Experience was great overall

Lots of upgrades that drives tge home price up. But in our case we love the way everything came together!!

Found a great home in a wonderful location, the KB team worked to get us moved in quickly and the whole experience has been quite rewarding!

I have purchased 6 homes, 3 of which were new construction and this experience went far beyond anything I've ever experienced. First, my sales person, Kevin, was phenomenal. He was charismatic, attentive and went over and above without being pushy. He sent weekly updates with pictures during the build and followed up after move-in to let me know he was still there if needed. The design process was terrific too with an extremely knowledgeable and helpful designer who also didn't push for more expensive options, but provided all info for me to decide. And the construction team was terrific as well with touchpoints during the build. The frame walk was one I never experienced as every intricate detail was explained. Any issues that needed repair were immediately handled and always very friendly and responsive. I would recommend KB to everyone as I have finally found my forever home! ... More

Nice house, great after sales service

The services were great, everyone was very helpful make you feel comfortable. We asked a lot of questions and they had the answers. We had amazing experience thank you.

The quality of basic things such as toilets and shower heads, etc. are on the lower end of the price range of such items. Be prepared to pay extra for all upgrades on everything--Best advice is only pay for upgrades in construction (eg--added covered patio, extra bath conversion) that will be difficult to do later or if there is something you see/want that's really important to you--then upgrade the rest of your amenities yourself as often you will pay less for things like cabinet knobs and light fixtures elsewhere.

We had a great experience with buying our first home with KB. Steve and the rest of the sales staff at Montecito were very helpful and accommodating. We also used Ryan as part of the KB mortgage loan team to walk us through the process of the actual purchase. He helped us every step of the way. Everyone made our first home buying experience a great one!

My lack of experience or knowledge did not matter as a first time home buyer. This KB Team was an absolute dream come true. Being very patient, kind, and trustworthy, and giving me assistance and feedback every step of the way. When something needed adjusting or fixing, the team Jose led was exceptionally quick to make sure things were as I requested or ordered. Alex in the design team was so easy and knowledgable to work alongside. The Construction Managers were equally exceptional to work with as well. When special cupboard door handles went out of stock, one manager was quick to special order the item for my home from E-bay himself. When I thought the plants were too high maintenance, Jose personally chose new plants for me, and planted them himself. Jeff made sure what wasn't done by my final walk through was taken care of by closing. Jose's presence throughout my first home buying experience was reassuring, and filled with integrity. Each person of my team from KB has exceptional integrity and made my dream of buying a home so easy and come true. I have a beautiful new home with many thanks to each one. I am so grateful for each one of you! I have been truly very blessed to know each one of you. (Oh, and I can't forget the construction crews either! The process was excellent with the representatives of KB; each was and is responsive and thorough in their work. Further, they were trustworthy--if something could not be done, they were honest about it. I have a beautiful home!

Everything seemed nice except the carpet and padding. It seemed thin and cheap.

Good house only issue is some items about 6 weeks over due

We gave you an excellent review when we first moved in, but since then we have had a bad experience with Sunpower. We had solar in our previous home and wanted to use our previous contractor, but KB required us to use Sunpower. We closed escrow on Dec. 2, 2020, and we still do not have solar activation as of Feb.17, 2021. Sunpower can give us no good reason for the delay. They said the City had the wrong address on the permit. (sounds like an excuse from Sunpower) When we called Sunpower, we talked to someone in the Philippines and then someone in Texas. We get monthly reports that list ZERO in the data because the solar is not activated. How can we get this resolved? Do we have to remove the panels and get our own contractor ? Instead of the 5 star review we gave you originally, we are submitting a 2 star review now. ... More

This is my second KB home and this process was great.

Working with the Dan, the Supervisor post closing, he was very communicative and thorough in checking in on my satisfaction with quality of the work and addressing any concerns.

Every one was very helpful and quick to respond! They made the process very easy and stress free!
