While some items weren't immediately noticeable, we have quite a few issues with floor levels, improper installation of fixtures, chunks missing from door frames, loud air conditioner that vibrates bedroom wall despite adding additional insulation, landscape died before move-in, etc. We were supposed to be contacted for a 10 day and 30 day after inspection and never were. We had issues that were basically going to be ignored if we didn't push and are still awaiting fixes.

The quality of work is unsatisfactory. I have to hire my own inspector to inspect the work that they do. JD - the superintendent does not return phone calls on time or does not attend to your needs or questions. He told me that he is to update me once a week but never did. Sometimes he doesn’t even call you back. I have to get the help from my realtor or KB home realtor to get my questions answered. After choosing to go with KB Home to build my very first home, I must say that this experience could have been better. The property looked good until my family and I moved in. There were a few inconveniences inside the home that had to be fixed. Plus all the midges or blind mosquitoes that were inhabiting the house when we moved in. And don’t get me started on the untreated pond behind the house. 1 Low Voc paint is tacky months later on all the flat surfaces and I am going to have to do something else to fix that as it's already ruined 2 Plastic plumbing parts that are already breaking 3 Yard was not leveled when filled and before sod was put down so it is tacky looking and uneven. My wife and I found Aurora Heights about ten months ago as a developing community. The first impressions were very grand. The salesmen seemed nice and personable and we really liked the floorplans available. We put our deposit down fairly quickly and took a dive commited to buying our first home. I have been in my house since June and I am still waiting for issues to be fixed. KB is quick to get the closing done but not so quick on getting items identified on the punch out list fixed.

The studio selection was all a money grab. I kept being told how I wasn't spending enough money, and I should spend more. We chose to add a gas line to our home. When we started looking at gas stoves for possible upgrades in studio, we were taken to the Lowes website. KB was trying to charge us roughly $200 more for the same stove that large hardware stores sale. Not only would I have to pay more than if I purchased directly from that store but KB would keep the electric stove that was built into the home price and not give me credits for it. Overall we are happy with our home. Specifically we had a great experience with our sales person James who continues to go above and beyond with communication and service. Our first studio visit was rough. We found out on our second studio visit that the studio rep from the first visit had added extra features we didn’t ask for. Thankfully we caught it before everything progressed to construction. Construction has a few problems. They resolved most of them but a few problems remain. Overall my home is nice but I wish the quality of work would have been better. Some of the work was done subpar and I have some items that need to be addressed because they were not done correctly at all. For the price I paid for the home I would have expected the workmanship to have been better.

The experience was very positive until we started dealing with the finance department of KB Homes. We have great credit and credit scores and was going to put a down payment of half the cost of the house, yet the finance department (Mr. Aguilar) failed to be transparent with communication on items that was needed and the request for unusual request for letters for the home purchase was too much. Stipulate your issues from the start and demand contact at least once a week for updates. Do not stand for getting bullied for using your own lender. I recommend Rocket mortgage. After your deposit with KB, you have 30 days to back out, threaten them that there are other builders waiting for your business.

Bought a brand new home in Falling Water 2 and the build quality is not as good as I would expect with a new home and under the brand of KB Homes. The roof above my garage is bowed and they keep telling me it is a cosmetic defect... I am hiring roofing company to give me a second opinion

ensure that all problems are fully resolved before you receive the house. Never sign the papers after walk-through if you have any issues in the house,they will say they gonna fix it just sign the papers but it will take them forever to fix it! Once the turnover is done, it is very hard to fix these issues, particularly when dealing with customer care service

My overall experience with KB Home was challenging from start to finish. I did not feel fully valued as a customer at any point in the process. My concerns were often dismissed or addressed only after repeated follow-ups. The communication between sales, construction, and the design studio was inconsistent and caused avoidable delays and mistakes.
