caring and personable.

The builder helped us allot

Issue have still yet to be resolved even after did the last survey. You would think they would jump right it after my last survey. There is really no sense of urgency to resolve my concerns.

Material this house used was cheap even we paid for upgraded

The salesperson we dealt with was not forthcoming about the true price of the home or the options we would be getting in the home. Our concerns were not addressed properly until we reached out to higher management on our own as our sales agent would not do it. Once we tried to be made whole and expressed the concern to her manager, there was nothing done about it and we were made to feel like it was our fault and we were stuck. Outside of the sales agent and her boss that we dealt with, everyone else was great. Especially the project manager/builder. He took all of our concerns seriously and if there was nothing that could be done, he took the time to explain why. He was great! ... More

Easy to work with and very fast processing for loans

Initially the commitment to customer service and quality helped seal the deal, as we got more into the process these things quickly disappeared. Part of what we were sold was the commitment to communication, customer service, and quality. We felt like we couldn't trust anything we heard from anybody, we were told what people thought we wanted to hear. Communication seemed to be the number one thing that we were told was going to happen, far from it. Some of the issues like communication wouldn't have been much of a problem if it wasn't pushed that it was such a priority, creating a chance for expectations to not be met. We love our home, the features, design, and location, unfortunately we have several issues that we will need to address soon from workmanship. We know after building 3 houses things come up, but we have ran into some concerning issues that we will be contacting KB to fix. ... More

Good for equity building.

Had to do 3 walk throughs. When something needed to be fixed, it created other new issues. The person doing the walk through tried to get me to just nod, say yes, and sign off on the house. He got very annoyed when I refused. When other issues arose I dealt with Mark. He was fantastic in getting my concerns taken care of in a timely manner.

As owners we have had to deal with numerous issues, from paint , drywall, cabinetry, hardware, and electrical. It has taken a lot longer than we think it should have to resolve these issues. We're also lucky that we have somebody in the house to be there for all of these various appointments that have had to be made to take care of these issues. If not, either my wife or I would have missed quite a bit of work to be at the house.

Check everything from top to bottom , this way you won't be surprised. Go see your home , ask questions.
