Lived in my house less than 45 days and multiple things have broken, my garage wouldn’t work and then my washing machine broke. Brand new washing machine and trying to figure out who to contact and if it was under warranty or if I’m responsible to cover costs was frustrating. Everyone was pointing fingers at each other. I love my house but I feel like as a new build less than 60 days living in it I shouldn’t be having these many problems already.

Craftsmanship is horrible. Cheaply build house for a lot of money

Overall we are happy to have the home but towards the end of the build it was very difficult to get issues addressed or fixed in a timely manner. There were even several small issues they promised to fix after move in because we were so fed up with the delays and needed to move. Suffice to say we’ve been here a few months now and none of the issues have been taken care of. We were also told there would be a complementary 30 day paint touch up that has definitely not happened. Feels like we were on our own after we moved in.

My expectations were not satisfactory, too many construction details that I am still finding, several defects of the house have not yet been corrected, despite being reported. At the time of the closing there was too much misinformation and lack of coordination between the bank and the construction company, causing the closing date to be changed several times. I would like that they could correct all the details to obtain what I initially bought.

KB Homes throughout the sales and construction process is a good partner, however, once our home was delivered with a number of issues we have been unable to get any resolution from KB. They sold us the home in a manner inconsistent with how it was sold and then disappeared. Quality is fine, though there are major oversights and issues with the home.

Lack of supervision throughout the build process. Terrible response to issues/concerns. Complete disconnect of management and leadership. I would never buy another KB home. Quality and customer service does not exist.

I suggest not to close until all issues are resolved. After you close they take for ever to resolved your problems. I closed 3 months ago and still waiting for a cabinet door.

KB needs to hire professional and qualified construction workers

After a 16 month build process, I closed with a list of items needing completion by the construction team. While we had progress with some, we are at a standstill with other basic tasks. After involvement of local leaders through escalating the matter, it is clear that my concerns are not a priority for them.

Construction manager informed us that ours was a “production home” not a “custom home” and that the flaws we pointed out could be fixed. We thought we were getting a “new” home, not a fixer-upper.

There was a rush to get the closing done without completing all repairs found during the inspection. As a result several are still not repaired 1 month later including a non-working kitchen sink drain which was plugged with construction debris. Does not appear to be an priority placed on getting the repairs since the house has been closed on

This company has made promises with very slow progress in delivery. I am experiencing water retention against the foundation of my home. The rain water last for days. I have been requesting a drain installation however months later after closing in April now June no French drain just leave with standing water.

The experience during home construction was fine until towards the end. Felt rushed during final home inspection and was promised things would be addressed at scheduled check ins after moving in but never got followed up on. Reps would be incredibly slow to respond. KB home just wants you to buy and after closing the level of customer service takes a nose dive.

I enjoyed picking out my home and designing it. However,, like any new home there are always issues that need to be resolved. Here is where they have been lacking. After 60 days in my new home, the issues have been left unfinished.

The quality of the build and finishing work on the home was well below the standards I would expect especially for a half a million dollar house. Multiple issues with the home, some that have taken multiple attempts to fix, and many more smaller issues that at this point I’m just tired of submitting claims. A hinge on the cabinet door in the laundry room keeps coming off, a lot of the door handle throughout the home were placed inside out, the medicine cabinet is crooked and doesn’t stay closed. Been in my home 6 weeks and I'm still waiting on ceiling fans, bathroom mirror, and the correct refrigerator. Ceiling fans are in. I took a day off work on the scheduled day and no one showed up. Still waiting. This part is very frustrating.

