KB does make the home buying as easy as possible

Tom was great throughout the whole process from start to finish. He was always very responsive and eager to help solve any issues we were running into. For the sales team, Iman also was very responsive and tried to satisfy all of our needs. At first, we were not too pleased with the process, communication, and updates we were receiving. We voiced those feelings to Iman and she listened to what we had to say and went out of her way to make sure we were happy with our decision. Communication is lacking in my opinion. Lots of last minute things causing more stress. Construction did a great job and communication was good with them. They were on top of getting repairs scheduled timely. Getting the home move in ready inside and out was not completed to my satisfaction. It could have been mowed and cleaned up better.

Fantastic experience during the purchasing phase and the project engineer primary point of contact is excellent in assisting to take care of any concerns or questions during the walk-thru and move in periods. However, there have been a few items that have needed attention post-move in but the process for resolution is smooth and prompt. There are a few concerns about quality in materials used especially the interior paint which may require additional expense to repaint with a product that can be wiped down without exposing the underlying drywall. I would like to have seen a bit more space allocated to the extra bedrooms for my particular floor plan, even if it means making the great room/living room a bit smaller. Getting requests processed through the current KB Home contracted Home Owners Association (HOA) has been a more of a challenge than it should be. Builders from the start gave weekly updates on the construction of the home. Layout of the home turned out well and any issues or repairs needed after closing are being resolved periodically.

Everyone was very helpful from beginning to end. It felt like the Sales Agent wanted us to purchase the home and they did all they could to insure our purchase went smoothly. After the purchase, KB Homes continued to make sure our house became a home by providing various professional courtesies for our property. We are very happy we chose KB Homes as our builder.

Overall, the home building experience was pretty seamless and I am satisfied with the final product. Working with Juliet of KBHS Home Loans was a good experience but I did not agree with some of their policies when it came to locking interest rates and floating down rates. I had two mortgage brokers question the legality of their pay back policy if I were to switch lenders. I also missed out on the opportunity to float down my rate to 5.75% because I was just outside of my window for eligibility. For the most part, the builders were good but there were some instances where I pointed out issues or concerns and they were brushed off or made to seem unimportant. They eventually were able to correct all of the issues but it took a lot of follow up to ensure things were done proper. The design studio was great and there were a lot of excellent options to make selections from. My only gripe is the strict cutoff time for the end of your appointment. I was able to take my time on everything but my external selections. I had to rush to pick brick and color scheme and left questioning my decisions. ... More

The sales agent and Superintendent responded, answered, and solved my questions or concerns quickly.

Rita from Sales was great as was Mike from the construction team. However the mortgage team was not great and the warranty guys just stink. But bottom line, headaches aside we love our new home.

I was able to see the whole process of kb building my home. They even let me choose the lot I wanted. I'm a disabled veteran and I was able to use my GI bill to make this home purchase, and it was actually easy to do. I didn't have to compete with other home buyer for my home. Thank you kb homes for making it possible overall I'm satisfied with my new home. You guys also gave my kids a nice back yard and patio, l love that so much it a perfect spot for grilling and relaxing.