Extremely disappointed when I moved into the property. There were so many deficiencies with this new construction. It is evident there was no quality oversight provided. Some of the following deficiencies include the windows not properly aligned, several areas needed a new coat of paint, missing door hinge, missing seal strip on the front door and garage entry door, missing sliding door screen, access to the attic was not leveled and painted, dry wall issues, leftover flooring was scattered in the garage, dead mosquitoes on window ledges, rust in the tub area due to old screws, white cement or caulking bits were on the tub, very dirty sliding door track. Just recently, the irrigation in the back pounded on the back glass sliding door making a loud noise very early in the morning. There is currently a temporary fix and not sure when it will be permanently fixed. Also, just discovered and reported a water leak in the garage to Luke yesterday. In addition, thought dual paned windows would be a standard but it is very apparent they are not nor are the walls condo specs. This feels more like an apartment instead of a townhome. One positive comment is Luke and Gunner's quick responsiveness. They are very professional and make every effort to try and resolve issues as quickly as possible. This should not be a reflection on ther performance on trying to resolve these issues. I realize KB is using contractors and laborers that do not work directly for KB but the builder should take accountability for not putting in appropriate and necessary quality oversight in place. We got our house eventually for a reasonable price and many things are decent. But to be a little more critical, that's what people want, right? A lot of the processes weren't working out for them whether it's financial aspect, construction, communication (with delays regarding covid material shortage and "labor shortage"), the quality of work, etc.

As a first time homebuyer, I was looking forward to the experience but was a bit disappointed with the overall experience. For the most part, the initial process was fine, however, after deciding to utilize another lender the process seemed to deteriorate. The closing date changed a few times and seemed rushed and pressured while the house was nowhere near ready. After closing and signing the closing documents, it was days before I received the keys as utilized a different lender (not KB). We wore surprise how KB install products that we didn't order without our authorization such as toilets and stove. If we don't notice no buddy mentioned. At this time, we still wearing for KB to replace a cabinet that apparently was damage during installation not to mention how poor are the kitchen cabinets terminations. Plus, we close in February 28,2022 and as of today April 30, 2022, we also still wearing for toilets replacement, range replacement and gutters installation.

I feel that for the price paid for the home, the quality should have been better. I continue to find things , that's not well put together.

Difficulty with consistent workmanship

We signed for our home with them promising to fix several items on the home. Out side has not been painted Garage door is dented and weather stripping is falling off. Our wall in main entry is bowed. With a major curve in it.the other day a worker showed up to fix the wall and only had a hammer he smacked the wall 5 times breaking the base board and moving the wall back 2 inches still needs to be redone and now tile does not match wall . So need a tile guy to redo 2 tikes. a interior wall repatched and replanted (Not sure how you fix a wall with just a hammer and no materials. Front irrigation has never worked having broken pipes under ground the plants are now dead and we asked to be replaced. Emails are not responded to. Today a worker came fixed one pipe did not replace plants. Now No one returns emails or request. Our cabinets in kitchen is damaged and still missing one knob that they can not find. When asked they say supply chain or out of stock it been 2 month missing one knob. Bathroom shower is missing the piece that separates the 2 glass doors. Bedroom closet is unable to open or close. All small issues but no communication or follow thru Our buying experience was going great but now there is a disconnect and we start to feel jaded by not completing these small defects. What the model home is and what is delivered down the street is 2 totally different products. Kind of disappointed as this was suppose to a great community. ... More

I am still waiting on a few jobs to be corrected or finalized in house. I have been told to "be patient" or just do not hear back to set up a date for completion. It is now going to be hard (after 2 months) to get dates coordinated due to my work schedule. 1) Lawn is horrible as they put in pods after cold front and nothing is "filling in" as I was advised. It is very "sandy" and on one side of house the pads are not growing together. 2) 2 new doors, to fix issues with doors at closing, were ordered incorrectly and still waiting to get them replaced. 3) No one has come to put "pads" on bottom of slider doors to fill in area that bugs can get in and air conditioning can go thru costing me money. 4) I was told at closing they would come to do "touch up" paint that has not happened, 2 months past closing. 5) Master bath toilet is lose and causing me to primarily have to use the guest bathroom being afraid it will completely seperate causing bigger issues. 6) I was never given a tutorial on setting up irrigation system. Each time I had an issue someone came and made adjustment without advising me or showing me what they were doing. They system kept running in cycles one after the other causing me to have a water bill of over $200 for the first month living here.
